Kestrel SamaelThey say that power corrupts... Things had been a little tense back at the apartment, and it was apparent rather quickly that they would have to move somewhere else. There wasn't enough room for all of them to live there. The first thing they needed to do was get them some normal looking clothes. He didn't know exactly who he could trust anymore. Kestrel went out early the morning that they warped back, and went shopping. Azura and Amore sent Rena with him not wanting to disclose their sizes to him. Which was reasonable, but Rena was still pretty mad at him. As they got into his car there there was an awkward silence. "Rena you know I did what I had to do." he said as he started up the car. They would go to the mall and do all their shopping quickly. He had enough money from his gigs to cover the cost of all the clothes even if they got a little pricey. His muscle car was still the same as she remembered it, but the guts were different. The car was a lot smoother now. But the smooth ride didn't make it any more enjoyable.
They arrived at the mall and immediately started shopping. "Let's split up so we can get this done quickly. Ill grab Aithorn and Raze's clothes while you get the girls things." he advised. Splitting up Kestrel got his shopping done rather quickly. A shirt some jeans and maybe some jackets. That was all that guys really needed. Ofcourse undergarments, but that was easy. He got to the cash register, and waited for Rena while the cashier rang him up. "Woah are you Kestrel of Kings of Oblivion?!" exclaimed the man. Kestrel looked around hoping no one heard him. "No you must be mistaken." answered Kestrel. "No way man its you. Your secret is safe with me." laughed the man. Just then Rena walked up and plopped her things on the counter. "And this must be Rena. My girlfriend loves that song you dedicated to her!" The man was starting to get on Kestrels nerves. Any other time he'd soak up the fan attention, but so much happened he didn't find it enjoyable. "Please I have a deadline to meet. If I give you an autograph will you quiet down?" asked kestrel grabbing a pen off the counter. Signing the mans shirt he was rewarded with silence. The man pretended to zip his lip as he finished ringing them up.
He didn't speak until he had to take the money. "That will be $276.50" said the man. Kestrel took out a black card, and handed it to the man. "Must be nice to have one of those" joked the man. The black card was one of the perks of being in the business. "They always want us looking our best in public. Now if you'll excuse us." said Kestrel taking the bags. Hurrying back the car Kestrel through the bags in. They climbed into the car, and Rena's eyes immediately went to the window. "We need to talk about this at some point Rena..." he said waiting to start the car. ...Then absolute power must corrupt completely!

People say that beauty and brains don't mix,Rena awoke to the worst feeling in her life. At first when her eyes opened she thought she had died considering she was back in her home world. Rubbing her eyes, she wondered if this was a dream since there was no way she could have been dead. She would have been reincarnated with Kestrel into a new form and would not have her memories from being in Alexandria and the most current events... Sitting up, she looked around the room till her eyes settled upon Kestrel. Just the sight of him made her eyes fill up with tears. In the depths of her mind she knew he did all he could, but her heart still broke seconds before being warped here. Now she knew she was alive, awake, and in her own living nightmare. Hand over her heart, she turned away from him and wiped her eyes before standing. She needed to change into anything that would be better than her current outfit.
Finding acceptable clothes, she listened to the girl's sizes before getting into the car with Kestrel. Crossing her arms, she looked out the window and didn't reply to him. Instead she took deep and steadying breaths to help calm the turmoil and grief running through her. It took the entire trip to the mall for her to let the building tears subside and for her to feel as though she wouldn't look like a mess while in the mall. Turning away from him when he mentioned splitting up, she quickly gathered a few dresses, shorts, jeans, short sleeved shirts, long sleeved shirts, and light jackets for the girls. It seemed like a lot, but the girl had an eye to catch the best sales for the best clothes. At the cash register, she dropped her things and tried her best to smile when the cashier recognized her as Kestrel's girlfriend. The last thing she wanted to do was ruin things for Kestrel, even if she was hurt. "Tell her I love that song too." she said with a fake smile, though the cashier wouldn't know otherwise.
Grabbing a few bags before Kestrel could, Rena stalked off to the car and tossed them in. Inside, she turned to the window but his words caught her attention. Sighing, she turned back to him with tears already building in her eyes. "You don't get it Kestrel. I know you did what you could but I felt their deaths. So many lives like stars in the sky... I felt their fear and despair before those stars went out. I couldn't do anything to save them, the children with dreams in their eyes, mothers with love in their hearts, and fathers who only wanted to protect their loved ones. Now I'm stuck here with what's left of Alexandria. It's like a part of me was left there Kestrel, I can't stand it!" she said as she hit the dash with her fists and tears finally began to spill from her eyes. Wiping her eyes with her hands, she turned back to the window so as not to see Kestrel's reaction to her words. but I'm the girl that proves them all wrong.

