[[Delta Nine entering Beach from the Lighthouse]]
As she took those first few steps onto the sand, Delta Nine took a moment to take in her surroundings. The beach was just as dismal as the lighthouse had been. Honestly she wasn't sure what she'd been expecting. Blue waters and white sands? Hah. Not likely. Delta Nine wasn't sure why she felt so disappointed about it.
Annoyed, now, Delta Nine kicked at the sand as she waited for her group to catch up. She paused, exhaled, and shifted her position. Arms akimbo, she widened her stance and peered out over the open sea.
This was the worst beach ever.

((Delta One, entering the beach after travelling from the lighthouse))
She followed Delta Nine onto the sand, feeling about as comfortable as she guessed she ever would, with Delta Five and Delta Eight accompanying them. A quick glance around provided her an idea of what they were dealing with here. A big, empty beach, full of sand and water. Ok, well not exactly empty. How many other people from other squads were lurking around this place? Probably a fair few, with the same thoughts that they had had about escape. She felt a shiver go up her spine. She hadn't really expected anything more, had she? It couldn't have been as easy as a stroll along a path, without any dangerous encounters, to a beach where rescue could have been waiting. Nope. Of course not. So why did she feel so hollow inside when she looked around, like this revelation was just now sinking in? She came to stand beside Delta Nine, and spoke, her voice sounding quite bitter. "Well, this was complete bust" She glanced over her shoulder for Eight and Five to join them, again her mind wandering to the bandages she knew Eight had in his backpack on that first day, when they first woke up in the tent. She wondered if he still had them, or had been looted? She wouldn't bother asking, he'd probably just lie anyways. It was funny how quickly her mood soured once they actually reached their destination and saw absolutly nothing worthwhile.

[Delta 5 entering the Beach from the Lighthouse]
Seriously. This was it? For some reason Delta 5 had been expecting a little bit of something... more. Anything really other than just a seemingly endless space of ocean and sand. No signs of life at the moment but they can't have been the only two teams on the island so getting lazy now could prove to be their downfall.
"Okay then... so... glad to hear I'm not the only one completely disappointed with this. I don't even see any signs of other teams here, if there are any since the fog cleared." Delta 5 sighed and couldn't help but kick the sand a bit with disappointment. Seemed that Delta 1 and delta 9 were in the same frame of mind as they took in the scene before them.

(Delta 8 entering, from the lighthouse) "At least there aren't trees also hindering our vision." Delta 8 spoke, as he came up along side Delta 5. "Though I was hoping for something...more. Maybe better sight." Less fog would be nice, it'd always be nicer really.
"Glad I can join you guys." Very glad, he was nervous about being here but he wanted to survive this, and he figured being with others would at least help when monsters showed up. As far as other people attacking, he hoped he could handle that on his own. It was this reason, surviving and not being attacked by other people, which kept him from mentioning the extra bandages he had on his person. It would be suicide to mention them, that he was sure of.
"Are we planning to stay here?"

Delta Nine wasn't pleased with what they'd found by coming here. Rather, what they hadn't found. There was a large expanse of sand, a larger expanse of water, and that was pretty much it. She could appreciate what Delta Eight said though, about the trees.
"That's the only thing we have going for us," she mumbled sourly in response to the lack of trees. The text said to watch for the shadows or some s**t, Delta Nine couldn't really recall, and this wide-open space was as good a place as any, really. Who knew what else was out there.
"Did anyone get a good look at the map? I wasn't able to sneak a peek at it."

Delta One sighed inwardly, scuffing a foot in the sand and staring down at the darker smear of color she uncovered by doing so. "No trees to block our vision, but none to hide behind either..." She winced "I feel like a sitting duck out here! Just waiting to be picked off" she suppressed yet another shudder that threatened to overtake her body, but still felt goosebumps raise along her arms beneath the fabric of her uniform. "I don't remember the map being particularly descriptive" She answered to Delta Nines question, eyes raising to scan the horizon across the ocean, straining her eyes, hoping to see the faintest silhouette of a ship in the distance maybe? "Look. Apparently we're on day two of being on this island now, and I don't know about you guys, but I haven't had a moments rest. I think I've been running on fear and adrenaline for the last 24 hours. Maybe we should find a good place to dig in and camp out? Set up a watch and get some rest?" She shrugged, sighing again, out loud this time. Somethings got to give at some point...right? She thought to herself idly.

