USA Network has just renewed its newest series, Fairly Legal, for a second season, according to TVbytheNumbers! The first season of the show has featured Stargate‘s Richard Dean Anderson (Jack O’Neill) in the recurring role of David Smith, a man with many secrets who enters the life of the show’s main character after her father’s death.
With the Stargate franchise going off television for the foreseeable future after next week’s SGU finale (story), Fairly Legal may become the best place to find Anderson on the dial. (His last Stargate appearance was one year ago, in the episode “Incursion, Part 1.”)
Fairly Legal follows a former lawyer, Kate Reed (played by Sarah Shahi), who decides to change professions and become a mediator after the death of her father. Anderson appeared in four of the freshman season’s 10 episodes.
Michael Trucco, best know to sci-fi fans as Battlestar Galactica‘s Sam Anders, co-stars on the USA series.
In other RDA news, the actor is set to host an upcoming History Channel special titled 101 Gadgets That Changed the World, airing on June 19 (Father’s Day).
Fairly Legal wrapped up its first season in March, finishing strong with over 4 million viewers. Look for Season Two next winter, and in the meantime follow Anderson on Twitter @andersonrdean!
