((POSTED WITH GM PERMISSION)) The fog swirled eerily as the figure reappeared in another flicker, still screaming despite it's target being gone. After a few more seconds during which the yell echoed round the fog it finally cut off, the figure seemingly realizing it was by itself. Growling it started to pace round and round in circles tugging at it's mask in a sign of agitation. " Stupid, stupid, stupid! They are failures! They should be dead! THEY SHOULD ALL DIE! Why aren't you killing them! STUPID! STUPID! Be more careful, you careful you can harm them. SO STUPID!" Letting out another scream it kicked at the pebbles around it, showering them across the path. Huffing it tried to calm itself down for a second. " At least we got one." Oh hey look cal- " ONE ISNT ENOUGH! ALL OF THEM MUST DIE! ALL OF THEM!"

Clop, clop clop,
Through the fog, something was headed towards the vengeful spirit of the fallen squad member, something large, horse-shaped in appearance.
 "Shhhhhhhh...."
And as the fog suddenly parted, instead, there stood a strange creature, humanoid in appearance - a girl perhaps? - her age was hard to place. "Shhhhh," she repeated, putting one finger to her lips, dramatically, "You're going to give yourself away." She walked, sidestepped, closer to Delta Eleven until she was all but whispering in the enraged spirit's ear. "Wake up."
As this stranger said those words, her one hand grabbed a good hold of the vengeance spirit, pushing them down. "You will wake up in three, two, one..."
And then Delta Eleven remembered everything.

As the first Clop reach it's ears it stilled, knowing someone something was going on.
Shhhhh
It, she, didn't want to be quiet it wanted to rage.
Shhhh, your going to give yourself away.
What? Give away what? Her position? She wanted people to know where she was so she could fight th-
Wake up.
A sharp intake of breath as those two words penetrated the haze around her, bonelessly she allowed herself to be pushed down, the thought of struggling not even entering her mind.
You will wake up in three, two, one....
And suddenly everything burst to life behind her eyes. That moment she'd been waiting for when the click had happened, the moment when your life was supposed to flash before your eyes.
It happened now.
It came in flashes and snatches and yet all at once and if she hadn't been on the round already she would have fallen down now, the pain of a splitting headache caused by a lifetime of memories trying to clamor forward and get her attention now pulling a pained groan from her.
She wasn't Delta Eleven, she was Joslin Parker and she wasn't just scrambling around trying not to fail some mysterious test, she had a purpose here.
A life filled with jumping at shadows that weren't shadows, a life filled with a soul deep terror of knowing the monster under the bed wasn't as fictional as her parents tried to tell her. Nearly dying. So close but saved, saved by them, saved by the Hunters. Indebted forever. An offer to pay it back. Fight! Fight for freedom from this terror! Fight so others who can't see don't fall victim! Fight so there's not another little girl living in constant paranoia! Fight!
They hadn't been lying when they said they where here by choice, or at least they hadn't been for her.
But, they hadn't told them everything she was realizing as she came back to herself and her body. Or at least what used to be her body.
Trembling slightly she stared at claws coming from once normal hands.
"W-What happened?" her voice was filled with an unusual uncertainty when compared to the courage and freedom being just Delta Eleven had brought her.
How memories changed you.

"What happened." The girl - if she could still be called that - repeated the former Joslin's words. "Hmm...." It turned one eye towards the shadowed figure, gazing at them critically. "Well, I think you are dead."
That was a no-brainer, as Joslin now remembered her time spent as Delta Eleven as well.
"Well," the stranged winged figure scratched her head, "I don't know after that, but tadaaa! Here you are! I have a new friend now! Wait until I tell Pesty-" They paused for a second, eyebrows furrowing in a look of intense concentration, "- Aww boo. Everyone is hiding. Okay, how about this? You follow me, and I'll bring you to safety."
For a complete 'stranger', this strange creature sure was being a little too friendly.

"Oh. Really. Hadn't guessed that." Joslin deadpanned finally tearing her eyes away from the sight of her hands.
"I meant this," here she waved her clawed hands, "I was perfectly normal when I first die-"
WHAT THE HECK!?!
It seemed Joslin had finally registered her companions appearance. It should have been terrifying, it was exactly as her mind said the shadows appeared. But it wasn't. Some instinct in her said this was normal now.
A horrible idea hit her.
"This is permanent isn't it?" her voice was no more than a sad whisper, she'd come here to fight the shadows not....
No. Don't think it. Move forward.
Friend? Ok, yeah she could do that. It wasn't like anyone else on the island would trust her now, not with her appearance and especially not if what she'd done in her enraged state got out. Home wasn't even an option.
Besides safety sounded nice about now.
"Sure I'll follow you, lead on." That said she pulled herself up off the ground, ready to leave this place.

"Safety, yes safety." The creature pulled out a strange object, a pendant, glowing pure blue. "You are going home."
Everything felt like a dream, even the memories that Joslin had worked so hard to digest, to acquire, the news, even the strange figure in front of them seemed like a distant memory, a grainy commercial played on a black and white TV, mute, obscure. It was hard to remember what the commercial even was about, something about... being lost?
It didn't matter as the rest of the commercial simply faded to black.
