A dark, stone castle stood piercing the night. The moon was high above it, watching. Inside the castle, guard after guard stood in a line around the throne room. They had spears and swords, all drawn and ready. Behind the thick, iron door, and it's guards, were the King and Queen. "Are they coming?" Asked the Queen. Her eyes seemed to glow a light blue, but were shaking in fear.
"I-I don't know." Said the King in a low tone. His hand held hers. "If they come, we'll be safe. The guards are prepared." Said the King.
"But-"
A scream echoed down the hall, making the King and Queen flinch. The scream continued, and soon more screams mixed in. The sounds of metal striking stone could barely be hard. The sound of iron suits of armor dropping to the ground only added to their fears. Soon, all was silent. The King and Queen sat and waited. They listened, the low sound of nails scratching on the walls outside could be heard. It grew louder as it seemed to get closer, and lower as it grew farther. The two waited, the sound was menacing, the wait was worse. The nails stopped, all was silent once more. Then blood began to ooze out from the walls and the large throne door. The King and Queen stayed quiet, the King held the Queen's hand tightly as he reached his other hand to his side.
He pushed his robe aside and grabbed a hilt. He slowly pulled the shining rapier out from it's sheath, and held it tightly. He pointed the tip at the sword, he couldn't hold it steady though, he was shaking too much. The fear was getting a hold of him. The silence only made it worse. A screech suddenly erupted as more blood steadily flowed out through the cracks in the walls and door. It's screech grew louder and louder with every second. Suddenly, the door began to make some noise. It slowly opened. The two nobles sat on their throne, watching in horror as the door opened to reveal their murderer.
A blood red creature stood behind the door. It's pitch black nails stretched out from it's fingers. It's big, black beady eyes watched the two carefully. It's fangs were stained with crimson. It then grinned, revealing more of the fangs. It then lunged forward, a shout escaped the two as it's nails impaled them both. The rapier fell to the ground, it's tip chipped. The creature withdrew it's claws, and stepped back. The King and Queen fell over into their puddle of blood. The creature snickered as it backed away. It glanced around the room, and it's grin soon disappeared. It walked around the room, then the halls. Nothing. The creature hissed at the sky. It soon melted into a shadow, and was gone. Blood leaked through the cracks on the outer walls of the castle. By morning, the dark, stone castle was streaked in red. Two people, a man and woman, approached the castle.
"So this is the place?" Said one. He wore ragged clothing, with a sword and a buckler on his back. His dark hair hung above his eyes as he eyed the castle. He looked to be sixteen.
"You see the blood, don't you?" Said another. She was clothing similar to his, but less tattered. Her long brown hair stretched down her back, and stopped at her waist. She looked to be the same age. She wore a sword on her back as well.
"Was just wondering," mumbled the man. He eyed it. "Soyen, it's going to come back tonight."
"Of course, I know that." Said the woman, who was revealed to be Soyen. "You scared, Benkei?" Asked Soyen with a grin.
"Nah, a man mustn't act scared in front of a woman. My bravery is fueled by my chivalry." Said the man, who was Benkei.
"Cut the chivalry stuff, you know that kind of stuff is sexist." Said Soyen with a dignified tone. "We protect each other, we help each other, no one is taking the leading and defending role."
"Fine, fine." Said Benkei as he rubbed the back of his head. "So you ready? We gotta check the bodies inside to make sure we're dealing with the right thing."
"Alright, let's go in then." Said Soyen with a grin.

