Dionysia
Damp bangs clung to her forehead as she swung Paragon by his chain. Servility was firmly in her other hand as she slowly circled her partner, waiting for him to advance. The air in the training room was stale and smelled of sweat, but even more so, it was quiet. Even the scrape of a shoe against the hard concrete resonated against the empty walls and rang in her ears. The brunette's right foot moved forward, she raised Servility to block his short, slim blade and kicked him back the direction he came, launching Paragon after him. The sickle struck the ground right above his shoulder, retracting at his mistresses command. The brunette's golden eyes had gone wide at the closeness of the weapon. He knew she wouldn't intentionally hurt him, but there were times when it seemed like she couldn't tell the difference between sparring and combat. The sickles retracted into their holsters as she crossed the large room to help her partner up. "You did well today." He commented as he dusted off his pants and used his shirt as a sweat rag. "I still didn't get it right. How will I improve if I can't get it right?" She shook her head in disappointment, running her fingers through the sweat-drenched black knots of her hair. "Don't worry, you've got plenty of time to perfect whatever it is that you're trying to do." He smiled, placing a supportive hand on her shoulder. She brushed it off, mumbling something about a shower and leaving the stuffy room for the airy coolness of the hallway. 'Too bad I can't condition the air around me all the time' she thought as she padded down the hall towards the women's locker room.

Sarion Famalis ~The Beginning: First Fight~
Intercoms blare, captains scurry, and subordinates such as myself wonder what this meeting of the captains is for. Moments pass as the captain of my squad returns with an urgent mission. " There has been a sin out break and 3 sin are on the lose. Our Squad has been picked for duty and we are very capable of doing so. So lets make it known that we are strong and not fail this! We will need groups of two to spit us six to go after one each. Sarion you will be with Leutenent Giles. I will be with. . ." "Um Captain Sergon this is my first battle with a sin. . .are you sure im able to do this?" "Of course you are, besides you have the largest katana of any sin slayer Ive ever seen in my 100 years of being captain that almost needs to hands to use, and thats why I have out you with my Leutenent. Now Sarion listen here. No sin slayer gets a katana that big and not have power to fight and have greatness. With a sword like yours, all that means is you have a lot to work for. You can do it and this fight will help you get there." "Ok. . .ill do it and win. Thanks Captain." Leutenent and I set off to find our sin rampaging about. We meet up with our sin after some time. It is HUGE! It sees us standing about in the city streets. "So they sent tiny little bugs to take me down did they! Well let me tell you something! Your power is nothing compared to mine you insignififcant FLIES!" "s**t its a conscoius sin!" "A what!?!?" I ask "A sin thats well aware of what it is doing but is so overwhelmed with power it wants to rampage! Its 5 times smarter than ones that are unconscious of its self. Also depending on its willpower its only a matter of time before it loses consciousness. Well I hope you fight like your training because this will be difficult!" "Damn it! s**t good way to start off my first day!" Giles goes for the attack and gets blocked by the sins arm, hes distracted now! I run in for the legs as Giles gets thrown into a car. I begin to swing my sword "RRRRRAAAAAHHHHH!" Sword makes contact and stops dead in its tracks!! No harm done!! "Huh!? But how!?!" "HAHAHAHA! Out of my way BUG!" I get kicked straight up till I am face to face with the giant smiling. On my way back down the sin thrusts his fist at my limp falling body. But I recover and block with my sword in the nick of time. As I slide backwards I see the sins arm get cut completely in half elbow up! Giles is now in second stage. Giles and the sin now are have a battle both striking, blocking, and taking damage. The sin grabs Giles sword and hits him with is cut arm in the gut so strong I felt the sock wave from it! "Hes still that strong with a cut off arm!!? No way!" The sin goes for another strike at Giles still trying to recover and trying to break his sword free from its grip. I have to do something but my attacks wont work! I run through the air after Giles anyway not knowing what to do. All of a sudden I feel this HUGE increase in my power! But why is that? Is it because I feel the need to not let Giles die and to protect him? I intstantly stop the attack with my sword, and strike off his other arm freeing Giles and helping him down. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! How dare you insect! you will pay! I will take both of your LIVES!!" "Dont be so sure. . ." "HA! playing mister tough guy now all because you took my arm from me! Your weak!!" "May I ask your name?" "My name why?!" "I want to know the name of the being I take the life from. Thats way. And its only curtious to know the name of your killer as well. Im Sarion Famalis!" I say as I look him dead in the face. "ERR, why youuuu!" He strikes at me and I dodge and I slash at him from his right shoulder down to the middle of his chest. Blood flies from him. His eyes go blank, his jaw drops, and he starts to fall. "My. . . my. . .name. . is. . .Gallow. . . . . ." He drops to the ground and fades away into particle dust. Giles and I then go meet up with the others.

