[[ D-3 is entering the thread upon leaving his Home Base! Up to five other Delta members can join him, which I will keep track of here for posting order reasoning, especially if/once other teams hop in. Also, if anyone wants me, my AIM is Mediciner1234. 8D

"Shi-!"

For the second time in ten minutes, D-3 nearly slid on the jagged rocks that seemed to stretch for forever around him. The infernal fog was not only obstructing his vision of the world before him, but also his own feet. He literally had his arms stuck out to keep his balance, and after scraping his own knee on this particular instant he decided to stop and take a breather.

Ten minutes out and he felt like a baby in a lonely, unforgiving world. "Gaaah . . . Guess we don't have to worry about enemy attacks for right now," he said to himself with a sigh. Joy?

"Threesy does not have very good balance does he?"

Eleven unlike three had been happily skipping along, unhiddened by the fog or the slippery rocks in her cheery path. Eleven was not at all worried about tripping over something she couldn't see thanks to the fog and the mask because so far the scenery hadnt changed at all and if it hadnt changed by now in her mind it wasnt going to change.

Still... maybe she should help Threesy with his balance trouble, it wouldnt be very good for him to fail before they even met another team! It would be a disgrace.

[D-5 is entering the area. Feel free to hit me up for IM chats too. AIM: Nekogurly387]

"I doubt anything could see it's way through all this fog..." 5 grumbled a little as she caught up to the other two, rubbing her head some as if to try and get rid of a headache. All this fog was making her feel a bit nervous and despite telling herself over and over again that it would be alright... even though the realistic part of her knew most of them would end up dead. It wasn't worth it to psych herself out right now just to end up in a little puddle somewhere trapped in her own mind... though... if this fog kept up she could see how some might end up feeling that way.

"Wonder if there are any other teams around... besides ours that is. Most of the memories are foggy, but there seemed to be more people than what made up the deltas in that room..."

God, but his heart leapt when he heard their familiar voices! D-3 knew he was right when he said nobody should go alone in this mist. It was a terrible, terrible thing to be alone in for too long . . . And he had only been so for maybe ten minutes! To imagine even longer . . . And the guy shuddered.

He turned to greet his comrades with a hearty wave. "Howdy, Eleven, Five -"

Thirteen -

D-3 shook it off. "Yeeeeah. Balance is kinda hard with all the fog - or maybe it's just me being a 'tard." He gave a self-deprectiating chuckle. "S'for whether we got company, well . . . Coulda sworn there were more of us before, right?" It was all so fuzzy and vague . . . A classroom, a grim warning about masks, and nothing before and between then and now . . .

"Yeah, gotta be more. There's only twelve of us on Delta, which I bet means there's at least an alpha and a beta team out there. I think."

"Ooooh I should hope theres more of us otherwise this isnt a very hard test! There's no fun at all if we dont have other teams to fail."

Why yes Eleven seemed rather intent on having other people to kill fail. And it was creepy. And they should be very very glad she'd deemed them off limits for failiure.

"The real question is how long till we meet them! I hope it isnt too much longer! I'm gettin' kinda bored."

(( Delta Ten entering! ))

Ugh, what had Delta Ten gotten himself into? He'd caught up with the group he'd followed and he had the vague impression it was turning into the Happy Train group. He was starting to think Eleven might be mentally deranged, but apart from being annoying, he preferred deranged to stupid or emotional. Though he could tell he was going to have to spend a lot of energy being patient with her and D-3. Just do what's best for surviving, he told himself.

"Just be careful where you step, we should pace ourselves anyway," He said simply. In a way it was a comment on their clumsiness, but it was also a practical suggestion; if they went too fast and wore themselves out they'd be in trouble if they were ambushed.

"Doesn't matter how many there are, really. Either we compete with a small amount of people or we compete with a large amount. Either situation will be similar, because a large competitive pool will also fight each other," he commented. In other words, the more people, the more likely others would be killing and not them. Not that he wasn't planning on doing his fair, should the time arise. He wanted one of those spots in the final 13.

Beeep beep beeeeeeeeep.

Any attention Eleven may have been giving the others was retracted as her sole focus became her mobile. Another message? Eyes taking it in quickly she froze.

Five. Five pendants. All five an auto pass. She must get one. suddenly the health of her team mates went down on her lists of priorities, who cared about being associated with failures when there was an auto-win out there? Though. She guessed the people with her right now could be included on her don't fail list still. She'd still have plenty of chance of getting the pretty pendant.

"Eleven will be getting one of these and hopefully you shall too but don't get in Elevens wa-"

Her voice was cut off as the fog suddenly swirled around her, engulfing her like a hungry lion.

Well. There went Eleven.

((EXITING.))

Delta Ten heard the beep of his phone, chiming in with all of the others, and reached for it immediately. It was funny, he thought, how such a sound brought about such specific reactions to them all. He scanned over the new message warily. A pendant, hm? He certainly wanted one of those. But, he wasn't stupid enough to think that getting one would be easy. It was likely he was going to have to fight something or someone for it, or do some other test, and that didn't even include other squad members or teams...

And there went Eleven and her ridiculous third person. It took him a minute to process what she had said because, damn, that third person s**t was annoying. He agreed with her attitude, respected it even, but she lost a lot of points in his book with that crazy type of talking she did. He snorted, because getting in her way? No, he planned to go right past her and get the pendant himself, if he had the choice. Best to see what was going on, though.

He was about to retort something back to her, when she vanished due to the fog. Not only that, but the fog began to tease around him too, until it smothered him out of sight and he was gone.

"I'll be watching my step better, honest -"

And then suddenly there was a rush of beeping between them, and Eleven and Ten were gone. Wha -

D-3 opened his phone to check and . . . Oh God.

Five. Five guarenteed.

"H-HOLD UP GUYS, I'M COMING TOO!"

[[ D-3 exiting. ]]

Delta 5 had been moving slowly forwards, trying to get a better feel for the area they were in without losing sight of the group when she could hear her phone as well as the others ringing. 'Lovely... wonder what this is going to be now. I'd rather not check... but... what the heck...' she sighed while reaching down, sliding the phone out of her pocket and flipping it open.

5 pendants... 5 people who would have a free pass on day 7 if they had one. This just got more complicated.

Anyone who didn't try for it would be stupid... but at the same time, anyone who got one would be made a target for the next several days. Who knew how many would die while in possession of one, and asking for help would just be stupid as everyone wanted to survive. This train of thought went on for a few more moments before 5 realized that she was alone there and everyone else had run off or something. "Great... well... here goes nothing... not like I'm going to sit around here." And off she went.
