This is something that I want any people who want to join the guild to read, since there have been certain issues with new members that I feel need to be looked at. Before you join this guild and make your character, you should ask yourself these questions:

1. Do I know about Role-Playing?
In short, Role-Playing is a form of improv acting with rules attached (namely, rules of the universe you're role-playing in and the limits of what your character can and cannot do). In doing this, you, the player, should keep yourself separate from the Character, and you should also always keep in mind what your character would do in certain situations rather than what YOU would do, which brings me to the next question...

2. Do I know about Character Creation?
There's a certain tabletop RPG of note that I believe has the best way to go about this, and I'll list steps in making your character (aside from the profile). First, think of a concept for the character. By concept, think of how you would describe the character in 4 words or less (I.E., Walking Mirror, Hotheaded Fighter, Dispassionate Killer, etc.). From this concept, build your character's personality and their talents, but do not, I repeat, do NOT make them overly skilled or talented. For one thing, it's not realistic, even for this universe, and for another, it'll only be frustrating to other Role-Players. Now that you've accomplished all of that, you can now give your character their Mage Powers (Or some sort of Magic Power; it's pretty clear in this world that those without magic are at an almost ridiculous disadvantage, so the Rune Knights are the closest thing you can get to a warrior kind of character). Make sure that these powers actually make sense, and elaborate on what kind they are. For Example, some people would put "Fire" as their power. What kind of fire? Is it the Dragon Slayer Fire that enhances physical prowess? Is it the Magical Violet Fire that can change its consistency at the will of the mage using it? Also, keep in mind that your character will only really specialize in ONE kind of magic. That's how it is for every character in the story, and that's how it is in the Fairy Tail universe (Any other magic should be performed with the aid of a magical item). Remember that your character is HUMAN. They WILL have most of the normal weaknesses of humans, unless they use some sort of body-changing magic, but even then, they will have other problems aside from the normal fare. Also, BEWARE OF SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE SYNDROME. Special Snowflake Syndrome is when you try way too hard to make your character unique and interesting, but all you do is make a character that's not only totally implausible for the setting, but also an enormous pain to other role-players who are being bashed over the head with how special your character is. You do not need to go great lengths to make your character unique, so please don't distort the reality of this world just because you want your character to be different.

3. Do I know about the world of Fairy Tail?
This question is one that I'm surprised anyone joining the guild should ever ask, but because of certain occurrences, it does bear addressing. The Fairy Tail story takes place mostly in the Kingdom of Fiore, where Mages trade and sell magic and offer their skills on commissions given to them by the general populace. Mages generally have to join guilds in order to supplement their incomes since almost all requests and commissions are given to guilds as a whole, not to individual people. As I mentioned earlier, Mages only have one specialty of Magic upon which they expand upon to massive degrees (Yes, even the most powerful mages focus on ONE kind of Magic, though spells like Fairy Law are something different and can only be learned by people who've earned the title of Wizard Saint). However, this focus will make other forms of magic practically impossible for the mage to use unless he's being helped with magical items (and even then, it will be a very low-quality spell).

If you can answer all these questions with an honest, "Yes," then go ahead and join the guild! If not, take some time to look up some guides on Role-Playing, Character Creation, or read up on the Fairy Tail Wikia... Or better yet, watch some Fairy Tail subbed or read the Manga. Thank you for your time!
