Okay, so considering how inconsistent and demeaning (towards talent and wrestling fans) the WWE can be, and, well, let's just say TNA ain't up to snuff...I figure it'd be a good idea to start an appreciation thread (as it's hard to really have an update thread) on one of the best indy promotions out there...CHIKARA.

The main reason I really love this company is that they have two of the biggest tournaments in American indy wrestling: The Young Lions' Cup and the King of Trios (which this year's will be this weekend). They also incorporate a lot of the other indies (CZW, DragonGate, etc.) as well as putting on some amazing matches...but don't just take my word for it. Check out their weekly CHIKARA Podcast A-Go-Go, updated every Monday. They've started putting up full matches, and this week's is Lightning Mike Quackenbush and Jigsaw (the current Campeones de Parejas) taking on current TNA talent Generation Me from last year's King of Trios- Night 3.

Also, check out NewBreed93's channel for some awesome videos. You can also just browse youtube looking at their comedy bits...which are hilarious. For example, :

Chikara is an amazing organization! I learned about it through the Osirian Portal. Haven't looked back.

Forgot to update this on Monday...CHIKARA's Podcast A-Go-Go this week was Claudio Castagnoli vs. Shadow Pheonix.

Also, spoiler, but the Colony beat F.I.S.T to win King of Trios.

This week's Podcast A-Go-Go features a bout between Pinkie "Pink Ant" Sanchez and the Colony's resilient rookie, Green Ant (also has Eddie Kingston on commentary).

Also, for an amazing past Podcast, episode 256 is a four-way elimination match between Kota Ibushi, Jigsaw, El Generico, and Nick Jackson (Jeremy Buck).

I have a question for you, hows Kizarny been in Chikara? I just found out yesterday that he was there.

I'm not too sure to be honest. I can't find a place to watch the full shows, so all I get is the bits and pieces from NewBreeds MVs. I know he's in a trio with the Batiri, and they do have some sort of storyline with him...other than that though, I'm not sure.

Yeah, it makes me mad that I can't watch the best wrestling I can, In fact getting these DVDs is the ONLY reason I'm looking for a job.

If you're still in or just out of high school, that won't be too much of a problem. I have a college degree though, so no jobs out there for me...

Just ou actually, I'm looking to go to college for writing to do video game journalism, so I'm sure I'll have problems finding work once I do.