Austin Graystone- "Rumors"
Virtue is always tempted by sin, its what makes us true virtues. Those who can fight temptation, and those who fight for life. Sin Slayers don't kill for glory, not for honor, or for the thrill. Its courage that drives us, and to Austin its everything. He stood in the daylight, lost in thought. Not that it was important thoughts, or even interesting ones. He merely contemplated the cars that passed by, and wondered with his hands deep in his pockets. What model is that? who's idea was it to give that truck a teal color? He often did this. His scythe was tightly strapped to his back, its handle had a fluent curve and the blade itself was incisive with a curve of its own. His overcoat was still new yet it showed signs of desperate battles. The worst part about being a Sin Slayer is that not a single person passing by him knew about his existence. They would never know of the danger that he, along with every Sin Slayer, are protecting them from. But Austin could never tell that to someone, not even his partner. Any sign of selfishness is carefully watched, least he became a sin. That was never going to happen, Austin just wondered what it would feel like to be respected by them. The normal ones.... Nathan found his way around a street corner and approached, Austin noticed him. If not by the scent of another Sin Slayer, then by the corner of his eye. Instead of garrulously waltzing up, Nathan stood right next to Austin and folded his arms. His twin short swords neatly tucked into his belt. After a while Austin's partner spoke. "Nice a** huh..." "What?" Austin's attention turned to Nathan "That girl" "Oh..." "Over there by the junk stand, bending over...awww not anymore" "Sin's of the flesh do not tempt me, and nor should they you." Austin chided. "I'm just horsin' around, you should know me by now. Besides we don't have time to look at pretty girls" "I wa-" "We have a job to do" Nathan brushed pitch black hair behind his ear. "I've been waiting for hours..." "Yeah...that would be...my fault" "Of course it is, if you were late on the captain-general he would have your guts on a pole." "Oh!, the captain-general can piss up a rope, I don't need to be scolded by another recruit" Austin raised his voice, "Enough, just inform me..." Nathan unfolded his arms and smirked, "We've got ourselves a sin" "I figured." Austin's temper was rising. "It looks like an easy assignment, its a sin of Lust" "I think you should stay out of it then..." Austin replied Nathan laughed, Austin didn't. "I'll be fine, as long as you've got my back" Nathan turned and jogged, then swiftly began to run. Dodging all the innocent people, Austin followed. Passed traffic, around corners they ran. Until Nathan stopped at the base of a hotel, as long and obscure as all the other buildings that left absolutely no room for ally ways, but unlike the buildings around it this one held the embodiment of sin. "Who's first?" Nathan asked "I'll go, this should be easy" Austin opened a stair way door that reached the very top of the hotel, he halted as he realized Nathan wasn't following. Instead of asking way, Austin just stared. "I'm gonna climb to the window" Nathan proclaimed "You cant be serious?!" Austin objected. "To late!" Nathan forced pressure to the bottom of his feet and jumped with enough energy to grab a hold of the first window, its a good thing none of the normal people could see that. "Wait! what floor?" Austin asked "Seventh floor!" Nathan called down. Austin would rather take the stairs anyways. Step after step Austin found his way to the seventh floor, it wasn't until then he didn't have any clue what room it was.... "Great..." he sighed Austin focused on Nathan's scent near the right. Those are the rooms towards the street, were Nathan had the brilliant idea to climb. After a couple seconds of silence Austin unstrapped his scythe, Temperance had such a beautiful shine to it and such a courageous posture. Austin heard a door open and watched as a lady with a bag of the weeks groceries in hand walk right passed him without even the faintest clue he was there. Austin thought back to his waiting down in the concrete jungle. Wouldn't it be great if I was noticed? he thought, Austin was a quiet fellow that hated conversation. But being noticed with a little wave or a smile wouldn't be so bad..."BANG! thump, Ahhhhhhhhh!" That scream almost defend Austin, he raced to the door were the noise came from and smashed the door down with his strong sturdy shoulders. Nathan had the concubine nailed against the wall with his twin blades by the wings, and Nathan himself was getting up from a bad beat down into a glass table. The sin was looking right at Austin intent on killing him. "Get the b***h!" Nathan roared as the sin broke free of the blades sending them flying. One at Austin to which he ducked in time, and the other at Nathan. Austin had no time to find out if it hit him, he only thought to bring his scythe up and down at the sin's head. It screamed and stepped out of the way. That high pitched scream made Austin see stars. He gathered his strength and bolted after the sin, just in time to see Nathan block the door with both his blades in hand. Seeing no other way the sin of Lust decided to spring out of the window Nathan had climbed through. Austin held his scythe high and braced himself for the sin to force him back. It dodged yet again and found its way around Austin to shatter the window glass and fly out. <******** that!" Austin cried as he jumped after it. Austin's scythe caught in its right wing which made it limp and screech once more. Austin fought hard to hold on, after the effect of the cream faded he gripped the back of its neck and held it with his arm as his other hand held his scythe. The sin had no choice but to fall. Austin felt the wind flow through his hair and his overcoat flap up. One final scream was all he heard before he hit the ground. If the couldn't see him or the sin, they sure could see the impact it left. A sizable crater for a small sin. Austin rose and found people stunned at the incident, but only the damage, not the hero. Austin was still recoiling from the fall as Nathan found him. "Holy s**t! Austin that was a nice save!" Nathan was jumping for joy, well someone had to. After Austin strapped Temperance back on, they made their way back to base, to report on a job well done. There were many bases, each with its own mission reporter or MR. After each sin killed a Sin Slayer would report it to an MR at their base. It was dark by the time they arrived at the base. Nathan turned to Austin as they made their way down a low lit hallway with broken pipes that would drip water onto the floor. "I could have taken her....its just I was taken by surprise." "Let me guess.' Austin started, "You thought that because she was a female that you could get the upper hand. A sin is a sin and nothing more. That was a sin of lust, it only took that form because it was your lust. if a woman had been there it would have been a man." Nathan lowered his head, "Right....that's it. Look I think we've been through a lot and I wanted to ask you..." "Yeah what." Austin was always straight to the point. "I know were not supposed to give into sin, but...." Austin stopped and stared cold into Nathan's eyes. "I-We should be proud of how far we've come...I think its time to ask for a promotion. All we've had has been kid s**t. Its time we step up and take on the harder missions!" "Keep your voice down, and I agree. But we are in no position to make that decision." "Yeah well I heard Dionysia was going to ask..." "Who?" "Your know Dionysia, the chick with the tongue ring. I heard she's one of the first to ask for her position at such a young age, I think we ought to do the same" "That's crazy, If the rumor is true. An I doubt it. Then it wont work." "Well maybe you can tell her yourself" Nathan nodded at an approaching figure. It was her alright. Light blue eyes, obsidian hair. And an attitude, at least she carried herself as so. No words were spoken as Dionysia met Austin's eyes. He could tell what to feel...but he knew he felt something, she's been here a lot longer then him. It might be envy....that was a bad thing to feel. Austin shook it off. "She seems....lively" Nathan commented. "Knock that off, your in base." Austin began walking. "You know she's not the only one I heard was doing that." "Where do you "hear" these rumors exactly?" Nathan smiled, "I can have other friends then you ya know" Austin shook his head at that answer. Nathan continued. "Anyways, I heard Sarion. The guy with the big blade and light green eyes. Yeah, he's gonna ask as well." "Sarion? No. Not him, he's to busy kissing a** and getting the good missions. I doubt he'll need to ask to be promoted already." "Ya know, you have too much doubt. Thats a sin you know..." "I know....its just a saying. But I'm tired and I care not for rumors. Lets report in and then rest." Nathan agreed. To Austin's surprise.

