Barricaded for the livings' convenience. If you seek protection for yourself or shelter, climb the fire escape. If you're wounded, you better have a good story. Those were the words you would see if you tried to get into Kendo's gun shop. The massive glass windows had been painted black, and shelves were pressed against them from the inside. It was all Kylana could do to protect the building on such short notice. She stood on the roof of the gunshop's building, one leg stretched out to be standing, the other folded under her on the guard of the roof. "Units, respond! ...Is anyone out there? Is anyone hearing me? I repeat, orders are to bring any civilians who have not been bitten to the station. Use the door to the parking lot. Units respond..."Kylana jerked the radio from her belt, "Gregg, shut up! I don't think there's another single cop out here besides myself, and you're really not helping. At least sing me a song or something." she growled into it. She clipped it back, not wanting to say anything more to them. She looked out over the city, looking for another target. She only shot a zombie every hour or so, so the rest of them wouldn't be drawn by the noise and notice where she was. The nearest zombie was shambling along a wall of the building next to hers. She aimed the borrowed rifle at its head, and marked another scratch onto the concrete where she sat. It's probably been about 5 hours that she's been up here. She sighed, and took another drink from the water bottle next to her.

Shiloe crouched low behind a car when he heard the shot go off. He gazed behind him and saw that he'd lost Lilith. "Where the hell did she go?" he asked, oblivious to the slouching corpse creeping up behind him. The zombie's moan being the only thing that gave it away to the oblivious ex-cop. Shiloe spun and fired his 'Samurai Edge', planting three rounds into the corpse and dropping it to the street. The shots echoed down the street and things were quiet for a few seconds. Then a chorus of moans rang out from down the street causing a chill to go up the ex-S.T.A.R.S. officers spine.

Lilith was just around the corner from Shiloe, She could see him looking for her. She looked around for any other signs of danger when she saw one moving in for Shiloe, but before she could react, he shot it, giving off an echo down the quiet street.
She ran over to him, and gave him a smile, "Come...Into the store..." She grabbed his arm lightly to pull him up.

Elena Hearthrome
Elena Hearthrome, a small woman with ebony black ponytail-tied hair, dashed from one street to the other. The streets of Raccoon had been quiet for the time being but she knew that the creatures were just hanging around the corners, waiting for the right time to strike. She knew all about the capabilities of the creatures, or as she liked to call them "zombies", earlier that day ever since receiving the distress call from the company. She was asked to cover some incident that involved a man "eating" his entire family before he was shot by an officer. It was Elena's first time to cover gruesome events like cannibalism but she was asked to do so she did anyways.
When she arrived in the area, she and her partner Claus were horrified to see the entire apartment (where the family lives) drenched in human blood. She gasped in shock as she realized that there were no people around the area at all. Wanting to know more, they entered the complex and went to investigate. It was by that time when they discovered that several people were converging a dead police officer; it was a vivid scene Elena couldn't shake off her mind. They ran of course but not until Claus was tackled by one of the zombies (or cannibals) and was bitten in his neck. He shouted for help once and then realizing his fate, waved Elena off. She wanted to help but she saw that other creatures began to sprout from the corners like ghosts from the movies. She escaped reluctantly as left Claus with the horrible creatures.
And now, she saw the famous Kendo Gun Shop. Upon stopping, she saw a sign at the front of the shop. "...climb the fire escape..." Elena read the sign. Feeling a flutter of hope in her chest, she thought that maybe more of the able-bodied people were converging at the shop. Then, all of the sudden, she heard three rounds of gun go off. She almost shrieked in shock when she realized a LIVE person must be around the area. This time, too, she heard the chorus of zombie moans filling the air. She wanted to go and look for the person but Elena was scared as hell; what was she to do?
Pulling a bow that she stole from a local bow shop, she pulled an arrow from her quiver (she stole it also) and then aimed at the direction of the gun rounds. She chose an arrow above else because she was an archery champion when she was in college and she was damned proud of it. She walked slowly just in time to see a woman pull a man, who seemed to be an officer of the Raccoon Police Department, or specifically, the S.T.A.R.S. division. "Oh my God! I almost shot you guys there!" Elena gasped, pulling back her bow as looked at the two.

Lilith quickly dropped her hand and looked up to see a figure on top of the building. "Holy~! You scared me. Please don't talk so loud" she whispered

Shiloe spun and nearly squeezed off a round when he heard a voice come from behind him. "I could say the same thing" he stated before the shuffling of feet alerted him. With his gun raised he did a 180 and sighted two targets. Shiloe easily fired off two rounds and dropped the to the street. "We should go"

Lilith nodded and replied, "Yeah I think we should" she started walking towards the back of the store where the fire escape is.

Shiloe checked his clip, taking note that he only had five rounds remaining before he'd need to reload. Quickly he followed Lilith to the back of the store. He looked up at the fire escape before checking to make sure they weren't in any immediate danger. The ladder was a ways off the ground and it would require an individual to jump, or be boosted, up to it. With a sigh Shiloe holstered his pistol and crouched down, facing Lilith with his fingers interlocked. "Ladies first" he said

Kylana's breath caught in her throat as multiple people showed up below. She motioned for them to hurry up with their chatter and get up to the roof, while covering them with the rifle while they all got up. When they were on the fire escape stairs and safe for the time being, she set the gun down and unclipped her radio and brought it near her lips. "Yeah, this is Officer Valentine. You sound pretty calm compared to the rest of them, Kirk. Anyway, I've set up a refuge at Ken's gun shop. Figured people would try to come here to find weapons for themselves. It's a safe place, as long as nobody here makes too much noise. But a few civilians just showed up, they were kind of making a raucous, I'm a little afraid that we'll be getting attention pretty soon. I'll keep you informed." She clipped it back on, and started helping the civilians up onto the roof.

Lilith nodded and placed a foot on his hand and hopped up, reaching up to the latter. she pulled herself up and climbed up. She got on the platform and fixed the latter to move down. "There you go" She said smiling down at him. She pulled her gun out to make sure he was safe from behind.

Shiloe nodded and grabbed onto the ladder. "Thanks" he said as he climbed up to the platform. He grabbed his 'Samurai Edge' and moved to the stairs of the fire escape. Quickly he took the stairs two at a time as he headed up. He reached the top and disappeared over the edge and onto the roof.

Lilith quickly followed him and (edit cause i can't read sweatdrop ) climbed over onto the roof. she crouched down low and looked around with her gun close to her.

Shiloe gazed around the roof and lowered his handgun. He slowly started to make his way towards the police officer on the roof. "Officer" He started as he reached into his back pocket. He wasn't sure how much credibility his old badge would have but a regualr cop working the beat might think something of it. "Shiloe Faye, S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team, what the hell is going on? How the hell did another outbreak get started?"