Kestrel SamaelThey say that power corrupts... Rena was probably the only one that could hurt his pride the way that she had. He already felt bad enough not being able to save everybody, but telling him he didn't understand hurt him more. He understood how she felt. Over a little span of a few years the had grown to love Alexandria. Aithorn was liek a father to him, and Amore that mother that always told you if you were doing something something wrong. "Stuck here with me too..." he thought. "You know that Aithorn and the others feel the same way that you do. Now more than ever they need their light. They need you Rena to be strong for them." he said as he started up the car. He couldn't tell if she was listening since she never took her eyes off the window. He arrived at the apartment. Rena took a few things up and Kestrel gathered the rest. Warping them up into the apartment he saw the sad state that everyone was in. It hit him again. That feeling of hopelessness. Setting down the things he told everyone to get changed. They weren't going to stay in the apartment anymore.
"We are going to leave in the morning alright everyone?" he asked. He got a couple of grumbles, but Aithorn spoke up loudly. "I'm surprised that you are the one taking up control. But you know this place well and seem to have some sort of plan. Lead the way." said Aithorn. Kestrel thought for a second if he was worth of leading them. Still it was a compliment and he needed to answer. "Thank you Aithorn" he said. "We have a few places we can use to train. Me and Rena will need to figure out our weapons. You guys need to familiarize yourselves with the city." said Kestrel. Kestrel looked at a clock on the wall. It was about nine o'clock. "You guys get some rest. I'll stand guard. Seems natural that the night watch be mine. Girls you can have my room" said Kestrel walking outside. Warping to the roof he stared as the city skyscrapers cast their shadows on the city. The wind began to glow fiercely. Pulling out his guitar he tried to play a song, but nothing came out until he really focused. It was getting easier though and that was something he saw as progress.
Amore got off the couch and stretched. "Rena come with me. We need to talk." she said as she headed into the room and waited for her and Azura. "Something wrong with you and Kestrel?" she asked. "You know what happened wasn't his fault right?" She had a motherly tone to her voice. She knew all to well how easy it can be to hurt someone with words. She blamed kestrel for a while too, but he was the only reason they were all still alive.
...Then absolute power must corrupt completely!

Darkness haunts me wherever I go...Wiping her eyes and biting her lip, Rena did all she could to focus on everything but the thoughts in her mind. Here, in this new yet old place, she could feel the lives of the people around her but they weren't as pure or bright as those on Alexandria. Some were tainted with malice and hate, making them like the stars turning into black dwarfs. Others were just dying stars, losing their bright shine. Only on occasion did she sense a bright star like those in Alexandria. It was odd for her, yet made her think that life goes on, even if it seems like horrible things are happening in one's life. Kestrel was right, even if she wouldn't admit to it just yet. She needed to be there for those who were left from Crescence's attack and prepare them for the battle of their lifetimes. The question was, was she even ready for such a battle? She knew the answer was no if it was for physically strong enough, but mentally was she ready?
Taking the rest of the bags once they arrived to the apartment, she followed him into the building and took the clothes to the girls. They would find the clothing odd, but they all needed to make adjustments to their new lives. Eyebrow arching at Amore's statement, she nodded and followed Amore into the bedroom with the bag of clothes. She was about to comment on what she had bought for them, but Amore's words silenced her voice. "I know that..." she whispered as she dropped the bags on the bed and sat down for a moment. Amore continued to speak to her as a mother would for their child. Her words, however, washed over Rena and flowed away from her, leaving Rena cold and miserable. It was as though her blood was exchanged with ice and she no longer knew how to breathe. She loved Kestrel and had done him a great wrong, a wrong she needed to fix and fix right then and there.
Standing up abruptly, Rena left Amore in the middle of a sentence as she slipped out the window and began to climb up the fire escape. It took her only a minute with her speed to reach the roof where she felt the wind more fiercely than before and saw Kestrel with his guitar. Hand over her heart, she took hesitant steps towards him until she stood but a foot behind him. "Kestrel?" she asked softly as she tried to figure out what she wanted to say. Taking a deep breath, she waited for him to turn around before she spoke. "I'm sorry Kestrel, I know you did what you could. I was just too... I was being stupid and self-absorbed in my sorrow. It wasn't my intention to hurt you and I'm sorry about my words earlier. Can you forgive me?" she asked as she stood there, arms wrapped around herself as though to protect herself from the wind. It was obvious she was uncomfortable, but she was willing to stand there for as long as it took to make sure he'd be happy again. at least until I open my eyes to the light reality around me.