Sarion Famalis ~To The Rescue~
Getting close to our other squad members we decide not to meet up with the captain only because. . . well hes the captain well capable to handle his end. So we are going to check on the others. Getting close to our destination: "You did really well back there Sarion. So well you saved me and not only that but you practically took that Sin down yourself." "It was nothing. I still dont have complete control over my power. It comes and goes by itself. Besides, with out you there I would have lost. You weakend him by taking his arm off first." "Oh come on! Dont give me that s**t!! Yeah it may be true that you dont have complete control but you are powerful even without that control. Imagine what if you did control it? Your well capable on your own and yeah you may have not been able to do it all yourself but basicly you did." "Okay I guess your right." "Hey and even think of it this was. You might get promoted. Who knows maybe even to 3rd seat right under me. Seeing how you might possibly the 3rd strongest in our squad." "Heh wouldnt that be nice. We are here and it looks as if they didnt finish. Get ready Giles they need help!" "HAHA TO THE RESCUE! Hang in there!!" Me and Giles both jump into action swords at striking ready. The Sin stomps and sends the other two Sin Slayers barreling away. We get closer to the Sin in striking range but not befrore he notices us and roars a storm to send us back to cancel our attack. "EH! Hes strong but none as near as ours Sarion, this should be cake. Hes not concious wich means his full power is unlocked but without conciousness he is unable to use it porperly wich makes them less dangerous but each varies in power. So dont take them lightly! Lets go!" "Right." We charge at the Sin once more only for him to shoot devastating lasers, a Sins special ability. Giles uses his speed and teleports behind him. I manage to barly dodge that attack having only seeing it the first time unaware of its power untill a car is torched. From the corner of my eye I see another two coming at me! He must have shot before Giles got behind him because the Sin has a gash in his shoulder and now engaged in a fight with Giles. I dont have any time to dodge this one so I swing my huge two handed blade capable to use one hand in hopes to cut through the laser. It Succeeds! "Huh?" I realize "s**t! The other is to close to recover and block! Wish I knew Telespeed like Giles about now!" I whisper to myself BOOM! "Ahh" I groan. I get hit in the stomach and instantly in flames and go crashing into the ground! I recover quick because of my adrenaline of the fact IM ON FIRE! Then come to realize it doesnt hurt like I thought it might. I feel a little burning sensation and it is harming my body a little. . .but none like it should. "Whats this?" I ask myself As I say that I see my sword slowly absorbing the flames. I then get an idea. I start to pour out my Sin energy and begin absorbing the flames into my sword much faster! "Huh! I got IT!" I say "Giles! MOOOOOVE!!" He reacts at an instant and is gone fast. "RRRRAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" I scream as I swing my sword from a 12 O'clock postion towards the Sin. A flame bigger than mt sword then is realeased from it and goes rampaging to the stunned Sin. Unable to think of what to do it makes impact and makes a big explosion of flame. "GGRRRAAAHHHH!" it screams high pitched as it fades to particle dust and ends the battle. Giles appears next to me: "How did you do that!? You let off so much Sin energy its unbelievable for a begginner! That was some power! You definently are going to get 3rd seat I can feel it!" "Heh. . .Thanks Giles. . .wake me when we get to the captain please. . ." I say as I pass out from using a higher level of a attack Im not ready for. I awake to see the captain in front of me with a smile. "See I told you you would be just fine! Two Sins in one day awesome. Oh and Congrats one becoming our new 3rd seat!! The whole squad agreed that you should have it for saving your team and taking down two Sins! I'll notify General Captain of your success and he will send news to all Sin Slayers great job. Now go get rest." "Thanks Captain."

Dionysia-
Mathias caught up to Dionysia informing her of their newest assignment. Time to earn that promotion! She thought, pulling on her holsters and smiling at her partner. "What are we waiting for? Let's get going." She said almost gleefully. The brunette gave her a queer look, she wasn't usually so cheerful about assignments. "You seem awfully confident. What's the rush?" Mathias asked, placing a hand on her forearm. "I just want to do my best-" "To show off your skills and convince the higher-ups to promote you." He finished with a cocked brow. "And what's the problem in that?" She retracted her arm, heading toward the door. "Be careful," He spun her around by the shoulder. "If you focus too much on your destination, you might not see what's in front of you." His eyes betrayed the thoughts he'd neglected to voice, some of which made Dionysia angry, others made her want to blush. She turned away before one emotion overran the others as she reassured her partner that she'd be careful. They stood in silence for a short time before Mathias spoke. "Let's get going then, wouldn't want to miss our target." She quickly agreed.
The sin wasn't hard to find considering the trail of destruction it left in it's wake. The smooth leather felt good against her palms as she gripped her weapons. Identical sickles reflecting each other perfectly. The hilt of Paragon slipped from her fingers as she approached the monstrosity of twisted flesh and malformed muscles. The blade swung in a slow, lazy circle as she rushed closer, using the air around her feet as a muffler to her footsteps. Mathias took the left side while Dionysia crept to the right. Once her comrade was in position, she struck it's back with Paragon. The sin raged and launched Dionysia into the air above it. Paragon returned to her hand, beginning to morph alongside it's twin. The sickles gained a sharp angle and a few new points along their edges. She began to fall. Aiming herself straight at the sins head, she brought her blades down. Right through it. She landed on the ground just in time to see it disintegrate. The sickles returned to their original form as she holstered them. "You couldn't save any for me?" Mathias chuckled, jogging up to her. The black haired woman laughed, embracing her confused comrade. "I finally got it right!" she held Mathias at an arms distance and smiled until her lips couldn't possibly stretch anymore.

