Breeding is a really hard thing to do. You have to have space, time, money, and homes for 100+ fry ready to go. Each fry needs its own container after a few weeks,or they will fight and you will lose them like crazy. All these containers need to be cleaned every day, and the temp in that room needs be very high.
You also need to be breeding for a purpous. Lets look at this way: Are you like a puppy mill, that is mass breeding for money, are you just breeding for fun, or are you a professional dog breeder that wants to better and continue the breed?
The first one is a huuuge no-no. The second one, is kind of ok, but only for a time or two, and you must be responsible as to where your hard work ends up. The last one, in my oppinion, is they only reason to breed. Breed for better color, better fins, better form, what ever, just dont breed just to breed.
Breeding can be alot of fun, but its hard work, and its something to take seriously, thats all I'm trying to say. There are alot of professional breeders on FishLore.com and BettaFishForums.com, and alot of them have had several Best-in-Show's over the years, a few of them, have winning lines, that always end up with BIS. Check it out, and ask there. Just tell them Akari_32 sent you 3nodding