Kestrel SamaelThey say that power corrupts... Amore looked on as Rena climbed out to the fire escape. She was glad that she was going to take the initiative to go check up on Kestrel, but she wished that she would have at least listened to what she had to say. Meanwhile Kestrel sang softly to himself the song that he had dedicated to Rena. It was the only thing that kept his mind focused when he was away from her for so long. As Rena stepped on the roof he could feel every step as if the shadows were an extension of himself. Which it might have well been. He felt better at night of course. He could feel that even now in this darkness the whole city was alive. Jazz clubs and bustling city streets always full of life. He listened to all those sounds, but once Rena spoke he willed them quite to listen to the girl he cared about most in the world.
As she called his name he played only a few more notes before turning around to her. "I know Rena. Even the stupid part" he said chuckling. As she closed her eyes to fight the wind wishing to dry her eyes he warped in front of her placing his coat on her shoulders and bringing her close. "I'll forgive you...If you can forgive me for not being strong enough. I should have been better than that." he said resting his head on top of hers. "We will see the end of this Rena." he fought his tears but one slipped by. He didn't bother with it since it meant taking his hands away from Rena. "Now get some rest Rena. We have a lot we need to get started on in the morning." he said. He gave her a kiss on the forehead and smiled. Warping her back into the room so she wouldn't have to touch the cold metal of the fire escape. He would get his jacket from her later. For now he would let his mind wonder back into his songs.
"Come on Condemnation!" said Signa now in his new form. Six blades adorning his celestial uniform. "Just one chance to show you I have grown stronger. It can't kill you to give me just one sparring match!" he exclaimed. Signa had become very confident of his new skills. But he wasn't sure just how much he stacked up to Crescence's favorite that had always been Condemnation. She was by far the strongest of the Fates. Death walked up next to him feeling the ache that they got when they were do far away from each other. Her jovial suit that often contradicted the situation working its magic. "No chance..." she said. Signa turned to her. "Aww come on aren't you supposed to be on my side?" said Signa to her. Crescence appeared in front of the group as they walked the starlit hallways of the celestial palace. "Signa and Serah. You are going to continue your work. Condemnation is far to busy to play with you. And I need to speak to her in private." she said. Even Signa knew not to disobey orders. Him and Serah swiftly turned attending to what they were supposed to be doing. While Crescence and Azazel went to talk in Crescence's chamber.

Judgement we shall place upon those who stand in our path.
A faint smile upon her lips, Rena opened her eyes in surprise as she felt warmth around her shoulders. She was going to protest that he needed his own jacket since she knew he would still stay outside after she returned indoors, but he pulled her close to him. Relaxing against his body, she just let them embrace as she listened to his words. "No Kestrel, you were as strong as you could have been and I do not blame you. We shall just grow and fight Crescence with the memory of Alexandria in our hearts." she said as she pulled her head up and looked at him. Taking his face between her hands, she kissed his tears away. Nodding to him, she let him warp her back inside where she moved towards the bed. Not taking off his jacket, she curled up in bed and tried to sleep a dreamless sleep. Picturing Kestrel singing to her the first time they met, it was easier to fall asleep with a hint of a smile tugging at the edges of her lips.
Blinking slowly as though to show what little annoyance was finally bothering her, Condemnation - or Azazel - simply stared at Signa. He was trying to show himself off, especially in his new uniform and she didn't want to do anything more than laugh at him. In fact, she did laugh at his stupidity. Why Crescence wanted him for one of her warrior duos was beyond her. Looking at his other half, Redemption - or Isandro - gave her a look as though to say play nice with the others. Rolling her eyes, she moved to stand in front of Signa and looking up at his face. "Signa, in no way shape or form will you ever do well in a fight against me so you will always be considered weak. So take your sorry a** and move it away from my person. Sound like a plan? No, don't answer because it is the plan." she said as she tapped his cheek with her hand as hard as a slap though it looked nothing of the sort.
Sighing, Isandro only shook his head in response to Azazel's words to Signa. However listening to Death, he couldn't help but laugh alongside Azazel. Laughter ended abruptly as Crescence made her appearance. She gave orders to Signa and Serah, told Azazel to follow her to speak, leaving Isandro alone with his thoughts. If he had the human spectrum of emotion, he would have felt a pang of jealousy, but he didn't. He knew Azazel was the best fighter and thus Crescence had every right to favor her. Moving away, he followed Signa and Serah to make sure they didn't need any help while Azazel entered Crescence's chamber. Closing the door behind her, Azazel held herself straight and tall with proud eyes as she moved to kneel before Crescence. Standing and straightening herself again, she spoke. "What do you need of me today my leader?" she asked as she stood still, waiting for whatever it was Crescence was in need to speak about.
What your verdict is... well you'll just have to wait and see.

