Timeline
It's approximately five hundred years after the events of Kingdom Hearts Two. For all intents and purposes, none of the games other than KH1, CoM, and KH2 ever happened.

The universe has known 50 years of peace, thanks to the efforts of the Legion of Lightbearers, and other heroes; before that, however, The Sorceress had a great deal of power. More on the details of how she was actually contained will be revealed as the role play progresses.

Worlds
As this takes place in the future, all worlds found in the games may be changed. They may have new features, or perhaps some of the old features may be removed. I leave it up to the players to decide what a place looks like, and we will add the information as it is created.

Four kinds of worlds are allowed– Disney, Final Fantasy, Original, and Original Kingdom Hearts worlds.

There is only a short list of worlds right now because the role play is new. You, the player, create this universe. If you want to be from The Jungle Book, and claim that it is now highly advanced in technology, then so be it. If you want to be from Spira, and claim that Sin has just recently destroyed everything again, then so be it.

Worlds under the control of The Sorceress are not off-limits, but be aware that the possibility of..., well, death, is highly likely. Being 'Frozen' is also a possibility. Your character could be adventurous! Or insane. Or maybe they just punched in the wrong coordinates.
We will not list the worlds under her control at the moment because we're leaving that open to the players, as well. If we went ahead and made a list of which worlds were under her control, then we'd be stealing those worlds from the players. What if somebody wanted to be from one of those worlds? More of her dominion will be added as time goes on. If you want a world to be under her control, just ask Riorin or myself.

The worlds listed already have their history/setting written, and thus you must abide by the parameters already set. For all worlds (except Disney Castle), you may certainly add areas, facts, and what have you.

  • Disney
    • Disney Castle - Part of the Frozen Empire, entirely impenetrable.
    • Olympus Coliseum -
      • Olympus Coliseum still has an older Greek feel to it, but has also been mixed with some technology.
There is a gummie ship hanger, and many of the ships that arrive are commercial flights, carrying people to and from tournaments. The gummie hanger is on the edge of the city.
The city itself holds the Coliseum, hotels, and many shops.
The Coliseum hasn't changed. There's an area to the side where people may sign up for tournaments.
Wandering outside of the city can be dangerous. Although heartless are nowhere to be found on Olympus, there are other monsters to beware of.
After wandering along a path out of the city, you come to a series of temples. These temples are generally dedicated to the gods of Olympus, but one sticks out oddly–the Temple of Sora. The gods of Olympus, apparently, don't mind that it's there; the rumor is that they're amused by it.
Inside of the Temple of Sora is the Cornerstone of Fire. The orb usually appears bright with swirling red flames inside of it, but lately it has been less vibrant... dimming.

Final Fantasy
Ivalice

Original
Kleides - Home of the Legion of Lightbearers. Their headquarters, a very large and many storied building, is located here. This world has Roman-esq architecture, and many temples and buildings dedicated to the Trinity.

KH Original

Travel and Technology
Gummie ships are the main source of travel between worlds, public or private. In rare cases, we'll add a Teleport Sphere that allows much faster travel. Dark portals are allowed, but you cannot open one too far away or in a Light dominated area, such as next to the Cornerstone of Light. Magical items that open portals or teleport are allowed, but a limit of how often they can be used will be enforced.

Modern technology, such as cars and guns, may exist, but I'd like things to maintain a Kingdom Hearts feel.

The Sorceress
The Sorceress has been around for centuries. She conquers worlds and people utilizing forbidden forms of black magic, "Freezing" her victims. Whereas her victims stop aging immediately, she does not have the ability to make herself immortal in the same way. She must consume strong hearts in order to stay alive, which creates Nobodies in the process. She has "convinced" many of the Nobodies to be her minions, but an organization exists that fights against her for the logical reason that destroying her would release their hearts. Princesses of Heart are especially sought after, hunted for their hearts, as are Keyblade Masters.

