Harmonia: -Has once again spent the day trying to gather something for her "offering" pile. Today she seemed to have come up short though, having found nothing exciting or useful for an offering she decided to make her way back to her pile. If she couldn't find anything new she could always rearrange her old findings in a more presentable manner for the monster! "He'll be so excited once he finally sees all my gifts!" she exclaimed in her usual sing-song voice as she pranced off in the direction of the pile.-

Enola Gay: *sometimes it is boring being a monster. sometimes, you just want to have a good ol' scare. it is a guilty pleasure of Enola's, but hey it's not like he can do much else. the mutant make his way through the forest, by now very familiar with it, having left the deeper parts and now gradually getting closer to the main clearing where the normal herla often congregate and live their easy, boring lives. bitter? Enola? of course not!*

Harmonia: -Getting back to her offering pile, Harmonia gently nosed the pile of corpses, attempting to sort the odd collection. She had almost finished making her pile more presentable when she heard the approaching footsteps of someone. Not even bothering to think it could be anyone else but, her beloved monster she quickly snatched up a dead bird from the pile. The bird hanging from her mouth wasn't exactly the most impressive gift ever but, she hoped it would do. Man this sure was going to be awkward if this incoming creature wasn't the bodysnatching monster, what with her body practically shaking with excitement and all.-

Enola Gay: *normally, fawns are enola's favorite herla to encounter, either to scare or to admire. in the latter case, the prettier the better, and this fawn is gorgeous for one so young. she has left him speechless, in fact, though not so much because of her beauty as the fact that she was carrying a dead bird in her mouth. enola is immediately taken aback, remembering the yearling he had met that also carried a dead bird. was... was this a fad among young hinds?! his jaw works uselessly as he struggles to find words, though in the back of his mind enola is at least thankful his sister was not a young fawn when this disgusting craze started. he certainly would not allow gnash to partake, no sir, little girls should not play with dead things and now, confusion mixes with appalled anger as enola finally chokes out (almost literally) an indignant* what.

Harmonia: -Harmonia's eyes went wide when approaching creature came into view. That skinless face, those eyeless sockets, those mismatching legs and tail, this had to be him! In another second she was as close as she could possibly get to him, bird still in mouth. "I broufth you fthis birfth!" she exclaimed, not bothering to take the feathery thing out of her mouth before talking. Gently she set it down in front of him, nosing it slightly closer to his feet. "Oh I hope you like it Mr. Bodysnatching Monster! I've waited so long to meet you!" She quivered with excitement before jumping up and returning to her offering pile, grabbing up a battered snake to bring to him next.-

Enola Gay: *enola felt a flash of pleasure when he saw the fawn's eyes widen--but that hardly lasted, as she actually began to approach him fearlessly, a foolish trait sadly all-too common in herla these days. the nerve! he began to hiss, almost disappointed in the daft child, hardly registering that she was trying to say something. he even lifted a hoof to crush the damn bird, though he froze in the action, her next words ringing loud and clear. he felt suddenly very disturbed, and slowly lowered his hoof. the only herla that had called him "bodysnatching monster" was his sister. this fawn knew that name, knew him, and even wanted to meet him? enola's stolen legs quivered, though the rest of him stood completely still as he watched her go to wow okay was that a pile of--nevermind, no more, he barked out in a painful-sounding, throaty voice* Stop. Come here.

Harmonia: -Watching the monster for a moment Harmonia continued dragging the snake over to him until he called out for her. She let out an excited gasp and pranced over to his side again forgetting all about the snake she had planned on giving him just moments ago. "I'm back Mr. Bodysnatching Monster! Did you need something? I can get it for you, anything you need. A-n-y-t-h-i-n-g." She drew out the last word still quivering with excitement. She wanted to make a good impression and oh she hoped he liked her! She snuggled up to one of his front legs, not knowing that there was such a thing as personal space. "I caught all those animals for you. It's a shame they've all stopped moving but, I hope you still like them!"-