"I didn't get a look at the map. I was still a little dazed and had a headache." A really bad one, he'd really wanted to knock himself unconscious again. Being unconscious would have been better than dealing with the headache he'd had.
"Yeah but remember if we can hide behind trees so can any enemy. They could easily hide and when we pass by jump us. I prefer the open. No where for an enemy to stage a sneak attack from." Unless they went and buried themselves in the sand, which would be rather stupid.
"Sleep would be nice. I've been awake as well. Weather from the headache or being scared. I've been awake. I'm starting to wear down a bit." Sleep would be a nice thing, especially with someone to watch his back while he rested. Another good reason for being in a group.

Delta Nine wasn't tired unless the gave it too much thought, and only then could she feel the weariness seeping into her bones. Sleep would bring dreams, and dreams were something that Delta Nine just didn't want to deal with at the moment.
"Someone should stay alert in case s**t goes down," she said softly, immediately nominating herself. "I'll post up if you guys need some rest. Who knows what's out there," she added.

"Great," She said, trying to push even an ounce of enthusiasm into her voice as she flopped down to the sandy ground, sitting with her knees raised and her arms resting on top. She hadn't actually realized how tired she really was, until the opportunity for a small rest actually arose. However, it seemed her cell phone had other plans, when it began to beep at her again. She growled in frustration, as she lifted it off of her belt to read the newest message. Text the word "Task"? She pondered this for a moment, her fingers running over the numbers/letters on the phone. Hey, if she could type that word and they could see it, maybe she could punch in something else? Instead of typing the word "Task" she typed in the words "******** you!" and inserted a smiley face, before hitting send. Of course she got no reply, but it made her smile a little to herself, anyways. She shifted a little, glancing up at the others in the group to see if they would take the challenge that the cell phone message posed. ------- She should really try and get some sleep...so why didn't she just lay down and do so? She knew why. Paranoia. She didn't know these people, not really, and if she drifted off...what was to stop them from killing her and stealing her supplies? She wouldn't be able to rest, not well anyways. Any little movement or sound would have her snapping to attention again. She let out a quiet yet frustrated noise, then glared up at the other three (not that they could see it) To trust them or not? They hadn't posed any threat so far...ok, she would do it, she would just lay down here, on her side, and close her eyes for a few minutes. Even a few moments of broken 'sleep' was better then running on an empty tank. She was just about to move, to lay down in the white sand, when her phone started beeping AGAIN. She almost though that the 'higher ups' were texting her back personally for the rude message she had sent them before, but the beeps coming from her companions phones proved otherwise. She grabbed at her phone, yet again, and read what it had to say. Some person, from a squad she had yet to encounter, had recieved not one, but two pendants? s**t...maybe she should've texted the word 'Task' when prompted. Oh well. Now everybody on the island knew what this guy or girl had, and chances were, he or she wouldn't be alive much longer. Alright, alright. She was the one who suggested rest, now she needed to follow through. Finally, she leaned down, moving her legs and body so that she was positioned on her side in the sand, head resting on one arm as she watched the others with suspicion. Just a few minutes rest...a few minutes..a few.. She dozed off. She wasn't in a deep sleep, and would probably awaken at the slightest sound. Her increasing paranoia insured that.

((Eta VII entering from Abandoned Town Traveling Thread.))
A small figure in a dark blue-accented uniform appeared over the nearest dune. She looked around, spotted the group resting on the sand, and headed over towards them. She didn't make any particular attempt to hide her approach, in fact, she pointedly had her hands out and open to show she wasn't carrying any weapons. As she came closer, she called out, "Hello there!" Something in the timbre of her voice indicated that she was forcing herself to call out, to meet them; a shy person pushing herself forward. She needed a group to join, and hey, here was a group! At the very least she was going to try meeting them, and maybe they'd accept her to join them.