TO BE CONTINUED! XD (I don't know if I really will though, I type for the fun of it, but it's nice for them to be read, though I know they aren't. I'm going to start posting on another forum site, since I've come across as a little more mature on that site somehow XD)

Benkei and Soyen entered castle slowly. Both stayed close as they eyed their surroundings. Dark blue tapestry hung from the stone walls, but crimson stains ruined them. The long royal rugs were blood red, small dots of black could be seen beside the red, showing it's old, true color. Soyen looked away as they passed torn limbs that lied in a puddle of blood. As they traveled up the spiraling tower, they glanced inside the rooms. Some doors had thick claw scratches on them. Others were complete destroyed with little pieces of wood lying on the ground. The stench of death grew stronger as they traveled higher up.
"This is horrible." Said Soyen as they passed dead bodies. Their armor and chain mail was destroyed. Skulls were smashed in, limbs were missing, dried blood stained the walls.
"Yah...but this sight mustn't keep us from advancing." Said Benkei as he tried to look away from the corpses. "We're almost to the throne room."
They walked a little further and then came to a large metal door. The bottom of it was soaked in blood. Benkei kicked the metal door in, and saw the carcasses of the King and Queen lying in their own puddles of blood. The King's rapier was at his side. The wounds were unmistakable, a small red glow surrounded the wounds, unlike the others.
"So it really did come." Said Soyen.
"Yep, and, " Benkei kicked the throne chair, it cracked and fell over, revealing a small hole. He reached in and pulled out an amulet. "It didn't find it, the King was right to hide it."
"But if he used it, he might of survived." Said Soyen.
"No, remember when he talked to us before? He said the amulet didn't work." Said Benkei. "But he was amazing at predicting." Said Benkei as he scratched his head. "He was only a day off from the actual day it was going to come."
Soyen was quiet, she looked around the room. "You know it's going to come back tonight, to find the amulet."
"Yah..." Benkei looked at the amulet and handed it to Soyen. "That's why we need to prepare."

Dark clouds lolled in the sky above the castle. Darkness shrouded the area, a lone torch was lit inside the throne room, where Benkei and Soyen waited. They both sat crouched beside each other with their weapons sheathed, but their hands on the hilts of their swords. The amulet hung around Soyen's neck. She would rub her hand against it from time to time as she and Benkei waited. After almost a hour of waiting, a horrible screech was heard. It echoed through out the hall and into the throne room. They both jumped up immediately, their weapons drawn. They heard claws scrapping against the wall outside, the noise growing louder and closer with every second. The throne doors suddenly turned to ash, behind it was the creature. It's claws were raised and it lunged forward. Benkei and Soyen both side stepped, causing the creature to skid behind them. They both turned around swiftly and swung their swords. The creature blocked both blades with it's claws. It hissed as he attempted to bite Benkei's wrist. He quickly jumped back, and the creature grinned as it turned it's attention at Soyen. It's other claw was raised and lunged at her. Blood dripped to the floor as it's hand fell, the claws made a small click noise as they hit the ground. It screeched in pain as it stepped back, Benkei sword dripped of the creature's blood.
"You okay?" Asked Benkei to Soyen.
"I could of still blocked it." Said Soyen as she looked away. "But thanks."
"Hehe, well, we have it's blood now." Said Benkei as he lifted his sword, letting the blood slide down the steel blade. "Dip your sword into it, and we'll be ready."
"Alright." Said Soyen as she rubbed her sword against the pile of blood. The creature was growling as it rubbed it's bloody arm. It hissed at them, it's stare was filled with hatred. Benkei held his sword far to his side, as did Soyen. The blades then began to glow as the two chanted something. The once silvery steel blades turned pitch black. The hilt changed to a be somewhat spiky. "So it is a demon." Said Soyen a little surprised.
"Yep, that means we need to kill it fast." Said Benkei with a grin. They gripped their changed swords with both hands, and rushed in at the beast. It howled and charged at them. It blocked both blades with it's claws. A small grin grew on Benkei's face. Small blades began to branch out of the swords. They grew rapidly, and towards the demon. The small blades pierced through it's arms and chest. It hissed as it took a step back. It's blood began to boil behind them, and bubble. The demon hissed a threat and fell to the ground, and began to pool of hot blood. The two stood, and watched their swords return to normal.
"That went well." Said Benkei with a quick laugh.