Nobodies
A group of Nobodies exist at Castle Oblivion. Their goal is the simple object of getting their hearts back, regardless of how they were lost; Sorceress or otherwise. They are known as the Organization (name subject to change), and currently have 0 members. ((Apply if interested))

If you want to apply for any Organization member, the leader, a lesser member, etc., feel free to.

Nobodies don't have to work for either the Organization or The Sorceress. They can have their own unique storylines.

Canons
Canons that did not occur in the Kingdom Hearts games may be applied for. The Turks, from Final Fantasy VII, for example.

Some immortal canons, such as Hades, may still exist.

A side note concerning "lame" canons.
Lame canons are Yuna, Rikku, and Paine. They are Tidus and Wakka. They are not half as cool in Kingdom Hearts as they were in their original games. If you want to bend the rules and say, "Hey, I want to apply for Yuna, but I don't want her to be a lame little-annoying-useless-flying-thing, OR dead of old age" you may do so, if you wish, and we'll most likely approve of it. We can pretend that her lame-useless-disappointing existence in Kingdom Hearts never happened, and give her a more deserving role. This is our playground: we don't have to put up with that lame crap.

If you absolutely must play Sora, Riku, etc., then be aware that they would be Frozen by The Sorceress, and be forced to do her bidding. If they were ever freed, they'd eventually discover that 500 years have passed, and the people they love are all dead. Depressing, no? Granted, it might make for some epic role playing.

Princesses of Heart
The original Princesses of Heart are long dead and buried. As most of them were royalty, their descendants sometimes claim the same title in addition to their thrown; although, as should be obvious, purity of heart cannot be passed down by bloodline.
Princesses of Heart are open for audition.

Legion of Lightbearers
The Legion is an organization of warriors that have dedicated their lives to stopping the spread of darkness. They are responsible for the care of the Cornerstone of Light. Through their efforts, the universe has remained largely peaceful for the past fifty years.

They are powerful, numerous, well organized, and never short of funds. Their headquarters, a castle-sized building, is located on Kleides.

Many of them are Keyblade Masters.

_____________________________

NEW - The Legion Hierarchy
Due to popular demand, we now have a ranking system for members of the Legion.

The Grand Council
These are the rulers of the Legion. There are twelve council members, and each has their own gemstone that corresponds to their seat. Traditionally, they are elected by other council members, and remain on the council until resignation or death. Many are related to famous figures of the past.

Military
General - a council member
High Captain
Captain
Lieutenant (Lt.)
Squad Leader
Soldier - 1st class (the most talented, strong, etc), 2nd class (moderately strong), 3rd class (grunt)
Healer

Keyblade Master
Keyblade Warrior (Keyblader, Keyblade Wielder, , etc.)
Keyblade Apprentice
- The military rank of someone who has a keyblade depends. They could be high up, or an ordinary soldier.

Magical Properties
Necklaces with special powers, shoes that increase speed, etc. You may start out with two items with any boost or perk you can think of (one power per item), within reason.
  • Your items may be lost or stolen.
  • You may steal other character's items only with their player's permission. ((Few exceptions. "Steal" could be an ability, in which case we'd settle it with a dice roll.))
  • Upgrades: Moogles may upgrade your items, granting them more abilities. Give the item to the Moogle. The Moogle will tell you what upgrades are available. After ten decent posts of non-rushed and good quality role playing, half of which must be interacting with other characters, the item will be upgraded.

Powerful Artifacts
The Cornerstone of Light is one such item. It, along with several others, are essential to keeping The Sorceress contained.

Cornerstones:
CS of Fire
CS of Water
CS of Earth
CS of Wind
CS of Light
CS of Heart

Your character may have as many as they can reasonably carry, and whatever kinds you so wish.

As far as magical weapons are concerned, you may only have one to start with. There may be exceptions to this rule. Say your character owns a pair of identical daggers, one with a red blade, and one with a blue blade, and you want them to cause fire damage and ice damage, respectively. That would be okay. They're a pair, and we wouldn't want to deny something cool like that.

