Welcome To My "Once Upon A Time"
Please keep all limbs within the capacity of the ride, buckle your safety belts, and hold on tight because you're about to experiance a bit of future history, that's been in the TOP SECRET files for a LONG time.
Ok, now that I've gotten that out of my system, welcome to my portfolio. My name's Red, and I'll be posting parts of my story every now and then. I'd appreciate any comments you'd care to give, but if you'd just care to read and not comment, that's ok too..sort of. I know the parts are long, but [hopefully] it's well worth it if you read the ENTIRE thing, tiring though it may be. So sit back, and enjoy the show.

Part One: Page One
Part Two: Page One
Setting:
A planet called Spira. One side is called Bevild, the Dark Side, where there are massive storms, slave houses, prisons, and a city of outcasts. The other side is called Bary, the Light Side, where it's just a normal, Earth-like place [except for the casual alien]. A large bit of water runs through the middle of the planet that seperates both side.
It's a futuramic time frame, set somewhere in the late 2000's to early 3000's. I haven't really figured out which year I'd like it to be yet.

I liked it. Heehee, I want to see the next part. But what did that have to do with a planet called Spira? It seems very "Earth" to me...unless you're going to write about that later. Then...I shall wait! wink

Well, it sort of is Earth-like. Bary anyway. Bevild's more of a Dark Earth. But Earth was destroyed a LONG time ago. It will probably seem more like a Medieval setting than anything. To tell you the truth, I haven't really made the setting seem at all like a future planet except for the aliens. But..I don't really want it to seem like Earth..blah..hard to explain. Just keep reading, and hopefully it'll make sense sometime soon. ^_^
By the way, the parts I post are most likely going to be edited A LOT when I get around to it. I've been working on the story's plot and stuff a lot, especially this morning with my friend Rach. Hopefully I'll be able to actually have a real idea about what the hell I'm doing. lol.

The only thing I think you might want to clear up, if you aren't going to later, is why would the girl's cousin and friends give her to the slave place? I can't wait to read more!

Ok, all my fellow readers and writers, I'm going to take a break. Not from writing, but from posting up my story, because it'll take me a while to edit, and I want to get as much done as possible first so I can actually show you all parts of it every other day or so, rather than every week. I'll try to get back and post as soon as I can. Thanks for the comments. ^_^
