This has been bugging me a lot the past week or so. I'm so scared that i'm gonna get tired of the Beatles. I mean, I adore them, and for the last six months particularly I've been obsessed. I realize that I will obsess over many things, but I'm so scared that someday I'll wake up and feel ambivalent about them. gonk

That's one of the things I love about the beatles (not growing out of them but) - how its impossible to just stop liking them. something else might come along but they will always be there to fall back on. plus its music that you can still like 50 years from now. I've only been "obsessed" <-- strong word, with them for this past year and it hasn't fizzled at all. well i have to go because my 5 year old niece is trying to type with me. <3 Kimmeh

I love them! I can't help it! Their music still rocks after all these years! I first started seriously getting into the Beatles when I was 14, and my obsession hasn't died, it's GROWN. So, don't worry about it.

Nice pornographic signature, Epona Bride. I don't know how it can possibly show up on the school compy, but whatever. domokun
In the meanwhile, to respond to your query, I don't think I'll ever get too tired of the Beatles. I've liked them since the third grade. They were probably my first favorite band. 3nodding I take enough breaks from them by listening to my other favorite musicians, such as Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Talking Heads, etc., etc., etc. I'm not one to obsess over something like the Beatles to such a huge extent. I'm just a loyal, rock-steady fan. mrgreen
I'm definitely not obsessed enough to want to have a picture like yours in my sig. neutral But maybe that's just me.

I fall in and out of my 'phases' of music all the time. Currently I'm in a David Bowie phase, but that's only because I don't have my laptop anymore, so I can't listen to music and surf the 'Net/write my stories at the same time without making my parents yell for me to turn my music down so that it doesn't interfere with them watching television. So my music trend has been a bit stationary for the past few months, though on any other occasion I would probably go through a few months of Beatle-obsession, a few more of Pink Floyd-obsession, then some Who, Rolling Stones, and more David Bowie.
So, you could be very well falling out of your 'Beatles' phase, but that doesn't mean you'll suddenly stop liking them altogether. Just listen to some other music for a bit, then listen to the Beatles again and I'll bet you'll love them just as much as you did before. (:

Trust me, I feel your pain. I LOVE the Beatles, but they're actually a replacement obsession from Lord of the Rings. What happened when I get a new found obsession? I don't think I could ever toss the Beatles aside like I did Tolkien.... But anything can happen. crying

I think deepxmagic's the one with the pornographic image. ;D
Yeah, I've grown in and out and back into my obsessions with The Beatles. Don't worry. I'm sure they'd understand.
And like Kimmeh said, they'll always be there for us.