All will submit to the will of the cosmos... Inside the room the walls seem to vanish showing the stars around them for miles. A florescent clock beneath them eternally ticking. She had so much on her mind all the time she barely remembered what she wanted to tell Azazel. She turned to look at Crescence. She recently made herself seem even younger than before. She would never admit it, but being called old by Rena angered her more than anyone would know. But she wasn't always like that. She was so paranoid now and always made sure that everything was perfect. If she lost even the slightest bit of control in any situation she was likely to snap. Looking around the room before back at Azazel she walked over to her warrior. "To tell you the truth I forget...." she said snapping her fingers. The two twins in charge of memory faded in. They didn't say a word, but reading their minds she in fact read her own. "Yes that's right" she said. "I want you to go down to earth in a few days, and access Kestrel's current strength. Don't kill him though. I think he might be salvageable. If Rena gets herself involved however you may kill her." she said smiling. "Ya you can kill her..." She smiled like a child, and looked into a corner.
She looked crazy which she pretty much was. Compared to Pandorous Crescence made her look normal. She recently blew up half of a realm just to go after one girl. So it was correct to call her on insanity. But she never spoke angrily at Azazel. She was her favorite creation. All rage with non of the doubt in her mind. She always did what she was told, and never took failure as an option. Isandro on the other hand always questioned why. Hee always wanted to know the reason. That usually led to an argument and her warping Redemption out of her sight. "And I know he may be annoying, but it took a lot of work to whittle him down to one person. So if you have the urge to just kill him. Please don't. I'm talking about Signa by the way. Well of course you knew that...Until that time keep an eye on Isandro. I really don't have a ot of patience at the moment." she said.
Signa and the other walked down the hallways. Signa as usual trying to blow off steam. "Where does she get off treating me like that?" he said to either of the ladies with him. "Rank..." said Serah as she continued to dance along. She danced everywhere they went in that suit. At times it was nice, and other times very annoying. This was one of the times when it was annoying. Signa kicked at Serah who easily dodge it, and laughed like a child. "I really hate you sometimes you know that?" asked Signa. "Hate!" laughed Serah. Looking back at Isandro he sighed. "Do you see what I put up with?"

I can see into your heart and soul.Inside Crescence's chamber, Azazel wanted to laugh as the walls vanished into shining stars and the clock ticked forever beneath them. Isandro always was unnerved at the never-endingness of the room. His heart was not strong enough for anything. She, however, could handle anything. Even if she lost her other half, she wouldn't care. It'd only make her want to be stronger. She didn't understand why they had to have halves to keep the balance. Look at Crescence their leader, she was a single and the most powerful of them all. Sitting in the chair Crescence created, she waited till her leader spoke after reading the minds of the twins. "My leader, would you not want to kill Rena yourself? Though the thought of permission to kill her is a great honor you bestow upon me."
Laughing, she nodded at Crescence at the order to not kill Signa. It'd be a difficult task to follow, but she would follow it nonetheless. It was her duty after all to be Crescence's right hand. If she could not follow, then no one could. "Will do my leader. Now if you'll excuse me, I shall go check up on the others." Standing, she gave a slight bow to her leader before turning to walk out. She wondered why Crescence would want to watch Isandro, but she figured out the answer easy enough. Isandro was the curious mind who questioned all orders and barely followed them through. Normally she would have to push him and remind him to follow his orders, but or course even then it was a difficult task to keep him focused. One of these days she might turn her power against him, just to see if he'd gain a better backbone.
"You have to put up with it because you're the bottom of this food chain Signa." Azazel said as she walked in to watch them. Leaning against a nearby wall, she smirked and motioned for Isandro to stand by her. The last thing she needed was for Signa to rub off on her other half. Then she'd really have to smite him and only him. Signa was untouchable. Sighing, she began to lightly punch Isandro's shoulder to get out some energy. If only she could go check on Kestrel now instead of waiting for a few days. Within it, I shall release your inner being so you can see how disgusting it truly is.

