Quote:
Anya walked in, smiling, both at Alex and at the feel of the carpet on her toes.
She shivered, frowned slightly at herself, wondering why she'd done so, then spoke, cheerful.
"I went camping. Saw some old friends. It was nice to not have to worry about people seeing me between changes." She realised how that might sound. "- because I had a tent to hide in, I mean." She blushed ever so slightly. "So, how've you been doing?"

Alex shrugged lightly at the question, not paying any mind to what might have been unusual in Anya's story, he never really saw the point of trying to be normal. (They have superpowers after all.) Though there was a small part of him wishing he had gone too, he quickly silenced that thought in order to respond to Anya's question. "Can't complain, I found out I possess an ability that throws me into a violent rage at the slightest provocation, and I now carry a bottle of sedatives in my pocket. Are you okay? You shivered just now."

Anya smiled at his concern. "It's fine. Just one of those random shivers, y'know? My brother used to tell me it was somebody walking over my grave..." she frowned slightly. "Which doesn't make sense really, I mean, are they walking over where my grave's going to be when I die, right now? Or are they walking over it in the future, and I'm somehow feeling it?" She laughed slightly. "Will was probably just trying to scare me." Something flickered in her mind.
"So, did Ms Hannigan say it would get better? Is it part of your powers or something?"
Poor Alex; he really did have weird powers.

"I should be getting better at some point, the only suitable analogy I can think of is my body is breaking in my new ability like when you buy a new pair of shoes." He paused when he remembered Anya's habit of forgoing shoes. "Uh bad example. Its just a little issue, nothing to worry about, i'll be back to normal in no time, or my name isn't Alexander Augustus Halford." Alex then promptly smacked his forehead when he realized how idiotic he must have sounded, that and he thinks his middle name is ridiculous.

Anya snorted involuntarily with laughter. "Nice middle name." She smiled, nose crinkly with amusement. "At least your first name's a good one. It makes up for..." she grinned "Augustus."
She put on a mock solemn face. "I get the analogy though. Good to know you'll be okay... Alexander Augustus." Her face split into an amused smile yet again. It wasn't a mean smile, just gentle teasing.

(( I forgot where we left off, soo I'll just begin something new.))

Ava stood over now-almost-one-month-year-old Evangeline and inspected the baby incrediously. Her flaming red hair was up in a loose bun and was mostly in knots. There were dark bags under her emerald eyes. She felt as though all the energy had been sucked out of her body. Ava was exhausted. But still, when she looked down at Evie, all she could do is smile. Smile at the dark hair on her head and how small the size of her hands and feet were. Ava didn't want to realize what had happened with Harri. She just wanted to stand there, in peace, with her daughter.

Bethan knocked on the door to the cottage, then opened it when she found it unlocked. Looking almost as tired as Ava, she walked up to the cot, smiling a little when she saw Evie.
"Heyyy little baby." she cooed. "Can I talk to your mommy for a second? And then I'll come and see you again! Yes I will. Yes I will!"
She straightened up and raised an eyebrow in question at Ava.
"It's about Harri's will. I've been cleaning her apartment. I left you a message, but I don't think you got it..." She turned away from Evie, and lowered her voice. "We need to start organising a funeral, Ava. She's in cryo, but still... We all need the closure." Her voice was only slightly shaky, her professionalism covering her heartbreak.

"Its not funny, okay maybe a little but do you know how much I had to put up with because of that?" Against all urges to do otherwise, Alex grinned and began chuckling. "Okay, you know my achilles heel, its only fair I know yours. What is it: a phobia, a disease, or maybe you're secretly a guy?" I certainly hope it ain't the last one, it took me a week before I could be in the same room as him again. Alex let out a quick full-body shiver before he resumed speaking. "Why haven't I started seeing a therapist? All things considered, I should be in a straight-jacket and padded room."

"You couldn't really go to a normal therapist though." She put on a German accent, mimicking a therapist. ""Well, you say you turn into... a monster? I'm sure you do, Alex..." Then I guess you would be put into some kind of facility." The latter was in her normal voice. "I think they save those for the actual crazy people. You're pretty much normal here." She smiled.
"And who says I have an achilles heel?"

