dude Grey Fox FTW. No one can really beat that. Even though he had his flaws you have to remember that that was what made him strong.

Raiden hands down. He did far more than Gray Fox did. And much more badass.

Personally I would have to say Gray Fox.
He had such a larger part in the Metal Gear series than Raiden did.
First being Null, and then being saved by Big Boss. Only to work with him in Outer Heaven, and to work with Snake and then fight against him in Metal Gear 2. After being experimented on and becoming the Cyborg Ninja he saves Snake by sacrificing his life. A pretty meaningful part if I do think so myself. Being able to play as Gray Fox was pretty fun in Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions. I just wish his missions weren't so damn short.
Yes Raiden did take a large part in the Big Shell incident, and he also becomes a Cyborg Ninja. Doing some pretty cool moves killing Gecko and fighting Vamp. He also did save Sunny. Playing as Raiden in MGO is fun, but I enjoyed playing as Raikov a lot more in the original MGO. Stunning people by grabbing their crotches was just too good.

I don't know if Gray Fox had a bigger role. Raiden did everything you mentioned and the game that hes staring in. He also did save Snake on more than one occasion. But than again who really hasen't saved Snake that had a chance to?

I'm pretty sure the number of times Raiden saved Snake makes Gray Fox and Raiden equal in the "sacrifice" thing. I mean he stabbed himself in the gut in order to do damage to Vamp who was probably gonna try to kill Snake the second he got. Not to mention he cut his own arm off in order to help him in anyway he could. He did pretty much sacerfice himself in order to stop the ship from crushing Snake by almost getting himself killed to slow it down and lossing anther arm. Than saving Snake once more from the Frogs and almost dying yet again. So I think that there even with that.

I know i made this but i just wanted to know what you guys think.
I say Gray fox is better he is faster, stronger i think his exoskeleton is stonger then Raiden to.
Gray fox stop metal gear from stomping on snake. Gray fox lost a arm fighting Metal gear and even after he lost the arm he destroy the radar then he got smash by metal gear after a few stomps on him
SO GRAY FOX IS THE BETTER ONE.

What make you think hes faster and stronger? I mean were talking about a guy who was able to spin multiply Gekkos and not even be out of breath after words. Not to mention slow down a battle ship. The lack of missing both of his arms didn't stop Raiden from fighting ethier. Faster is debatable though. I can't decide which is faster. They seem to be the same speed. I kinda doubt his exoskeleton is stronger than Raidens though. Foxes was an older, and possibly first, model and Raiden turned into a cyborg ninja a few years prior to Guns of the Patroits which means they could have advanced the tech.
I still think Raiden though. That or they are roughly equal. It's your opion and everything though and I respect that. Not trying to sound like a "troll" if I am.

It's kind of hard to say though i guess. Grey Fox has more experience while Raiden is still kind of new. But Raiden is a bit faster and stronger then Grey Fox. So like what battosai matt said "That or they are roughly equal", even though i gave my vote to Grey Fox, they are evenly matched with tactics and power.

If we're going to sit here debating strength and speed I'd have to go with Raiden. He was much younger when he got his suit and the exoskeleton was made out of more advanced hardware and software. It's never said how much of Fox was left intact so we have to assume that he still had most of his original body unlike Raiden who only had his head and spine. The thing about Fox is that he had experience so there were a lot of things already imprinted to memory which made him do all the things he did at Shadow Moses. Plus both men were being enhanced with drugs and nanomachines. And what? No Olga? Let's not forget that she did pretty good holding her own against Ocelot and his men.

No she doesn't compared to ethier Grey Fox or Raiden shes almost nothing. Not to mention she did much less than Raiden. Hell she might not even be a cyborg. It's never stated that she ever got transplants. I don't think Olga would last a second aginst Raiden. Or Fox for that matter. Not to mention Grey Fox was unable to take a stomp from REX where as Raiden could stop and slow down a whole ship for a bit. Granted he had a better exoskeleton but still.
I don't know about that. Did his body fall on a landmine because I can't remeber. If so than he probably got most of his body redone. In terms of swordsmanship I'd give it to Raiden. Considering he didn't even need his arms in order to weild them.

Rath-Kun Sure Raiden saved Snake, but Gray Fox sacrificed his life for Snake. Hands down Gray Fox, his cut scene in the original Metal Gear Solid and the remade one in MGS: Twin Snakes where he killed the guards was phenomenal