((Since it's been over 12 hours from my last post, I'm going to go ahead and post again. Hope that's ok ^_^'))
It was definitely a restless sleep that Delta One got, but it was uninterrupted, for the most part. For that she was actually a tiny bit grateful...though it did worry her a bit that everybody was being so damn quiet. Had she slipped so far into unconsciousness at some point that everybody had left? Or had they all fallen asleep as well? Her eyes opened, and her breath quickened as her chest tightened anxiously. And then a sound...a talking sound. Somebody was approaching, and they weren't trying to hide it (like they could in this place! Barely a thing to hide in around here!). In a swift movement, she rolled to her back and pushed herself to her feet, taking a split second to register that her other team mates had not actually left her, but far more focused on the stranger in blue that was approaching. She scoured the area behind her with her eyes, looking for any other movement from any other people who might be with her...but she appeared to be coming alone. She was either very foolish, very desperate, or both. She fought the urge to shout out something silly like 'who goes there, friend or foe?' Since it was becoming quite obvious that friends were a precious commodity on this island. Best to assume everyone was a 'foe' until proven otherwise. Instead she called out, her tone weary "Don't come too close there, Bluey." And then, steeling herself, went to meet the blue clad person half way. Best to keep her away from the group, in case her intent was to take out as many of them as she could once she got close. She also wanted to make sure she didn't have a smaller weapon concealed on her person, ready to lash out and strike. Once she was a little closer, she looked the ...female she guessed...up and down. "What do you want?" She narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips behind her mask waiting for a response.

Eta VII stopped abruptly, a little startled by the hostile tone. Okay, actually, the hostility was probably a reasonable response, but everyone she'd interacted with so far had been at least neutral. (The smoke monsters totally didn't count.) She raised her hands up defensively, palms out, still clearly nothing in them, and now it would be hard for her to grab anything quickly, either.
"I was just exploring, and I saw the group of you over there... So I thought I'd ask what's around here." She shrugged. "I haven't found anyone yet who wants to do more than sit around talking about how unfair this whole thing is, and with the monsters around, it seemed better to explore with a group..." Between her posture and her diffident tone, it was obvious she was reconsidering approaching them. Maybe best to just back off, find someone less inclined to attack first and ask questions later. If there is any such person...

Delta Nine heard Delta One rouse before she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. She'd heard the newcomer drawing closer but didn't want to alert anyone to the presence of the group. Nine was vaguely thankful that One had woken up because she didn't want to confront a stranger by herself.
When Delta One rose to her feet so did Delta Nine, though Delta Nine had clutched her pack to her chest -- just in case: her gun was in there, after all -- and really just supported Delta One by standing near her as she spoke. There were safety in numbers, or so Delta Nine liked to think, and she didn't recognize the colors as being Theta or Delta.
"Do you have a map?" The question was posed at the newcomer.

She saw another figure approach, in the same colors as the one talking to her already. "No, I don't have a map..."
Wait a sec. If they want a map, I can use that as a bargaining tool... otherwise they might just kill me. The thought made her feel slightly sick, and she quickly backpedaled on her previous statement. "I mean yes! Well, sort of... One of the members of my squad took the map, but left a copy carved in the table. I memorized it before I left. If you want, I could..." draw it for you. Just before she finished the last sentence, she realized that she would be valuable only as long as she had something they needed. "I could tell you how to get places, if you tell me where you want to go." There, much better.

Delta Eight had been asleep also, sleep had over taken him for a long time. He'd apparently needed to sleep more then he'd originally thought. When he woke it was feeling refreshed, and to voices. One he didn't know, was that good or bad?
Cracking his eyes open slowly the Delta member turned his eyes on to the new person. "Wish someone had a map, we've only had glimpses." He stated, pointing to himself and Delta One. Yawning behind his mask, something which could be heard past the mask.
Looking to Delta One and Delta Nine, the male Delta tilted his head. "We could do with another member to our group, could help in a battle or if were jumped." Plus it meant more supplies and bandages for the group as a whole, hopefully.
