HEY! So... it's been announced that there are going to be auditions for 10th gen MoMusu. I'm still not happy about 10th gen~ if anything, they should be added to 9th gen. Cause when JunLin joined it was roughly 8 months after Aika joined and they were added to 8th gen : / so the two new members should still technically be 9th gen >>;; I don't know... it's just too soon for me. I know that Maki had two singles before 4th gen was announced and so did Aika but still. 9th gen just joined and they already have the member to replace Ai-chan, a genki member, an ugly ducking and a quiet member. It feels like it's really soon, but I guess if you think about it, it's not any sooner than previous auditions...
(Junjun and Linlin were technically added as exchange students. They were included in the 8th generation, because they were a special case. They couldn't be a 9th generation, since they knew from the beginning that they would have to leave when their visas expired.)
Before the lineup froze for three years, a new generation was added every year. That means, auditions were announced shortly after a generation was added. The second generation was added just after the group's major debut.
Think about it -- the 9th gen auditions were started in August. The winners were announced in January. So the 10th generation will probably be announced in December. The 9th gen's second single comes out around when auditions begin. They'll probably release one or two more before the tenth gen is involved. That's not an unusual amount of time for Morning Musume.
Personally, I'm looking forward to it. The 9th gen was such a huge change for Morning Musume, so it'll be nice to have a smaller generation to remind us that Morning Musume IS about a constantly changing line up. And I like that the group size is increasing. I didn't like that they were staying at nine. Morning Musume's best years were when they had thirteen, fourteen, fifteen members. This could break them from the rut they're in.

well everyone knows that momusu will need something extra to fall back on when ai--a person of natsumi magnitude--so at least we can see less of a huge drop in popularity/sales/etc. and from what i see, the public really wants new, popular groups now. adding more new members would be like making a mini extra debut for the group. Btw, AKB is always in the media for one reason or another, at least this way, we can guarantee Momusu will be guaranteed to be in the media once a year if this continues wink seeing them both will just be a win situation for me
My only complaint is that the 9th gen minus riho will end up being another aika. by that i mean get a s**t ton of promo at first, but disappearing and fading away within the group. they're obviously going to have an ace in that generation what will that mean for my KYpon? and considering all the cash (which time and time again has been said to be very little) will be spent toward the rest of the tenth gen, its going to really suck.
New girls are always welcome though, imo. i only like KY, and considering she got like NOTHING in Only You, i'll need another favorite. No one can replace kohajun though, just sayin'.