Ambrose Lenox- Prophecy
Hands folded on a smooth surface and brows encumbered by a sleepless night, Ambrose contemplated his next words carefully. What was to be spoken here at this very hour was to determine the outcome of the future. It was the first time a meeting of this size has ever been conducted in a very long time. Every Captain from every squad in the territory was here. Including the Captain-General himself. The Captain-General was built like an ox, even though his age was far beyond the years of a recruit, the hair on his brow as well as his beard and hair was white and abundant. A war axe the size of a full grown man hung on his back. Discussion died down, and Ambrose caught the Captain- General's eyes. They were blue eyes of wisdom, and skill. Ambrose took this time to speak. He cleared his throat "My fellow Sin Slayers." Ambrose began, "It has come to my attention that a dire situation is arising. With Captain- General Desmond's permission I have been allowed to share with you..." Ambrose looked about at the captains. "This information..." Ambrose continued, " A prophecy is coming true" "A Prophecy?" One captain stated, "We were called here for a prophecy?". Another captain stepped in, "Prophecies occur all the time, everyday in fact. Has our beloved Head master lost his wits?" The Captain-General scolded the captain with a glare, all questions stopped. Ambrose took this opportunity to continue. "I've been up countless hours rethinking this, and even the Captain-General agrees with me. This prophecy was once told by the first Virtue. It tells of an age where corruption was imminent". Captain Sergon interrupted, " Head Master, you cant mean...., you mean to say that the Zither has strummed the cord, the cord that produces a harmony of discord?" The meeting was all ears. "Yes" Ambrose responded, he almost sounded apologetic. He was. The meeting became a pandemonium, a clamor of heated discussions. Only The Captain-General, Ambrose, and Captain Sergon fell silent. Ambrose wondered if they were ready for this. Ambrose would often read books of prophecy, it was a personal hobby of his, but never in his life could he have imagined that the Zither of Discord would play its tune. Eventually the noise died down and Captain Mandon, one of the younger captains and a skilled warrior with brown hair and matching brown eyes stood up. "If what I know is true, Head master, then you have seen visions. If I may be so bold, you knew about this long before now." Ambrose straightened his posture, "Yes, I have known, but it was too little to go on. I needed more time to fully understand the visions." "Well?" Captain Sergon asked. "What have your visions told you?" "That the Prophecy has indeed begun, and that also. I know of the virtues to stop it." That set off another argument. A captain jumped up and proclaimed, "If you know them, should you not be training them?" Another captain rose, "He's right, we should prepare them for their destiny!" Captain Mandon rose as well, "Captain-General, if you have known this, then why have you not spoken so?" As Desmond opened his mouth to speak the room fell silent, as it would countless times more. "I trust in the will of our Head master, all your questions will be answered if you would silence your mouths and listen" The Captain-General's word was law. Ambrose began again. "I know these virtues, and I have trained one in secrecy. But the other three, they do not know. And I would like it to stay that way. What ever comes out of this meeting is to never leave it. Understand?" Ambrose took a deep breath, " The virtues of prophecy are...Sarion, Dionysia, And Austin. They must never know, for it is they who will grow into the figure that is destined for them." Captain Sergon spoke, "I have risen Sarion to 3rd seat, If you would wish it I could keep him well protected back in his recruit position" "No. Do not coddle them, let them rise and fall how they see fit. Treat them like every other Sin Slayer." "And what of this fourth Sin Slayer that you did not mention?" Asked Mandon. "That is between The Captain-General and, now I will have everyone's word that this is to stay in this chamber" The Captains each nodded in agreement. "I will hold another meeting when I know more, Captain-General." Now they are known and hopefully they do not notice something is amiss. "This meeting is over" Desmond stated. And it was.

Austin GrayStone-
Sweat dripped off Austin's face and stung his eyes, he wished to wipe it off, but that would have to wait. Nathan made a daring attempt to slash at the sin's throat, it failed and Nathan was dropped to the ground. This was a sin of Rage, its power was beyond any normal sin and its body was built like an armored tank . Austin took the chance to strike, Temperance cut a deep gash within the sin's shoulder. The sin roared in pain and anger. Nathan came to his senses. He jumped upon the sin's head and stabbed both of his short swords into its neck. "Now, Austin!" Temperance glowed and the energy from within Austin seemed to drain into the sword. The fatigue almost unbearable, but he could let his guard down. Temperance morphed before his eyes, a double headed scythe. It split the rage sin's body in two. and it was at that moment Austin felt a most deserved pride for his accomplishment. He would get 3rd seat for sure.
(I dont feel right when I type. I'm too jumpy right now. I might make mistakes, so for now this is all I can dish out) sorry!

Ambrose Lenox-
He was pacing back and forth in his privet solar, books stacked on the tables and in the shelves. Ambrose once taught these Sin Slayers, like all the other he felt a father love towards them. Dionysia, such a strong and willful girl. She always strives to be the best even when it seemed impossible. Sarion, a quiet boy and yet so powerful. Sarion had a distant look about him, like he always knew something that nobody else knew, an inside joke perhaps? And Austin, that boy was as stubborn as a mule and yet when it mattered most he rose to the occasion. Then there was Nathan....Ambrose could only feel remorse for the boy, he lives with such a burden. Ambrose remembered when they were all mere students. He never thought they would come together like this... They were here. All four came in, one by one. The look on their faces was that of wonder, worry, and in Austin's case annoyance. They nodded their heads in respect and Ambrose couldn't help but smile. The world asks to much of them he thought. "Master Ambrose!" Nathan exclaimed, "Your looking rather well!" Ambrose chuckled, "Don't kiss a** Nathan, we both know I'm old" "A little complement couldn't hurt" He replied. "No...it couldn't...but here not why your all here" They kept their ears open and mouths closed, like so many that yearned for the Head Master's wisdom. That or they wanted this over quickly. "The Captain-General has asked that you all be stripped of your ranks." "What!" Dionysia proclaimed, "Whats this about Ambrose?" Austin threw his hands up in protest, "Your joking! after all I've done!?" Sarion placed his hand over his brow and messaged his temples, other then that he only whispered under his breath. Nathan's eyes were falling out of his head in awe. "Now, now." Ambrose continued, "That's not all, you see. I agree with this offer. You four have been chosen for a rare position, one that has not been given to anyone since the first virtue." Ambrose paused to catch his breath, "There is a secret rank, that even the Captains are unaware of, and its a position that is rarely given to 3rd seats. I think you will fine it rather an honor. You see, the Captain-General is only one man. As strong and wise as he is, he cannot do everything. He needs a hand if you will." "Please Ambrose, were not children." Austin commented. "Right" Ambrose smiled, "Your not. The position I offer you is that of Virtues hand, four Sin Slayers who are only under the command of the Captain-General and myself. I will be the thumb if you will" Ambrose smiled, "Together we will make virtues hand and we will serve the will of the Captain-General himself" It seemed they all felt uneasy, Sarion spoke out. "Why would we be offered this position? it sounds more appropriate for a higher rank...there must be something your not telling us" Ambrose began to pace again, "You are not to be fooled then. I was only told to offer this position, you can take a day to think it over. Otherwise this is all you are allowed to know. Until you take the offer of course" The room was heating up, either from the body heat or from anticipation. Dionysia especially looked intrigued. "One day, and you cant mention this to anyone. Come to me when you have an answer. And let me warn you, if one of you declines, you all do."