All will submit to the will of the cosmos... She thought for a moment about how Vesperus and Celeste had died. Crushing her chances of reseting them again. Did he truly have it all figured out? Or was this just fortune smiling down on them? "I wish I could, but my power over them died with Vesperus and Celeste. I know you will do what I need which is why I trust you with this." answered Crescence. She walked back to Azazel. "Once Kestrel is back on his throne it will no longer matter." said Crescence. "But in order to recycle the new souls into my range we need to keep Signa alive." Now that everything was understood she allowed Azazel to excuse herself. Crescence began preparing their trip since she needed to scale how much power she could put on the realm before it cracked. She loathed incomplete realms, but as long as the balance between good and evil was not being maintained she had little choice, but to wait.
She wondered why they were born again in that world and not on the same one in which they died. She had no control of it, and they had to be some cause. The only one that had the power was gone. The being that was the only one able to control her. Her lover whose name would never be said again. By anyone. She found herself frozen in thought and snapped out of it quickly. She couldn't understand what she felt for him. Did she miss him or did she hate him? Even her in all her ultimate power couldn't decide that answer. But the fact was he was never coming back. Continuing her work she began to play the sequences in her head trying to find they best way to do what needed to be done.
"Azazel here again to ruin my day?" said Signa. Isandro looked at them for a moment laughing until beckoned by Azazel. He knew better than to upset her. She was likely to snap. Walking to stand at her side Signa sneered. "Pathetic. You always crawl back to her with your tail between your legs. I don't see why you are so scared of her the two of you are about even" said Signa. "Warning..." said Serah. "Ya whatever!" said Signa. "Let's go we had work to do. Whatever gets her out of my face" Signa and Serah got back to work as Redemption followed his other half out of the room. It didn't take long for Azazel to explain the situation, and what they had to do. "But what has Rena done that Kestrel has not? I think it's unfair that she is the only one that we had orders to kill" he argued.
Kestrel had stayed up the whole night soaking up the darkness for the day ahead of him. It was a long night thinking about what they were going to do. They had to get stronger. it was the only way that they were going to be able to stand up to Crescence when she chose to make her appearance. He saw that sun was beginning to rise, and soaking up the last of the shadows he warped inside to the living room. Aithorn was already awake staring at the sun through the window. "Morning Aithorn" said Kestrel as he walked to the kitchen. Seeing that all the food he had had gone bad he scowled. "Looks like we are eating out" he said shutting the fridge.
"You get dressed while I wake the girls. We leave as soon as everyone is ready." said Kestrel as he warped into the room. Aithorn was going to say something, but was to late. First a shriek than a quake as Kestrel flew across the room. Amore was already up, and changing. Kestrel's reward for forgetting was a one way ticket to dream land. He was out cold.

Humanity cannot stand reality,Tossing and turning, the night was not pleasant for Rena. Every time sleep began to pull her mind to a realm of dreams, darkness took root and she heard the screams of those crushed in Alexandria. She saw everyone die over and over again. Sitting up in the night, she looked over at Amore and Azura. They slept soundly, probably because of exhaustion, and terrors did not plague their minds as they did hers. Running her hands through her hair, she curled into a ball and tried to imagine floating on the sun. The warmth, the light, something peaceful for her mind to contemplate. It worked at first and her dreams were nothing but of the sun, but soon she saw a chamber of stars with clocks ticking all around her. Everything seemed to go on and on until a shriek pierced her mind and the room faded away.
Bolting up, she looked around to see Amore and Azura throwing anything and everything at Kestrel. The women were shouting at him to get out and he only defended himself. "Kestrel get out!" she yelled with a laugh as she made sure she was covered by the blanket. All of the girls merely had lace camisoles and shorts to match on to sleep in. Even though fully clothed, it was a lot of skin to see and they did not like having to be seen except for Amore who was already changing. Because of that and before Kestrel could flash out, Amore charged at him and out of the room Kestrel flew. Slamming the door in a huff, Amore finished changing quickly before joining the boys in the living room, death glaring Kestrel in the process.
Door closed, Azura and Rena both quickly changed and exited the room. Moving to Kestrel, Rena looked over him to make sure he wasn't hurt. "What were you thinking going into a room with sleeping female warriors? she asked as she cradled his unconscious head. Kissing his forehead, she gave him a jolt of light which should wake him up. His body wouldn't absorb it and thus should give him enough of a shock to wake him. The mornings antics made her forget about the horrid dreams of that night, though the scenes would soon return if she didn't keep her mind busy. "Aithorn, what's for breakfast?" Amore asked as she tried to calm herself though she looked smug anytime she looked towards the unconscious Kestrel but what happens when reality fails to be real and leaves you in the void of your dreams?