Enola Gay: *glad that she at least left the snake behind, though her... eager manner did nothing to help his growing agitation. he pulled his mangled ear back when she said That Name again, and although he might have been thrilled by the offer in any other circumstance, seeing this child prance about... well, it was unsettling, even for him. although he could not actually feel the young hind against his leg, he nearly flinched back like it burned, surprised. well at least this way he could get a better look at her, and he craned his neck, lifting his stolen legs away from her. she was gorgeous, and her hair! momentarily distracted, enola admired it, wanting to bury his nose in it, smell it, take it in... no, no, now was not the time for that. and besides, he had no nose or sense of smell to speak of. enola gave another hiss is frustration. he originally suspected that this fawn was gnash's child, but the idea was preposterous. gnash did not seem pregnant when he had last seen her, and she would have sought him out and told him if she did have fawns. right? besides, this child looked nothing like her. so how did she know him?!* What use. Would I have. For these. *he looked back at the dead bird with distaste as he snapped at her, or as much as he could snap with his stilted words. anyway those dead things weren't the point! he turned his attention back to the child, realizing he still hadn't moved away* ...... *pulls back from her, then continues* How. Do you. Know me.

Harmonia: -Harmonia slowly curled around the monster's leg, a gleeful expression on her face. She had finally found him and oh he was just like she had imagined! He hoped he would like her gifts, approve of them. Catching animals was hard work after all! She stayed curled around his leg until he spoke and even then it took awhile for what he had just said to sink in. "You don't like them?" Quickly uncurling herself from his leg and backed up, ears drooping down and with them her expression. "...I thought you'd want their body parts...but I'll promise to do better next time! I promise I'll find you whatever you want." She quivered again but, this time from her incoming tears. He didn't like her. He hated her! She sniffled trying to dispel her crying, realizing the monster was asking another question. "...Know you?" She thought for a moment, trying to remember that Cracker Hind's name. ...Oi...Ois! That was it! Sniffing again Harmonia replied in a softer tone then usual. "Her name was Ois and she had a bird named Cracker! She told me not to go into the deep forest because I might run into you but, I really wanted to see you, to meet you."-

Enola Gay: *looks back at the pile, pile would you believe it, disgusted that this fawn apparently collected them, knew what he did, and even intended for him to take the parts. add "offended" to the myriad of emotions Enola felt now. he would have rolled his eyes if he had any* No. Good effort. Just. *stares. how would he wait a snake?* ...Too small. *wait, what was he saying? he couldn't believe he was trying to comfort her. and he shouldn't be encouraging her! letting out an annoyed wheeze, brown legs curling in unease, Enola only growled when she mentioned that Mort hind. right. he should have known. these crazy hinds and their dead birds... Ois was probably the very same that had corrupted this child into thinking dead birds were fashionable! deplorable. at least she had the good sense to warn others though. she had obviously learned. Enola drew closer, wondering if the fawn would cry further. he wasn't sure if he wanted that or not* She. Was right. *he was about to start with his whole monster shtick, that he should be avoided and monsters were dangerous and so on, but somehow, staring down at her, he got the feeling she would not listen. that pile would probably be forever in the back of his mind. and he certainly didn't want to attack her... she was too beautiful to blemish just yet. he wanted her. any part of her. but her hair, oh that would be especially nice~ right! to the bottom of this! most of all, Enola did not want to drive the child away just yet because he was curious* ...Why. Did you want. To meet me.

Harmonia: -Pricking up her ears again, Harmonia listened. "Too small?" She thought on this for a second. Bigger as in another Herla? She wasn't to sure she could exactly catch one of those. Unless, unless it were another fawn or maybe, just maybe she could lure an older Herla to her monster. It was probably better to ask on this though first, get down exactly what he wants. "What would you want me to get you, Mr. Bodysnatcher? Like I said before I'll get you anything you want!" She was visibly cheering up again, seemingly having completely forgotten that she had been crying only a few minutes earlier. She pranced back over closer to the monster, tempted to curl around his leg again but, thinking better of it at least for now. "Well I don't think she was right." She paused, staring up into his eyeless sockets. He seemed to be interested. In what she wasn't sure yet but, still that was a good sign! "Meet you?" Truth is she wasn't exactly sure herself. Something had just drawn her to seek him out, most likely because of her own morbid curiosity. "You just seemed so interesting. I just wanted to see you for myself but, also I kind of was hoping we could be friends! I know you probably get this a lot being so cool and all but, I'll be the best friend ever I promise!"-

