Just outside the school gates lie a massive tree who's towering height looms over campus.
Though it germinated suddenly during the initial attack on the Twin Academy, the acceleration of its growth, caused by the yokai-hunter known as Arum, has halted, as it now grows at a normal rate. In addition, it still glows at night, but the glow has diminished greatly since germination.
Now, this tree is free for student exploration, though doing so is mildy discouraged due to magical risks. No ill effects have been known to occur upon contact with the tree, but one shouldn't trust a yokai-hunter...

Yumi personally wasn't there when the tree germinated, though even within the confines of the school's walls, it was difficult to miss. Questions permeated her mind: how did Arum pull this off? Why did he even bother?
Though the half-yokai was a showman with a pechant for the dramatic, he was constantly scheming. With him, a seemingly random inncident usually was the foothold of a future plot, the reasoning behind his actions bizzare and erratic until hindsight made his mental route painfully obvious. As in painfully, both the physical and mental meanings are usually involved.
"He could easily launch an attack on campus, if the roots ran underneath... but is that all he has to gain? He wouldn't slaughter all of us unless he got something in return..." Then it hit her. "Many yokai vying for the throne would love to oust the chairman. In addition the Haako- whatever-it's-called would be eliminated... This academy is Yuji's foothold and foundation to assert power and ideals..." the oni thought aloud as she lazily lounged on a fairly high branch.

Scythe Cat was a few metres away from the tree, she could sense it easily but couldn't see it, she was building up anger. She hated this body and wanted her own back where Kat couldn't butt in and control it all the time. She was wearing her assassin uniform, today she was obviously on one of her 'outings'. Her head tilted upwards as though to look at the top of the tree, "This is getting stranger by the minute..." She chuckled to herself with her arms crossed across her chest. Thinking of why he bothered to actually create this. Scythe Cat walked round and bumped into Yumi by accident, for some odd reason she couldn't sense her presence.

walks up to the tree and puts ahand on it "you pore thing you need water here..." begins to sing in an unkown laguage andthe sky clouds over hte melody gets louder and more lovely untill if fills the whole area and it starts to rain she then begins a strange and eligant dance still singing

Cali fell, that was typical. She was always falling out of tree's, it seemed like a trait that Cali was idenifity by. Of course her spirit guardian was on full alert today. Kokutan, the grumpy panther that took care of the wolf girl, easily caught her before she landed on Scythe Cat's head. "Uh...G' Morning Scythe Cat!" She said cheerfully like usual. "It's afternoon you dimwitt." Kokutan then dropped her on the branch.

Scythe Cat tilted her head upwards towards Cali and Kokutan and smiled, "Its only noon and your already calling her a dimwitt?" She spoke sarcasticly. "Might turn back into Kats form for the heck of it..." She smiled to herself as she turned into Kats form, looking exactly like Kat and her red scars were hidden by some foundation. She wore the school uniform seeing as she was forced to, it was the outfit Kat was wearing when she took over.

Cali looked down at the person talking to her. "It's ok, I fall all the time anyways so i'm used to it!" She felt embarrassed about how often she fell off branches. "Come join us up here!" She invited the other person.

"If I go up there, Kat will kill me...sure ~" She smirked a bit in Kats body, looking like a nine year old never made her look scary when she tried to be.

smiles "k." steps back a bit and runs up and jumps just before hitting the tree grabs onto a branch 3 feet below Cali swings up then pulls her self up onto branch parallel to her "so whats up?"