Kestrel SamaelThey say that power corrupts...
Kestrel hadn't felt a pain that bad in quite a while. Amore was as agile and strong as he remembered. And he had to save most of his strength to last through the day until he could recharge at night. Awakening in the lap of Rena he felt a kiss on his forehead, and smiled. Getting up slowly he held his back tenderly. "I remember Kestrel saying we are eating out. Whatever that means" answered Aithorn. Kestel nodded. "Ya we are going to this restaurant not far from here. You remember it Rena? Jerry's that place with the amazing pancakes" he said. Grabbing his hat he put it on and grabbed his keys. He warped in a surprise last night without the others noticing. His tour bus. It had plenty of room for all of them to sit and ride comfortably.
Opening the door he let the girls out first, and the guys followed. Amore was still giving him a deadly stare. Closing and locking the door he opened up the bus so everyone could get on. Once all were settled he started driving over the the restaurant. It wasn't very far away. Maybe fifteen minutes or so, but they didn't have dragons anymore. And they can't just go around warping without wasting energy or gathering unwanted attention. And Kestrel was sure that they enjoy having a little time to rest. Arriving at the restaurant they all got out and piled in before being seated in two different booths. They all ordered what they wanted and Kestrel picked up the tab. Sitting next to Rena Kestrel thought deeply looking at his food. Aithorn slapped him on the back and smiled at him. He knew what he was trying to say without any words needing to be said. But that didn't make him feel any better.
"We will start training today after breakfast Rena. I need to practice resisting light with limited darkness around me." he said. This was strange for Kestrel to be all business. Usually he was a clown. But he was nothing but determined now. He wanted to get stronger...He needed to. When he fought in Alexandria he felt so drained he could barely focus. He hated being toyed with as if he were nothing, But currently that's exactly what he was. Compared to Crescence and Signa he was just a minor annoyance. They all finished breakfast and were full as full could be. It was a good feeling, but if you had a bad feeling about something it always felt horrible.
...Then absolute power must corrupt completely!

Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things...Rena helped Kestrel up, careful to make sure he wasn't wobbly from such a knockout. However at the mention of the restaurant she merely gave him a funny look. It had been a very long time since she had been to Earth and barely remembered what her family looked like let alone the name of a restaurant with amazing pancakes. Smiling at him as though she remembered, she was about to take his hand before he warped away. "Gotta move faster next time Rena." Azura said with a chuckle as she patted the girl on the back. Rena gave the Valkyrie a light punch on the arm as Aithorn and Amore made their way out of the apartment and toward their surprise.
"Sit far away Kestrel." Amore said as she boarded the bus making everyone chuckle except Kestrel. Caressing his cheek for a moment, Rena boarded soon after. Before long, they were all at the restaurant, divided and ready for breakfast. The silence at her side made Rena downtrodden since it gave time for everything to come back to the forefront of her mind. Turning to him as he spoke she nodded in agreement. Though Kestrel was a clown, a lot had happened that took the light out of both of their personalities. "Alright, but where can we train? It's not like we're in a rural area and have plenty of forest to hide in. We're in a large city with too many eyes watching for anything to happen out of the ordinary." she said as she rested on her hand, trying to remember what little she could about the city. Maybe there was a park or a deserted place that they could go to.
In the end, it was decided that no place on Earth they would be able to hide any form of training they might need to do to fight off Crescence. Off they went though to the apartment before they linked hands and Kestrel flashed them to the safest place for Kestrel and Rena to be: the Place of Origin. Taking a deep breath, Rena closed her eyes and let the energy flow in and out of her before she manifested her sword and turned toward Kestrel. "You told me we're going to train. In what ways did you have in mind?" she asked as she held her sword slightly up in attack position in case he meant to fight her to train. Azura and Raze were already off somewhere probably fighting or she was watching over him to make sure he wouldn't blow himself up with an experiment. ...which escape those who dream only by night.

