The Visual Novel Challenge
Visual novels are not easy to create. You have to write a full story, and if you're not creating a kinetic novel, you need to write multiple branches and endings, so you may as well be writing six novels at once with all the same characters and settings. You also have to worry about artwork, both sprite and background, coding the game so you don't put a stray parenthesis where it doesn't belong and BREAK YOUR ENTIRE GAME, as well as providing a stylish interface, memorable but not overpowering music, and realistic and well-timed sound effects. Let's face it, it would be easier to lead a mule to water AND make it drink than it can be creating a Visual Novel sometimes. That's where I'm here to help. The following is a guild-wiki of resources you can use to create your visual novel. This should help take some of the pressure off when you have to worry less about hunting for music for your game, and sound effects. Writing, coding, and artwork should be enough of a hassle.
