Why not? Is it that it will kill them or it is unreliable, or even that it simply can't analyze 2 people at a time?

Honestly I do not get it at all... other than for the stories sake that is.

All the other Ancient stasis pods that we have come across whether they be in the Atlantic outpost inside The Aurora or on Atlantis itself have always been just big enough for one person. And while the pods on Destiny do seem to be quite a bit bigger I would assume that the tech works the same over the many years that the Ancient's had to dev it.

In the real world it was a plot device to make the ending a bit more dramatic and less happily ever after if that makes any sense.

Yeah, those pods were massive. It looks like they are fairly tall too, meaning you could, if you were desparate enough, fit 3 small people, one being on someone's shoulders. I think I might be taking it a little too serious, but it was fairly big for a single person pod. Maybe the energy that would be drawn from it would be counter-productive in comparison to one per pod. who knows, and it isn't on anymore sad
