What You Leave Behind. If you lived on a near-derelict space ship millions light years from home, with no way of ever going back, would you dream of another life? What if you discovered that that life was real?

“Epilogue” picks up right where last week’s episode left off, airing tonight at 9 p.m. (8 Central) on Syfy. With a ship full of refugees — the crew’s own descendants, thanks to an alternate timeline where they travelled 2,000 years into the past and established a colony — Destiny arrives at the planet Novus, only to find that their passengers’ homeworld has been decimated by seismic activity.

Point your browser to GateWorld Forum after the episode is over and talk about it with other Stargate fans! And stay tuned to GateWorld all week long for our full coverage of the episode, including the summary and transcript, podcast discussion, HD screencaps, Omnipedia updates, and more.

Here is your preview of “Epilogue:”

From SPACE:

Returning the settlers to their home planet Novus, the Destiny crew discover the planet has been abandoned and on the verge of seismic destruction.

From TV Guide:

Destiny reaches an abandoned modern civilization on a planet in the throes of seismic destruction. While the crew retrieves valuable data archives stored underground, Rush discovers a possible way to help the planet’s survivors.

Episode's not over yet so HUGE SPOILER:

Everyone who's not seen the episode yet gone?
Good.

This episode is quickly becoming my favorite episode of the entire Stargate series surprisingly. I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's just the whole "the SGU crew is looking back two thousand years and seeing how their lives played out" thing. I've always liked character driven episodes more than actioney packed ones. Less flashy sure, but far more intense, at least to me.

And now to the point: I think I cried a little watching the part with Greer and his son. And then TJ....Damn it emo

Supi just so you know that our little discussion threads are spoilers okay. I think it even say's so in the sticky thread.

Anyways on to the episode. I really liked this episode, and I guess those on Novus were capable of space flight after all. The stuff with Greer once again GOLDEN. I liked that Eli wrote and taught the school subjects until he died. The make up to make the cast look older was nicely done. Oh I almost over turned a table when Varro fell, thinking that he had died. I bet if the show had gone on, like Brad Wright had wanted, he said a 5 yr story, I wonder if TJ would have still died from ALS after all she said she didn't start showing signs until they were 5 years into the new "colony." Supi character episodes are great and it seemed to take the show quite awhile to get good balance between character episodes and action ones, too bad the show has to end when its really starting to run now. Season one or at least the 1st half they were learning to crawl, but then again they had to introduce all these new characters to us and that's no easy task.

Ah, well...all right then. Better safe than sorry, no?

And I'm pretty sure she will, eventually. After all, she said she'd have to be a carrier of it to have gotten it on Novus like she did in the first place. Which means she's been carrying it in the present time line as well.

Hmm. Yeah. I like watching character interaction episodes since it gives me a feel as to how to write them in my own pieces.
