By RPing I mean irl tabletop gaming with pencils and paper and dice. So please, share your experiences: Good groups, bad groups, players we all want to kill, good or bad GMs... things people are no longer allowed to do in your gaming sessions. I could go on but I think you get the idea.

I've only roleplayed online. I don't really know anyone around me who does the table top thing and I'd have to learn all those rules and such...which is, admittedly not my favorite thing to do. So I think I might just stick to the online thing.
I do that rarely enough as it is. I have a hard time finding people willing to do more than a few sentences at a time >.>

My friends and I wanna learn the 3rd generation rules for Dungeons and Dragons. My dad and I used to play it with the 2nd gen rules and we started trying out the 3rd gen stuff. We have the books, we just have to sit around and read them sometime.
I had some half-dragon characters, those were pretty cool. But my adventures consisted of my dad sending me through dungeons with my party, and he would sometimes join me if my characters seemed like they were going to die. As I was a young lad, he didn't really want me to have to deal with my characters that I worked so hard to put together to die.

I started with D&D v3 and quickly moved to v3.5. But Talon doesn't care to play D&D anymore so we're more likely to play other things.

Ah. My dad played the original D&D with some friends of his while we lived in Germany. But I couldn't join them since I was like a toddler and couldn't possibly play. Aside from that as a toddler I didn't even know what they were doing or why. xD I mostly played with my friend while I was there. He was my best friend. :3
I enjoyed the few campaigns my dad and I managed to play and stuff. We have character generators for those games. Since neither of us play anymore, I usually end up having to stick to the video games, like Diablo. I wish I had more stories to tell.
I could try to tell some of the things my friends have told me about their experiences.

Pick a system...I'm sure I have some interesting stories, If I don't have personal stories I've heard some...
D&D vampire the masquerade/dark ages Star Wars Ninja's and Superspies bubblegum Crisis G.U.R.P.S
I think I've played a few others but can't think of them... and Yes I don't play D&D anymore...just got tired of playing it, but I have had some interesting sessions

So one of my friends told me once how his DM was apparently a smartass or something. lol
So he and his buddies were being chased down by something and they ran across a rope bridge. Well they cut the bridge to prevent the creature from anymore pursuit, I don't quite remember what it was. But it picked up a stone from the other side of the chasm and managed to actually hurl it over and hit one of the guys. So my friend thought, "I can do this if that thing can." So he picked up a stone and hurled it as well. It made it halfway across and then just plummeted downward. I thought that was pretty funny.
He told me about another time when his character was using a bow and was taking aim at something. When he rolled his d20 it came up as a nat 1. So his DM turned to him and said, "You took aim with your bow drew the string back, and as you did, you aimed downward and shot yourself in the foot with your own arrow." I'm still trying to figure that one out. lol

I'm not sure a natural one on an archery shot should do that, but I do play with a GM who claims our weapons screw up if we roll a natural one. Hence me having to troubleshoot both my weapons in the last session we played.
