The Raccoon City Airport
PostPosted: Fri May 13, 2011 8:08 pm

Rin stood in front of the luggage carousel. All of the different bags going around and around. She hadn't told her brother that her flight had come into Raccoon City, instead of Boulder, so she decided she would take a cab, and surprise him. After her brother lost his fiance in an accident, he had been depressed. She wanted to cheer him up, and thats why she was coming down to visit. As soon as her bag finally circled over to her, she quickly grabbed it. Smiling to herself as she quickly got into a cab, and now headed for Raccoon City. Oblivous to the horror that was happening.

SHiloe yawned as he opened his eyes, grateful for what little rest he could get. He chose to ignore Kylana's comment as he cracked his neck and check his ammo. Content he opened the door of the car and slowly stepped out. There were a couple infected roaming about but nothing to serious in the immediate area that he could see. "Let's just hope we lost tall dark and tentically" he said

Kylana got out of the car and stretched. She looked at Shiloe at his comment, but said nothing. The sound of the car had caught the ear of the zombies that roamed around the yard, but compared to their nemesis back at the police station, combined with Kylana's low morale, it was hard to resist just ignoring them altogether. But they were still dangerous-just a scratch would be the death of someone.
Kylana let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. "Plan is to sneak in without alerting anything inside, then barricade the doors and kill everything inside until we reach the top, that's not a dumb plan, right?"

Shiloe caught sight of two infected making their way over to them. Gun fire would just draw more attention so he decided against dropping them. Instead he slowly back peddled towards the airport terminal. "You know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men" He offered, not taking his eyes off the zombies. "But you've got no argument from me"

Parker moved through the airport; looking around hopelessly for the other he'd come here with; hoping to find him safe. He held the drawn switchblade against his own chest as he rounded a corner, only seeing flickering lights, bouncing down upon a group of infected that hadn't seen him just yet. He searched them from the safety of his hiding place to make sure he didn't recognize any. Thankfully none matched the face he'd been searching for, not that it was easy to tell.
He shouldn't have come here, he knew what he was running into; unarmed and without any safe clothing.

"Often go askew. How cute.." Kylana jogged to keep up with Shiloe, a little glad for the challenge ahead of them. Nothing to get your mind off of zombies like more zombies.

They made it inside without a confrontation, and she looked around the main room, instantly regretting her previous thought. There had to be a couple dozen of bodies standing around, with twice as many sprawled out on the ground-If they were about to change or had already been put down, she couldn't tell.
"Hell. Bad idea.." She backed outside and bumped into something that moaned. A short bark of a scream erupted from her without time for her to stop herself from the noise. she thought, "They already know we're here." She raised her gun and shot the zombie point blank in the side of the head.

Shiloe jumped slightly when he heard the scream and spun on his heel as the shot went off. "Son of a b***h" he mumbled as more and more of the infected began to note their presence. Quickly he turned and put rounds into the heads of the two zombies he'd been keeping his eye on. They hit the ground with a wet thud as Shiloe jogged over to Kylana. He grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the terminal. "Save the ammo and just move" he barked

Kylana spun and ran with Shiloe as they put distance from the entrance of the building. She hadn't been sure how many would be in the airport, but that was just too much with the limited amount of guns and people they had. She hoped that no other poor people tried to use the same plan and go in there.
Kylana followed Shiloe, feeling that he knew where he was going. More than she did, at least. A zombie stumbled out in front of her and she tried to shove her out of the way, but the zombie grabbed onto her arm and they both tumbled to the ground. The momentum that Kylana had built while running sent her rolling a few feet past the zombie woman. Kylana rose, shaking from the adrenaline rushing through her, and stomped her foot into the woman's skull. No time to throw up. She ran to catch up with Shiloe again.

Shiloe jogged at a steady pace with one hand against the chain link fence. In areas where the light became dim he picked up the pace to a sprint in order to be out of the darkness. Up ahead he saw a break in the fence where the gate was located. Again he picked up speed and his boot pounded against the pavement as he got close and closer. Quickly he vaulted over the downed gate and stopped, breathing heavy, before checking to make sure Kylana was still with him.

Kylana caught up with Shiloe a minute later, giving him a chance to breathe at least. She leaned against the fence post nearest her with her arm as she surveyed the area around them. They made it good distance away from the main airport building. If any zombies were following after them from there, she couldn't tell. There were some stumbling toward them from farther out in the yard, though still a distance away. Kylana wiped the sweat from her forehead with her arm. "I hated cardio training.." she panted.

((It's cheap and sub par, I'm sorry, but holy crap am I out of it and tired.))

"Had I known I'd ever be in this situation, I think I would've trained a lot harder" Shiloe said, catching his breath. He looked around and slowly started off towards the hangers. He pulled the toque off of his head before tossing it away and was grateful for the cold breeze that cooled him down slightly. "I saw some messed up s**t when I was in the army but it can't really hold a candle to this. I mean, what the ******** was Umbrella thinking? they can't possibly expect to get away with infecting an entire city can they?

Kylana suddenly crouched down and held up the signal for Shiloe to halt. There were zombies roaming around the yard, but they seemed to get denser the closer they got to the hangars. Most of them haven't seemed to notice them yet, but they had a few zombies worked up onto their tail like the game Snake, and though slow, they were still getting closer to Shiloe and herself. They didn't have much time to think. Kylana studied the hangars and noticed one with the Raccoon City news van outside of it. She prayed that it was the right hangar for the news crew, and that the chopper was actually inside of it. She pointed out her findings to Shiloe and readied her gun, then took off for it, hoping she wasn't just grabbing at loose straws with this one.

"Gun shots? God, are people really out there right now?" She said out loud to herself.

She took a step out of the hangar with the news van by it, and saw two people running to it, she waved toward herself, motioning them to hurry and showing them that she wasn't a zombie. She stepped out of the way, pulled out her gun and shot the two closest zombies as the two people ran past her and into the hangar.

"What the hell were you two thinking," She shouted, slamming the doors closed and latching the locks on them "running through the garden of zombies out there?" She questioned. "You guys aren't going to survive long here if you don't scout the area before you just go running in." She said in a warning tone.

"Here," she said opening a toolbox, "take what you need. I don't have much, but no doubt you're short on ammo. Just, if you have any, I could use some .32 Colt rounds."

Kylana saw the doors to her destination burst open and a female motioned for them to come to her. She finished crossing the yard, having no time to look back at Shiloe while she evaded the infected in her way. After they made it inside and the woman slammed the doors, Kylana narrowed her eyes at her. "It looks like we're saving your a**. Seems there are a few dozen of the things that followed you here and refuse to leave the area, do you realize that?" She looked the girl up and down and frowned. She sat down on an upturned bucket and rested her elbows on her legs.
A scent caught her nose and she frowned harder, looking over at the news chopper. It looks like the last of the fuel was dribbling out and into a bucket. There wasn't much in the bucket, it seemed someone must have put it there not too long ago. She let out a heavy sigh and dropped her head as the infected outside scraped and pushed against the door to their prison.
