Is it just me, or do Disney hats remind anyone else of slightly larger yamakhas with novelty ears on them?

LOL, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Walt Disney was a Christian, but I'm not sure if he himself thought of the idea for the hats...It could have been a Jewish person. Who knows? Aren't yamakhas only worn my men though?
Would the idea of a woman wearing a Mickey Mouse yamakha be sacrilegious? xd

Actually the rumours are that Disney was a racist and an anti-semite... but apparently they've been blown out of proportion or something and it wasn't really true. Well, the racist thing probably was a little because let's face it, it was like the 40s and the dude made "Song of the South" and that.

Yes, women can wear yamakhas too.

But I didn't mean to imply that they wear in any way "meant" to be yamakhas, just that they reminded me of them.

Yeah, although Disney movies have always reflected the attitudes of the times, whatever they may be.

@Renkon Ah, OK. You know, all this talk made me want to read the Wikipedia article on yamakhas. There's a cute picture in the article showing children's yamakhas with characters from Sesame Street, Disney, and the like.Mickey ones wouldn't be much of a stretch, although they wouldn't have the ears XD.
