Description The Smithy is a long, low half timber structure made mostly of stone and mortar. The roof continues out past the walls leaving a goodly portion of the smithy outdoors. Wide wood paneled windows open up the interior and provide relief from the heat of the forge that dominates one wall. Anvils of various sizes, tools in racks, tempering buckets, and pieces of equipment in various stages of repair are everywhere. The interior would be very cluttered were Urist not so neat, instead the impression is controlled chaos, activity but not mess.
