someone needs to make a puffer thread

ive always loved puffers and would like one sometime. im planning on having either a 10 or 20gal setup and was wondering what the best species for me to look into would be. preferably something a little hardy since im still not that confident in my fish keeping abilities

i know they need snails and i already have that taken care of. ive got pond snails galore in my 20gal community tank lol

I'm gonna go ahead and say that to the best of my knowledge, the only puffers that stay small enough for either of those are dwarf puffers. Most puffers get big, they're messy and they're smart, so they need bigger tanks. dwarfpuffers.com is a good website and forum for info about them, though the people in the forum aren't the nicest I've encountered, don't let that discourage you from using their knowledge.

Hey there! I moved this thread to the Suggestion Box Subforum. =)

Also, You could look at FishLore.com (of which I am a member of lol). Its a forum site, but there is also a place for non-members to do reasearch on all things fish realted. There are a few Puffer profiles, I think.

I will definatly go do some reasearch and see what I can find, and post a Puffer Care Guide. I also encourage you to do your own research wink