Sarion Famalis~My Past+A Decision To Make~
“So, I got demoted to get promoted to some kind of special forces type thing huh?” I mumble to myself. Guess it couldn’t hurt to try it. But I can’t help but think why he chose us? We are still new to this. Why not more experienced stronger sin slayers? Unless that what he said isn’t completely true? That he didn’t tell us everything! The real reason why! He’s hiding something I can sense it! I was always able to sense a lie or some info that is left out to keep a secret. Not only that, but I could see, smell, hear, taste, and feel better than others. Ever since I was a child. Nobody ever believed me on stuff like that. Until one day they said my eyes have changed to a cat like pupil, but not the exact same. More happened after that, kids continued to explain my face going through changes like my teeth grew bigger and sharper, my ears shaped to a point stuff like that. One of the kids said I looked like a dragon or something but I never saw it, I never believed them. From that day forward I was known as a freak and people stayed away from me. The ones that knew anyway. As I got older I saw what the kids did, but things weren’t the same, I got headaches, my nails would grow long and sharp, all five senses tripled, muscles grew bigger, and I felt light as a feather like no gravity was holding me. I would grab a hold of something and break it. The effects would go away and as the older I got to the less frequent it would be, but the more effective it was. Its been two years since then and I have begun its effects again. But only headaches have occurred and my senses doubled from regular. My senses are always stronger than anybodies but they have doubled since the effects. I’ve been lying in bed this whole time, thinking of my past and wondering if Austin, Dionysia, and Nathan have figured that something is being kept from us. Something. . . . . . .Important. . . . . .So I go looking for one of them.

Dionysia-
She paced in her room, hand opening and closing on Paragon's hilt as she tried to think. Should she choose this new position? Should she even bother? If any one of the other members of this 'hand' should decline the office, they all did. She'd have to get the answers from the others before making a decision. Suddenly her room felt a bit too small and stale for her tastes, but the hallway would feel alright. A walk in the halls would be even better because she would never have to breathe the same air twice. Yes, a walk would be marvelous, exercise always helps her think. Perhaps she would even bump into Austin or Sarion or Nathan. And maybe she could steer the conversation towards this new position that is being offered and ask them their opinion. Though only if she happened on one of them. She would NOT be looking for them!
As it happened, Sarion was also walking around in the halls searching for an answer to this puzzle and Dionysia nearly collided with him. "Oh! Sorry, I should've been watching where I was going." He nearly shouted, holding her by the shoulders. "It's alright. I get it, I'm short and harder to see by the tall folk." She smiled, holding out an introductory hand. "I'm Dionysia, and you are...?" "Sarion, Sarion Famalis. Nice to meet you." He shook her hand eagerly and grinned back twice as big. "Likewise. So what's your opinion on this 'hand' thing?" "I don't know what to think about it and I can't decide what to do unless I hear what everyone else is doing." He replied, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah, I know what you mean there." She explained while eyeing the various dripping pipes. "Do you know where the other two are? Maybe they've made up their minds." "Your guess is as good as mine on that one. Sorry." She sighed heavily "Bummer, alright, I suppose I'll ask around. Someone has to know right?" Sarion nods and wished her luck over his shoulder as he proceeded down the hall.
Eventually, Dionysia was pointed in the right direction. She hesitated with her hand hovering in front of the door. The others reactions hadn't been the most encouraging when she told them that she was looking for Austin, but she had to know what his decision was. She forced her fist against the door a couple of times, impatiently waiting for an answer. Before long the door opened and a gruff "Yeah?" made it's way into the hallway. She assumed a confident stance to hide her growing anxiety, cocking her hips to one side and putting the right hand in it's respective pocket. "Are you Austin?" She asked, almost surprised at how calm it sounded. "Yeah, what do you need from me?" His emerald eyes burned holes through her false confidence as he leaned against the door frame. She forced herself to stare right back into them no matter how unnerving they were. "I was just wondering if you've reached a decision." She stared back, she wouldn't be intimidated by him. "Why?" He raised an eyebrow, almost punctuating his question. "I want to know if I should even waist my energy by saying yes. You heard Ambrose, if one of us declines then we all decline." She shrugged, playing up her case and confidence. He scowled at the ground, running a hand through his blonde hair. She breathed an internal sigh of relief as he did. "I'm still thinking about it. I'll have an answer by tomorrow." He pushed away from the door, acting like he was going to close it. He paused though, as if struck by a sudden thought. "How did you find my room?" This caught her off guard for a moment. She recovered before he could see her uncertainty. "Lucky guess, I suppose." She smirked as she continued walking back to her room

"Sing for me, sing for time. For soon my dear, your heart is mine. Sing the melody of sweet rhymes. For soon my dear, we'll die tonight.