Very powerful weapons will not be allowed unless you have a good backstory for them.

Your weapon may not disappear upon command. Only keyblades can do that. "Hammerspace" only applies to the Keyblades. If you want your weapon to have hammerspace, you'll have to hand it over to a Moogle. The only Moogle(s) capable of attaching this ability to your weapon (or items!) are found at the Olympus Coliseum. Many people know of this, and travel there just for that purpose.

"Famous" weapons, such as Cloud's Buster Sword, or Donald's Wand, also exist. The Masamune exists. Weapons like these aren't easy to come by.

Keyblades
Yes, your character may have a keyblade. You may make up a keyblade, any idea really, but there are some rules to being granted one.
In addition to original keyblades you may make up, there are several already created you may apply for (list below).
  • It must be in character. They aren't drawn to anyone. Your character must have strength, will, heart, etc.
  • You may have the keyblade be a part of your character's history, but if you are entirely new to the guild and have less than 10 posts of actual role playing, than we may deny you the keyblade because we're unfamiliar with your post style and commitment to activity.
  • Not everyone may have a keyblade. If we feel there are too many in the RP already, we may deny it.

Anyone who has a keyblade will be actively hunted by The Sorceress. In fact, although she herself is unable to pass the special boundaries the Cornerstone of Light and other similar artifacts create, her minions may do so. And although these barriers keep her from creating new minions, they don't keep her current minions from trying to kill the keyblade wielders. In short, you're a target.

The Sorceress's minions seem to know where a Keyblade Master is, in a similar manner that heartless are attracted to them.

Elemental Keyblades:
Fire
Water
Earth
Wind
Light
Heart

When applying, just put them under the 'weapons' category.

Abilities and magic are open to the imagination, but they must make a bit of sense, especially when relating to your character. If a person has been training under a wizard, it would make sense if they knew a lot of magic. There must be a reason your character knows what they know.

Everyone starts out with five total ability slots. You may have all five of them be based on attack, or all five be supportive, or however you want to distribute it. Your abilities don't have to be magically based. You could make up a thief ability, be proficient in martial arts (no need to describe a basic punch), have the ability to jump really high, glide, etc.
++"Passive" abilities, are abilities that you don't have to think about in order to do. Your character could be immune to poison, for example. These abilities are treated like all others, and take up the ability slots; however, racial or species based abilities do not take up any slots.

Magic does not make you a bender (Avatar). If you know how to form a fireball, that doesn't mean you're able to form a fire sword out of it. You can learn how, over time, or have it as a second ability. For example:

  • Fireball - You can cast a basic fire spell that appears in the form of a ball in your hand, which you can throw at anyone or anything. It explodes on contact.
    • Fire Sword - Having studied Fire more, you are now able to form a sword, or crude sword shape, which somehow remains solid enough to not disperse upon contact with a solid object. You swing it and stuff.

Or, in that example, the Firesword ability could come first, and the Fireball afterwards. They're both pretty basic, but just because you know one doesn't mean you automatically know the other.
++It is possible to eventually be able to 'bend' elements, in an Avatar-esq sense, but that's a rather advanced ability. More powerful abilities such as that would take up more slots than your average ability. Bending and control of an entire element would most likely take up all five, or more, as it's basically god-like.

User Image
As far as levels of power and skill go, that will be judged by how many slots an ability takes up. I'll use Fire as an example. In Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy games, fire usually follows this pattern. First, you learn Fire; second, you learn Fira; and third, you learn Firaga. Firaga is the third level of 'power' in fire magic, and takes up three ability slots. If you know Firaga, you already know Fire and Fira. Thus, next to every ability slot in the profiles, a number will be placed (by you, or by us). {1} will signify that the ability took up one ability slot. You could have a 'steal' ability, and choose to be a bit more efficient at it than the average thief, and make it take up {2} slots.

Remember that you may start out with five ability slots, but you'll be given more over time. If your character is focusing on a specific ability, and actually role plays that they're learning it, then they'll get it.