Enola Gay: *again with the offer. and was Mr. Bodysnatcher going to be official now? Enola could have groaned. he was glad that there was at least no sign of his guardian, he could only imagine what Neal would have to say. he ignored her question. he would not take part in further corrupting this fawn. she seemed to be a monster in the making herself, and for a moment, Enola had the idea to put her down before she became just as bad--though the thought didn't last long as she stared into his sockets. oh, her eyes, they were absolutely captivating. if not her hair, Enola thought, these eyes would do. he only broke their gaze when he realized what the child had said, shaking his head and turning away with a throaty snarl. of course, what it always comes down to. thinking that he could be a friend. this child was as stupid as misguided as the rest, and the mutant suddenly whipped around again, raising a hoof or three to strike her* Mistake. Monsters. Do. Not. Make Friends. *Enola was finding it harder than usual to speak, his wrecked throat throbbing with the effort of choking back emotion. the mutant was horrified to think that he, apparently the object of this child's obsession, had driven her to collect these animals and seek him out instead of living a normal fawnhood. if she could not reform, he would have to kill her. and he would have to kill Mort for her part in this. and then he would go back to his sister. he needed his sister right now. the hooves looming over the fawn began to quiver in barely-suppressed rage* For. Get. Me.

Harmonia: -Harmonia watched her monster curiously. She wished she could get inside his head, know what he was thinking. He seemed so troubled though, it never dawned on her that this might be because he was a monster. She began to take a dainty step forward, to comfort him, only to be snarled at within the next second. Shock hit her momentarily, realizing that this wasn't going to be as easy as she had hoped. She seemed to have heightened his anger somehow instead of helping him and rather then being afraid she was overwhelmed with guilt. Rather then turning and fleeing though she laid down on the ground, nearly below he raised hooves. She was scared yes but, she didn't want to leave his side even in this moments. "No. I won't forget you. If you must then you can stomp me or even...kill me." She paused on that last part momentarily. She really didn't want to die but, if she couldn't help him, befriend him then what good was she.-

Enola Gay: *she was just going to accept it. he stared down at the fawn, who was going to die by his hoof because she could not be his friend. he, a monster. when she should be out playing with other fawns. she should be normal and happy. he wondered if she even had a family. as Enola stared at her, suddenly dazed, his hoof lowered. the stolen legs relaxed, dropping even, brushing against her. he wondered if she was lonely. such a pretty fawn should not be sad. it would be a shame to lose the sunset. Enola felt suddenly exhausted, a shuddering, bloodied breath starting in his chest and escaping silently from his stained, leaking jaws. he was weak. he could not hurt her. slowly sinking to the earth, Enola wondered if there was anything he could do. there was no getting rid of the girl without damning himself further or outright hurting her. if he accepted her, she would become more tainted. there was no redemption for either of them, he was a monster. Enola folded his legs as he shakily settled, grass hissing, burning away where the toxic waste streamed from his sockets as he lay his head down. they were as empty as ever as the mutant stared beyond her, voice hoarser than usual, hardly above a whisper* If. I say. You can. Stay. Will. You. Smile.

Harmonia: -Staring up at him, Harmonia braced. He was going to actually do it, he was going to kill her. She closed her eyes, expecting it to be over at any second...then nothing? Had it already happened, was she already dead and it had just happened to fast for her to feel it? Slowly she relaxed, opening one eye and then the other. He seemed to be settling down, laying down even. It was quiet, the soft hiss of the grass as he lay down being the only noise in the desolate forest. It was strangely comforting. She watched the monster, his head now laying on the sizzling ground. Though her sober mood was only replaced when he spoke again. Those were the words she had been waiting for this whole time. The biggest smile crossed her face as she scooted closer to him. "Oh course I'll smile! And I promise, promise I'll be the best friend ever!" She scooted even closer, laying her head down again. Had this monster had a nose Harmonia's own nose probably would have been touching it. "So what's your name Mr. Bodysnatcher? Unless of course that is your real name and then that's cool too!" In her own giggling fangirl moment she forgot to tell him her own name.-