What was once virtue is sin, and all the love dies within. Come to me my dear child, for soon the night will grow wild. In all our anguish we are blind, from the truth that now shines. For soon my dear, your heart is mine, as we both will live in time
But as all our hearts combine, we can not seem to reline, the pain we sought to eliminate, this sweet rhymes death to great" -Tomb of the Zither of Discord, 9:13
Ambrose memorized this part of the song through utter love of the verse, but also for the soul purpose it holds. Ambrose held the Tomb at arms length and muttered the rhyme to himself, contemplating every word. The Captain-General stood at one of Ambrose's book shelves, enjoying a little title search while most likely lost in thought. " Its a lovely collection you have Head master" Desmond stated Ambrose glanced at him awkwardly, "I do hope you plan to sit down, old friend" "My legs are not as youthful as they once were, but have no fear. I rather like standing" "I wonder, Desmond. Are your eyes still youthful?" Ambrose teased "Why ask?" "Well, I just thought I'd ask, seeing as how you've not noticed what your doing" "Explain...." Desmond turned to face him, and like an bull, was ready to charge at any hint of red. "Ordering that a hand be place, not to mention one of novices" The Captain-General made no attempt to answer, he only smiled and turned back to the book shelf. "Come now" Desmond finally stated, "Tell me the importance of that verse" Ambrose nodded and reread it, he then began his explanation. "The first line, "Sing for me, sing for time. For soon my dear, your heart is mine", tells of love after a long duration of concealment. Basically prophecy has been sleeping, and now that it has awakened so shall love" "So love starts it all" Desmond said with a sigh. "It was the first Virtue, Desmond. Anyways. The second, Sing the melody of sweet rhymes. For soon my dear, we'll die tonight, tells of the Zither playing its first tune to prophecy and the beginnings of doubt. The next, What was once virtue is sin, and all the love dies within, tells of betrayal. A virtue turning to sin and severing all ties to love, but I have no idea why" Desmond began to watch Ambrose look over the words. He continued, " Come to me my dear child, for soon the night will grow wild, tells of chaos at the virtues betrayal. A war perhaps, but of what? next, In all our anguish we are blind, from the truth that now shines, must mean that in chaos we lose ourselves and what can save us is lost to our eyes" "So what can save us?" Desmond knew the answer, Ambrose could see it in his eyes and the very way he asked the question. "I think you know Captain-General" A moment of silence, then. "Please continue Ambrose" "For soon my dear, your heart is mine, as we both will live in time, I'm sure tells us that love eventually finds a way and lives forever. But the last verse is what confuses me. But as all our hearts combine, we can not seem to reline, the pain we sought to eliminate, this sweet rhymes death to great. It says that once love is found again, we all....perish. But why?" "Why indeed" Desmond stated, "If all we fight for is lost to prophecy..then why fight?" They both fell silent for the sake of quiet. Soon, however there was a knock on the door. "Come in" Ambrose answered In came the four that prophecy trapped in a cage and embellished it with grass and trees, then called it a forest. Ambrose laughed at the idea. "We've reached an agreement" Dionysia began "Have you know?" Desmond said with mock curiosity "C-Captain-General!" Sarion said startled, "I didn't see you there" He lowered his head, as did Nathan. "Relax" The Captain-General placed a hand on Sarion's shoulder, "I'm just visiting, and should take my leave" with that we was gone. "And what is it to be?" Ambrose knew the answer, who would pass an opportunity like this one? " We all agree" said Nathan picking at his teeth. Austin shot him a stern look. "You all agree with this then?" Ambrose sat at his desk and placed hands over the Tomb of the Zither. Everyone nodded. "Well then.....Let me tell you our next move" Ambrose opened the Tomb and scrolled up and down the pages. "Have any of you ever heard of of the void of Oceanus?" the question sent their minds frantically searching. Sarion spoke first, "Its the endless realm, Purgatory" Ambrose jumped up, "Precisely! and that is where we will need to go" "Wait what!?" Austin was shocked then cooled his nerve. "You know better then all of us what lies there" "I do." Ambrose agreed "Then why send "us" there" Dionysia placed a hand on one hip and shifted her weight, her brows heavy with bewilderment. Ambrose sat back down, "It is here that the right of the hand must be preformed, otherwise its just a title. And don't fret, I shall accompany you and guide you. As is the duty of the thumb" Ambrose chuckled at the thought. "When do we leave for this place?" Sarion asked. "When I call you, for now you must relax and perhaps read up a bit on this void. You shall be free of sin slaying for the duration of the time. and Austin..." Austin looked on, unemotional to the very end. "Do get some sleep, you look awful"

Sarion Famalis~What To Do Now~
Well agreement has been made and no sin slaying to do! Great!! My weird urg of physcopathic fighting needs to be satisfied!! Damn IT all!! Why am I like this! Ive always felt the need to fight. It thrills me!! I love the pain, and the pain on others! No one knows me! No one knows Im different! And no one cares to know me! They wouldnt like me after that anyway. What to do now? I have the urge to fight, for pain, for blood! Its satisfiying. But why? Why me? What makes this urge? What makes my unknown power transform me a little? Flare Dragon has been a little off and flowing with power. Wait!. . .could it be. . . .Flare Dragon is the cause of my urges and my undefined transformation!? Is he trying to take over my power to unleash his true power and fullfill his urges!?? If so I need to get to my second stage, and take advantage when I feel his presence trying to takover! I'll stay in control and use his overflowing powers to use in fights! Why does he have so much power?!? Once I get control I'll learn to call on his full power on my own freewill. Heh. . .I think I found my cause of problems. HA! Turns out this is cool! But, the question is, what to do now? How do I get to second stage to satisfy his overflowing power so it has room to grow and be used? Huh. . .I guess in due time.

