Ken was raised in a small village along the outskirts of the village hidden in the waterfall. His father was a ninja, quite an exceptional one as far as the village went, while his mother merely stayed at home with him. At a very young age Ken began to learn how to use a bow and arrow, it was the one skill his father excelled at above all others. Being a Takeda this skill in bowmanship was among the most lethal in the ninja lans and so Ken and his dad trained for some years together using a bow and arrow; it was considered a right of passage to go out and construct ones own bow from the materials surrounding the village. The trees from which their bows were constructed are said to be of the finest quality for making such a lethal and yet artistic weapon. When Ken was 15 he went out with his father and found the tree of his desire from which he began to whittle his own bow.

After nearly three months of work Ken completed his bow and became in the eyes of his village a full fledged ninja. However his happiness did not last long, upon returning from a hunt for food he discovered that his father had been killed in action. Now being the only man in the house he had to provide himself and his now morose mother. After another year she soon passed away and Ken moved to the Village Hidden in the Waterfall where he hoped to master his kekkei genkai and skills as a bowman in order to become a full fledged ninja and make his now deceased father proud.

Personality: Catori is an extremely easy going and relaxed man. He is generally always in a good mood. Catori is always generally one that does not show an excessive amount of emotions, he commonly shows some signs of warmth and happiness but does not show abnormally large amounts of said emotions. He is also an extremely brilliant persona and as such is very analytical in nature.

Catori was born to the nara clan and grew up as most in the clan did, very quickly. At a young age he showed a strong level of maturity and self control that instantly made him worthy of being the leader of his squad. Catori and his squad trained for only a few months before entering the chuunin exams and through their own skill and Catori's leadership the easily passed becoming chuunin. At the age of 12 his squad had accomplished this and it took him only 4 more years to achieve the rank of Anbu. At this stage in his life Catori had assumed the position of a solitary Anbu member going on missions on his displaying his unbelievably impressive abilities of analysis and control.

For only 2 more years Catori held this rank until he soon achieved that of sannin and personal guard of the Hokage. Catori held this position at the age of 18, being one of the youngest sannin in all of the history of Konohagakure he was a shoe-in for the replacement of the hokage. And after 3 years and the sudden passing of the Hokage he was given the title of Shadow of the Leaf. Assuming this position he has had it for only a few months and has thus far held it with dignity and control already showing a strong likelihood to be just as good as the Kage that had been his antecedent.