"Everyone has a weak point, typically its a sharp, or otherwise object to the back of the head. Though its also possible for there to be a psychological weakness, such as a minor insanity or phobia. To say you have no weak point would be implying you are of godlike power, which I highly doubt." Alex decided to simply sit back down in the chair he was in when Anya showed up.

Anya frowned. "You don't need to dumb it down for me. I meant I don't have anything specific to me."
She didn't have anything that was, essentially, her kryptonite, although she was pretty sure she'd go mad fairly soon if she was deprived of her powers and forced to stay human all the time.

"Fair enough, sorry for prying." Alex raised his hands like Anya was pointing a gun at him. "It ain't my place to know anyway, so my ridiculous middle name aside, what were you up to before we started talking?"

Ava nodded in reply. "Yeah, sorry. I haven't been able to reach my phone." She ran a hand through her hair and released a sigh. "Okay, I guess we should." She dragged her feet out of Evie's room and then sat down at the kitchen table.

[[Sorry it's been so long! I have exams coming up so I'll be on maybe once or twice week for a month or so.]]

Bethan pulled a pad of paper and a pen out of her pocket, and sat down next to Ava. After setting them down on the table, she pulled a thin envelope out of her inner blazer pocket. It was an old, yellowing envelope, with an address on the front crossed out with blue biro, a shopping list on the back - Pokémon cards, cheese, hair dye, cake, sushi, alcohol - and with rings from coffee mugs, and splashes of tea staining it on both sides. Hands trembling slightly, she pulled out a single piece of file paper, clearly ripped from some kind of spiral-bound notebook, and unfolded it. It had some kind of anime characters in the corner that Bethan vaguely recognised - Shugo Chara?
On this sheet of paper, in Harri's untidy but oh-so-familiar scrawl, were a few paragraphs of writing, entitled 'The Last Will and Testament of Haruhi Yami'.
Taking a deep breath, she began reading.

I, Haruhi Yami, (a.k.a Harriet or Harri Yami), solemnly swear that I am up to no good this is my will.
First, to Ethan, I leave all my Pokémon cards, Japanese Pokémon games (including the Gold Version signed by Satoshi Tajiri), and my Nintendo 3DS.
To Bethan, I leave the photo of us, Anna, and Ikuto by the river near the orphanage. It should be in the same envelope as this.
To Ava, I leave the first photo of us ever taken. It's the one that Bethan took one day by the fountain. We were so small!
The rest of my photos and home videos can go to whichever of you three wants them, same for my clothes and the rest of my stuff. Check is Anna and Ikuto want anything too.
The stuff that none of you wants can be sold, and the money gets to go to my last request...
Use all my money to set up a scholarship 3 scholarships! Give them to orphans who come to Hero High so they can get an allowance, and holidays, and a great apartment when they leave.

Bethan paused, wiped a tear off her cheek, then finished reading. The last few lines were set apart, followed by her signature.

I guess that's my whole will, then. Like I'll need it anytime soon...

She pulled the two photos from the envelope, and passed Ava's hers. In it, a Harri with long, blue hair and the same mischievously-twinkling eyes sat next to a younger-looking Ava on the edge of the fountain. They looked about 15.
In Bethan's photo, they were about 6. A chubby-looking Bethan sat by the side of a river with Anna, while Harri played in the water, and Ikuto skulked nearby.
After a moment of studying it, smiling, Bethan set it down carefully on the table. "So, what flowers? Something cheerful... and quirky. Something... Harri."

[[I'll post as Anya tomorrow, hopefully, but that took too long for me to do any more tonight.]]

Anya flushed. Despite having made a lot of progress, she still responded in a way that just wasn't quite normal occasionally.
"I was going to get some food, and then go back to my room and revise for Biology. I can't believe my first exam's in just over a week, and then they just snowball from then." Grimly, she thought of the massive workload she had.
"What were you up to?"