Austin Stone-
Nathan had urged him to come. He said it was vital that, Austin stretched his legs and came down to the river. Not that it was much of a river. twelve feet of concrete blocks rose the park from a body of rotting water. About 600 acres are tidal, and fluctuate between being walkable and underwater, due to rapid tide changes in the salt marshes and the receding shoreline of Orchard Beach. The park includes land on both sides of the Hutchinson River, as well as Hunters Island, Twin Island, and Two-Trees Island, all formerly true islands in Pelham Bay and now connected to the mainland by fill. Pelham Bay Park is a calm and tranquil place, not a very popular park with its half environmentalist look and half industrial settings, and it was a fine early morning as Austin strolled to a bench at the edge of the park facing the river. Austin notice that the bench wasn't quite desolate. Sarion Famalis. He sat straight up and stared out at the sun's reflection, his sword rested at his heels. Austin stood there and made no attempt to approach him. Austin's mind wandered, should he walk away? why was he here? wheres Nathan? his feet led his body the other direction. "Don't leave" Austin stood motionless. "You heard me?" he asked without so much as a glance at one another Sarion answered. "That, and I could smell you coming" "Is that your idea of civil conversation?" "You mistake me.....I didn't mean it that way...." Austin turned back, facing the back of Sarion's head. "Right....." Austin took two...three steps towards the bench and caught Sarion's eyes at last. They seemed trouble, deeply concerned was the more appropriate term. Austin saw this in Sarion, the same thing he saw in himself at his refection. It was a sin to doubt....to desire.... "Look, I'm just here because my partner told me to come" Austin proclaimed, "If you've seen, please point me in his direction" "Our partner" Sarion stated, Austin didn't care mush for Sarion, but now. He loathed him. "Fine, whatever. Point is I don't have time to chat with you" "Strange, I was going to say the same thing" "Okay d**k-face, lets get one thing straight" Austin's temper rose Sarion disconnected his gaze from the river to Austin. He continued. "We may be partners now, but I don't sit on my a** and let others smart mouth me into submission. So get off your pedestal, and join the rest of us your grace" "I could wipe your a** all over this park and throw your mangled body into the river" "Try it" Silence. A lone pigeon flew by, to break the quiet. "I'm sorry" Sarion finally said, "I'm...just on edge lately" "Yeah, you and half the sin slayers" it was Austin's turn to watch the river, Temperance felt heavy. "If it helps" Sarion began, "I was told to be here too, by Nathan" "I figured" Silence. Austin made no attempt to speak, he left it at that and Sarion took the hint, but that didn't deter him from talking. "I think Nathan is playing a sly game. My guess is that we'll see Dionysia here shortly" A helicopter hovered in the distance. And pedestrians walked carelessly by, totally oblivious to their existence. Pride is a sin you know. It wasn't long before Sarion's prediction came true. Dionysia came from Austin's left. She was walking slower then usual, and without her charming poise. "Ambrose said no sin slaying" Sarion started. "I want, honest, I was just training. He didn't say anything about that" She took one look at Austin and the Sarion, "Nathan called you here too I take it?" "Yeah" Austin answered, feeling the need to announce his being. "He thinks to gather us in one place and talk. I know him." "Well.....I've got nothing better to do. And I don't think either of you do" Dionysia sat, dangling her feet over the water and taking her turn to watch the river. Austin felt a familiar presence. Nathan. "funny seeing all of you here!' "Nathan" Austin began, "Whats the point in this?" "Oh relax! I'm gathering the hand. Isn't that wicked? We four are part of a legendary order!" "Sure" Sarion began, "One meant for Captains, and us not being captains" "Skip the formalities!" Nathan twirled his twin swords. "Besides I had a much better Idea then just talking" Nathan smirked, "We duel!" Silence.Then. "I don't um....feel like fighting right now" Sarion stated. "Are you kidding I just got done sparing!" Dionysia lay on her back and revealed an impeccable set of breasts. "I'd rather have a worthy training partner..." Austin stared down Sarion, and the same from his side. It was a nice time to make a nemesis. Nathan rolled his eyes and sighed, still playing with his swords. "This is a great way to sart off a bond, eh?", "Look lets have a bit of sparing and then you can all go home. How does that sound? Just a little" Sarion got to his feet, "I uh...have a major headache" "Nonsense!" Nathan shot back, "Pick up your sword, its you and me first" Sarion eyed Austin and made an attempt to scowl. "Alright....I'll fight" Dionysia got to her feet as well, "I guess I could go again, but let me go last. I need to catch my breath" "And you Austin?" Nathan gave him the best impression of puppy dog eyes. "Your a down right weirdo Nathan" The puppy eyes continued. "Fine...." Austin decided to give in. If he could at least wipe the self importance out of Sarion's ugly head.
Austin and Dionysia sat back and watched Nathan and Sarion begin. "Weapon ready! face opponent! duel!" Nathan dashed to meet Sarion. A slash and a bit to late, Sarion blocked. Nathan brought his other sword in for a blow, and Sarion ducked. He brought up his single mighty blade and pierced forward. Nathan was already backing off, Sarion missed. Nathan stepped back further. "Nice block" Nathan began, "But how d oyou do with elemental control?" Nathan tapped his short swords at the tip and from the friction, electricity sounded off. Nathan flung a blast at Sarion. In an attempt to block he shielded himself with his sword. The energy from Nathan's attack was forcing Sarion back. But non of the electricity had touched him. The force ended and Sarion switched to attack mode. Mistake. Nathan anticipated that, he was already upon him with a kick to the midsection. Sarion grunted and recoiled with a bit of his own power. Fire whirled and covered his arm, then his sword. It shot like a ray of light, straight in the face of Nathan. Another form of light gleamed from Nathans eyes. And Just as Austin thought Nathan was done. He reflected the beam with his own. Sarion made to choice to deliver a nasty upper cut with his left hand. It came close to full damage, but only skimmed Nathans chin. Causing him to fall back and stumble. Austin could see a beat of sweat drip from Sarion's forehead. Why was he so fatigued? the fight hadn't lasted very long. Unless, Sarion wasn't fatigued.....
Austin looked over at Dionysia, her skin.....he couldn't fight this feeling. She caught him looking at her. "Lust is a sin you know" She added "Uh, I don't know what your talking about" Austin felt heat rising to his white cheeks. " Awww, your blushing" "I only saw a bug in your hair, I was tempted to get it out for you" Dionysia went stiff, "A bug huh....." Austin smiled.
"Nice!" Nathan's blades were embellished with electricity, and Sarion's with fire. Nathan stabbed the ground and spread the energy through the ground. It came up at Sarion. He jumped and thrusted his flame covered weapon down at the lightening energy. The energy split in two and Sarion scattered it with a breath of heat and ash. "Well Done!" Nathan was panting now.
Dionysia kicked Austin in the leg. "I do not smell like a horses a**!" "Say's you, I can smell you leagues away. And I'm sure Sarion comes close to passing out" "You ******** p***k!" Austin rubbed his leg. "I'm going to enjoy beating your pompous a**!" "The feeling is mutual darling" "Darling?" Dionysia was turning red with furry. "Wrath is a sin you know" Austin remarked.
Sarion became relentless, his blows more furious. Nathan was keeping up. But confused. "Alright, Sarion. Now try another elemental attack" Sarion twitched and slammed the hilt of his great sword on Nathan's hand. Nathan Dropped to the ground and let out a cry of anguish. Another hit to Nathans gut sent him flying and skidding on the walk way.
"Now I know why nobody likes you. Your a selfish man. Can't you just admit you were looking at my chest?" "And give you the satisfaction? I think not. Besides if I was, which I wasn't!, I would not have hid it" Dionysia threw up her arms, "I don't need this from you!" Austin crossed his, "You think I want to-" He was cut short. A cry of pain. true pain. came from the training match.
