Shiloe sat silently on the barstool and stared into the empty glass for the fourth time that evening. A waitress came by and set another drink down for him and flashed him a smile.

"Thanks" he mumbled before bringing the glass to his lips. He set the glass down and reached inside his jacket and let his hand rest on the holster of his 'Samurai Edge'. When Shiloe had been "suspended" from the police force he'd taken his S.T.A.R.S badge and combat knife, which was currently stashed on his belt and hidden by his jacket. His 'Samurai Edge', however, had gone to Robert Kendo to be destroyed and used for spare parts. Fortunately Kendo and the S.T.A.R.S members had a mutual dislike of the chief of police and Shiloe was able to reclaim the handgun that had saved his life more than once. The former S.T.A.R.S officer shuddered, remembering the horrors he'd witnessed in the Arklay woods. Shiloe still had nightmares about the creatures with rotting flesh that killed his friends and teammates. He was still woken up in the dead of night due to thoughts of the experiments the Umbrella corporation created.

Shiloe took another swig of his drink before setting it down and looking around. He checked the clock and rubbed the stubble on his face. 'That's odd, this place is usually buzzing with off duty officers around this time.' he thought to himself. A chill ran up Shiloe's spine as he turned on his stool and surveyed the rest of the bar. A scream filled his ears and his head shot towards the door. One of the waiters lay on the ground with another man tearing at his throat. As if by instinct Shiloe was aiming the 'Samurai Edge' at the creature tearing the waiter apart.

"Get back!" he barked before moving towards the zombie and putting a round in it's head. Quickly Shiloe tossed the corpse and the dead waiter out the door and slammed it shut. "Block the doors!" he ordered as he shoved the jukebox in front of the main entrance. Shiloe panted as he lay up against the jukebox. The sound of glass breaking signalled that his break was over as he aimed his pistol.

Shiloe opened his mouth to respond but was cut short when a hand grabbed his hair and yanked him back. His 'Samurai Edge' slipped from his hands and fell to the floor as he fought to keep himself from the zombie's mouth. As if on impulse he grabbed the knife from his belt, swung around and planted it into the creature's temple, effectively ending it's existance. Quickly Shiloe retrieved his knife and looked at the back door. It was swung wide open and the waitress and the bar's owner lay dead. Shiloe rushed over to J and checked his corpse. As the waitress began to re-animate Shiloe grabbed a key from the bartenders corpse and retreated a few paces. "Let's get out of here, then I'll explain" he told her as the waitress found her way to her feet and J's corpse began to get up. "Grab my gun and let's go"

Shiloe unlocked the door to the stairwell as more zombies began piling in through the back door and the broken windows. "We can get to the fire escape from the roof" he stated as he opened the door and made his way up the stairs.

Shiloe narrowed his eyes at the mentioning of "the mansion" as he grabbed his 'Samurai Edge' and checked the clip. 14 shots and one spare clip. Better use is sparsely. he thought before looking back at Lilith. Something about her struck him as familiar but he couldnt place his finger on it. Shiloe moved quickly and kept his gun leveled in front of him. He approached a door and tried the knob but found it to be locked. Shiloe tried the key but it became stuck and snapped when he tried to remove it. "Let's go"

Shiloe dropped two of the undead with well placed headshots before he slammed the door shut and pushed some stacked crates in front of the door. Shiloe nodded and holstered his knife and pistol before jogging towards the fire escape. He jumped down, his weight causing the structure to creak. "Let's hurry. I dont want to be on this thing any longer than i have to be" he commented.

The fire escape creaked again with the two people standing on it. Shiloe ran down the flights of stairs and jumped down to the street. He landed with a thud and grunted before drawing his pistol and looking around. He couldn't see anything in the immediate area but he knew that he couldn't let his guard down. Quickly Shiloe moved to his motorcycle and put the key in the ignition. He didnt want to risk starting it and giving away his position so he waited for his companion to reach the street.

Shiloe straddled the bike and looked at her. "you got a car?" he asked as moans could be heard echoing from inside the bar and down the street.
