It was a normal day on the island of Hawaii, a clear and nice summer day but clouds were starting to appear in the sky. Cody was enjoying his time as he had graduated from high school and was enjoying his freedom till college in the winter (not a normal college... just go with it). He was out on the water kayaking, when he had gone a bit to far out and the waves started to get a bit rough. He wondered why the waves had gotten bad but it was just a current that got close to the island is all but as the waves got rougher, he tried to get back to shore but as he was turning, a wave came and hit the side of his kayak, he was pulled underwater but when he tried to swim back up, the wave had knocked the air from his lungs, which made it hard for him to swim as his lungs already started to hurt from not being able to breath but as he was starting to pass out, he saw a shadow swim towards him, thinking that he thought that he saw a tail... He blacked out but then felt a pressure around his hand as he was grabbed. He woke up later on a nearby sand bar, it was a bit hidden by a rocky area that surrounded it. He got up and looked around, wondering how he had gotten here but then he found his kayak and started to head home but then later that night, he was enjoying tea as he looked up at the night sky but a women and a man appeared as they walked up to his home. He looked at her curiously but then the man looked at him, "Hello there... I hope that you two are ready for you wedding..." He said looking at Cody, he looked back at the guy but then looked at the girl, "Im your fiancee." She said shyly. The guy then explained that they were merpeople... and that by law, if a mermaid is seen by a human then either one of them has to be killed to have the secret be kept but the man, who is her father, didn't want either of them to die so he came up with the idea that they could get married, which kept them both from being killed but what happens when Cody and the mermaid fall in love?
(I got this from the anime... I know, but I thought that it was interesting... and I am looking for an active, literate female gaian. Someone that I haven't rped with before preferably.)

(Alright)
Cody was sitting outside of his home, looking at the stars. He was drinking a cup of tea. He looked around at the sky, thinking about the girl that had saved him, still trying to think if she had a tail or not, it was so strange but then he remembered that he had woken up on shore, would he have just dreamed it?

Akia smiled as she walked down the street amiring the human's world. It was so diffrent soem anything she was used to. Smiling she stoped and looked around. Teh sound was diffremt, even the smell. She loved it. All of it. Turning down a side road exploring seh looked aroudn then stoped when seh seen a fimilar face. She smiled and waved, and ran up, and looked around, "Is this were human's love?" she asked him looking at the house.

Cody was sitting and looking up at the stars but then he heard someone getting closer, he turned and saw a girl, she seemed familiar but then he heard what she asked, "What do you mean?" He asked curiously when she looked at the house.

Cody looked at her, a bit confused about how she didn't know what a house was but then he nodded, "Yes... this is where I live." He asked softly but then saw a man walk up behind her and stand behind her to her side as if he were a guard or something.

Akia looked over nad up and smiled, "Hi Papa!" he said happily. HE looked down at her and smiled, he was at lest a good foot taller thens eh was, "Is this the boy you told me about?" he asked in a deep voice, "This is him Papa. I'm sure of it, this is the person I saved." He frowned, sighed and shook his head, "You knwo what must be done Akia." Akia gapped and shook her head, turning to face him, "No! No Papa! I won't let you!"

Cody looked at the man but then he looked at her, hearing that she was the one that had saved him, he thought about it but then remember seeing the girl that he thought that he saw having a tail instead of legs before blacking out. He saw that she gasped but then looked at them, "Whats going on?" He asked confused.

Akia glared at her father then turned around to face Cody and sihged, "I guess I should begin with who I am. I'm Akia Talein, and.... a mermaid...." she said reluctently, "The thing is... When a human learns about us the human usually ends up dying..." she trailed off. "The reson they have to is to keep out secret. No one must know of us." her father tols him. "I don't have to have to harm anyone.." he said thouaghtfully then smiled, "What about uniiting the two of you? I mean a meraige, they can't order yoru death then." he stated.

Cody looked at Akia when she introduced herself but then she heard what she said about her being a mermaid. He knew that he had seen something but then he looked at her a bit scared when she said that if a human, him, found out that they must be killed. He then heard what her father said about uniting them and having them get married, "You mean like us getting actually married and I would be her husband and her my wife?" he asked shyly and a bit surprised.