Sarion was over Nathan, his body twitching and morphing, fire pouring out like blood. "Sarion!" Nathan clutched his broken hand, "Back down NOW!" A blade came crashing down at Nathan. It was blocked by a Scythe, Austin held firm. Dionysia had Sarion's neck in between her weapons. The flames seemed to burn her, but she held. Strong, for a woman. "Sarion!" Dionysia yelled, "Whats wrong with you!" with a burst of fire and rage she flew back. And Austin had to act, what to do? he slammed his fist at Sarion's twitching face. Sarion stumbled back clutching his jaw. Austin noticed the rage in his heart. Rage is sin you know. Sarion let out a roar unlike that of any human or virtue, but like a sin. Sarion leaped at Austin and came down with a force so powerful. Austin's legs were shaking, but he stood firm. Nathan was up on his feet and backing away. "What did you do Nathan!?" Austin screamed. "I don't know!" Nathan's eyes glowed, "Get out of the way Austin!" Nathan ordered. Sarion's sword was crushing him like a rock over a twig, was this the extent of my powers? Austin thought. he was helpless. No just caught off guard...right? "I cant!!" Austin proclaimed, as Sarions sword threatened to break Temperance. "Now!" Nathan's eyes shined and energy came from his being like non Austin hade ever seen. It was now or be caught in the cross fire. Austin thought his arms would snap at any moment. In a rush of adrenaline. Austin thrusted up and dodged to the right. Sarion would be hit directly for sure. Sarion flew. Dionysia came from behind him with a gust of wind as her shield. Nathan couldn't see it, and neither could she. But Austin saw. The beams of electrical energy hit Dionysia dead on. "NO!" Austin flung to his feet and went to her aid. Sarion grew wings made of pure fire. "Hey! Dionysia!" Austin smelt seared flesh and ash, "Get up!" he thought for sure she was dead, for sure she was in the void. A fit of coughing and she was breathing again. still out cold. "Look out!" Nathan cried. Sarion was coming right for him. Austin stood firm, and through all the trickles of sweat he felt run down his face. He knew one was not. Love becomes desire, desire becomes lust, and lust becomes envy, then you are too far gone. Sarion clashed with Austin. Fire swirled around him, Sarion was forcing Austin over the edge. And into the river. "AAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGHHH!" he couldn't stay firm, he was flung like a damn rag doll into the water. It felt easy to just keep floating to the bottom, like all his troubles were clutching to the bubbles that escaped his mouth. Was this the void? no, it wasn't. Dionysia. She needs him, Nathan needs him....Sarion needs him. Austin the weak, Austin the pathetic.
Nathan watched as Austin sunk into the river, and Dionysia as she slipped in and out of consciousness. What could he do? Sarion came to him now, was this his chance? no, it wasn't "Sarion what are you?" Suddenly the river came to life, a wave of vengeance caught Sarion by surprise and extinguished his flames. Sarion fought and struggled, this was his chance. Nathan used the last of his energy to fire on last beam out of his right eye, Sarion roared and struggled more as he was electrocuted. The river had a master. Austin came out of the wave and plunged at Sarion with his scythe. Nathan could see Dionysia limping and raising a hand, a wave of wind smashed Sarion down to the ground as he felt the full force of Austin's power.
Sarion lay at Austin's feet, still breathing. what was that? Austin felt like collapsing and sleeping right beside Sarion. So tempting to just sleep. Sloth is a sin you know. "You alright?" Nathan asked Austin nodded and then realized, Dionysia. he rushed to her. "Dionysia" He didn't know what else to say. She smiled and clutched her rib, "Do I still smell like a horses a**?" "No" Austin felt the threat of a smile, he didn't like it. Nathan knelt by Sarion. “He’ll be fine, we all will. But I’m sure we should get home, and have Ambrose patch us up” “And explain what the hell just happened” Dionysia stated. “Indeed” replied Austin.

Sarion Famalis~Explanation~
I wake up in my bed, head a bit fuzzy, and not feeling any pain or sorness from the fight. In fact hardly injured. My overflowing power must have healed me. A knock at the door, Austin makes his entrance and leans up against the the edge of the open door. With that, "keep it cool" arrogant look in his eyes as always. That look makes me despise him. I can give one back, but much more arrogant with my changed eyes. Too bad I dont want that to happen to keep in control of my own self. "Aaaaaand you wantttt?. . ." I ask rudely
"You mind telling me what the hell happaned back there!?" Austin said in a pissed off mood, giving me a mad stare.
"HA! Why should I? You wouldnt understand! Nobody does! And if you did, Id be hated by you even more! Yeah I said it! You didnt think I knew you hated me did you?! I could sense your emotions before the fight and now!"
"Heh is that so? Well your wrong! I dont hate you. Consider it a. . . hmm how should I say this. . .like a rival. Yeah thats it. . .a rival is what you are to me. Your not hated by me, just a rival. Now before this gets off track. . . I need you to explain to me. . .what are you?"
"Heh yeah. . . . " I was cut off.
"Look here! In order to keep this hand thing or whatever, together we need communication. We need to talk and for you to explain so we better understand each others strength and weaknesses. Isnt that right, Nathan, Dionysia."
Both came were discovered and showed themselfs from the window. Even I didnt sense them nearby. Probably because My head is aching real bad.
"Yeah, Austin's right. We need to know, you really put us through hell back there. Nathan puts in caught in ease dropping.
"Emhmm, So get chatting." Dionysia said
I told them my whole story of my past up to now. I even expalined I still dont know the cause but I do have an idea of what it might be.
"So I have come to the conclusion that my other soul, also known as my most trusted partner and some of the source of my power, Flare Dragon has two sides of him. Like twins. One gives my body the power and transformation, and one that is my sword that also gives me my power. But the other is just as strong, and is a bit evil and trys to control my body to unleash his full potential. Now I think that if I get to my second sword stage the problem will be solved untill he gains more power that is too much for my second stage to hold. But another thing. If this is all true and why this happens, then maybe, just maybe I can gain the power to control myself and call on the evil twins power for my own using when I want it. It will take time but we need to act fast. I either need second stage now, or control it, or both. Because the truth is. . . .I'm. . .I'm. . .afraid of losing myself and doing that kind of damage again.
With that said I await the answers of the other three members.