Kestrel SamaelThey say that power corrupts...
Breakfast went just about the way he thought it would, and soon they were moving on to training. There weren't many places to train in the human world without destroying a block or two so they were forced back into the Place of Origin. Aithorn and the others were far off and doing some preparing of their own while Kestrel and Rena had some time to train. Kestrel felt the darkness around him for a moment absorbing all he could hold. Then he dispelled it all far away. Now he only had the amount that he could hold. Rena could probably feel a huge power boost from the concentrated light. "I want you to hit me with the strongest attack you have" said Kestrel looking at Rena. "No doubt they have mastered both light and dark. We need to be able to resist each other the best we can." Kestrel prepared himself for the attack hoping that Rena wouldn't hesitate.
Aithorn and Amore practiced keeping in their Ethereal forms a little longer than usual. Suddenly they felt most of the darkness leave the area. They would be concerned, but they could still feel that Kestel was alive. Turning back to each other the both punched landing blows that knocked them back from each other. Aithorn turned full lion and dashed towards Amore as she turned human smiling. Grabbing his fangs she pushed him back. Then she kneed him up heading under for an attack, but Aithorn turned half lion pouncing on her and headbutting her making a small crater. "Nice try" said Aithorn. Amore went full panther and pushed him off as they started fighting again.
Kestrel gritted his teeth and took Rena's attack. He had lasted a pretty long time, but he was all out of energy. Falling to one knee he was unable to keep the darkness away. "We should try to avoid getting hit...but if we can't its nice to be able to live from it..." he said breathing hard. As it came back he absorbed it and sent it all away again barely allowing himself time to heal. "One more time" he said readying himself for another attack. He wasn't going to allow himself to rest because he knew that his enemies weren't going to give him that luxury. He just hope he wouldn't bee to hard on Rena when it came time for her turn.
...Then absolute power must corrupt completely!

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.Rena most definitely hesitated when Kestrel told her what he wanted her to do. She even lowered her blade and just stared at him. It didn't feel right attacking the one she loved with her strongest attack. It especially felt horrid knowing how low on energy he felt lately. However she knew it was for the best so she gave him a sympathetic look as she pushed as much power as she could muster, spun, and sent the most powerful wave of light she could muster aimed right at Kestrel's heart. She flinched as it came close to him, but he withstood the amount of light she sent his way. It looked awfully painful to do so though. "Kestrel are you sure you can take another hit? I'm not sure that that'd be the best option right now." she said as she took a step closer to him to check to see if he was okay. He was readied for another attack and it was training time. Closing her eyes, she repeated the attack.
Raze and Azura were so far gone from everyone. Azura was working through her attacks while she watched Raze tinker with stones from the largest tree. "What are you doing Raze?" she asked as she spun kick and extended her sword hand on landing. Raze, however, didn't look up while he worked. "I am trying to give us any advantage that I can find. This place has the purest samples of light and dark energy. If I can tap into it, then I can create weapons for whenever Kestrel or Rena are low on energy. Similar to the crystals Celeste used. They can gather energy from their surroundings or she could make them explode if need be." he said as he tried crushing a crystal only to be blown backwards. Azura moved quickly and caught the younger man before he hit his head on a large root. "Don't try that again." she said as she set him down and went back to training.
Rena couldn't help but run to Kestrel as her next attack hit him. She almost didn't make it full power, but he would have known and told her to attack him again. "Kestrel, there must be another way to train than what we're doing now. Do you even feel as though this is helping or just making you feel worse?" she asked as she reached out to brush his bangs out of his eyes, but refrained from touching him in case he was trying to repel light still. Sighing, she sat down on the ground and just rested her head on her arms and knees as she waited for him to be done. Next she would have to repel his strongest attacks and to be quite honest, she did not want to have to go through that. However if he thought this was for the best, she would do it. Would he go full strength on her to help her train? She doubted it. He acted on emotion which meant his heart would get in the way of harming her too much. She acted on logic still which meant she'd do what she had to do. Then throw it in the face of the person who gave you the lemons until they give you the oranges you originally asked for.
