 Fintan was bored. His parents were being boring, he hadn't seen his siblings in forever, and he hadn't any company in a while. He did so love company.
He let out a quiet sigh as he dipped his muzzle in the little stream that blocked his path; it wasn't very deep or very fast, he could walk across it easily, but he was thirsty at the moment, and tired from walking all day. It wasn't like he had anywhere to be, after all...
At least, he didn't have anywhere to be until he spotted the white figure against the little grove of trees across the stream. If his light blue eyes weren't deceiving him, that was a female.
A wicked grin spread across his face. He hadn't had any company in far too long.
Crossing the stream easily, splashing as he went Fintan approached the female, cocky grin still in place.
"Hello, miss. I've had a long day, and do you mind if I sit and enjoy the shade with you for a little while?" Always the charmer, Fintan offered an simple, unassuming grin and sat down; if she told him to leave, he wold try to argue his case at first, but even he knew a lost cause when it came close to smacking him in the face with a paw. "My name's Fintan. What lovely name did your parents give their lovely daughter?"
Yes, it was true. More than once, Fintant had been told he 'came on a little too strong'. Did that ever stop him? Of course not.

At this location, she saw a stream not too far and smiled. She would get a drink later, right now, she took a longer moment to recooperate. Settling under a shady branch, she licked at the spotted fur around her shoulder, grooming small dirt particles from it and pushing the fur down. Just because she was a wanderer, doesn't mean she had to look like a ragamuffin.
Once clean, she laid down to just enjoy her rest and the small cool breeze that blew over her. Little did Charlamagne know of the male nearby at the stream. It was when she heard another's voice, that she jumped lightly and looked to the source. Seeing the male, she smiled and sat up, her fluff of a tail waggling lightly. "Of course not, rest as long as you need to." She offered softly. Some color appeared on her cheeks when he questioned her for her name, but she still appeased his request. "My name is Charlamagne. It is a pleasure to meet you Fintan."

Fintan had to smile--Charlamagne. What an interesting name; he hadn't ever heard one quite like it before. However, he shook his head to clear it before the silence went on too long and focused back on her pretty emerald green eyes.
"The pleasure's mine," Fintan answered, dipping his head lightly. While he did so, he absently licked a paw clean of a bit of dirt, smoothing the maroon stripe down to where properly should have been.
"So how long have you been here?" he asked after a moment, eying her curiously once again. "It's a nice little place, right by the river." he commented, glancing around. The wind was blowing and making the trees whisper and shake; a comforting sound to Fintan. Idly, he wondered if this was her home, or if she was like him--just exploring the world until she found something she liked that would keep her rooted in one place.
So far, Fintan had been unsuccessful in his own little quest, aside from knowing his siblings and parents would take him in if ever he needed them to. He didn't plan on ever needing that, though, not if he could help it.

As he mused over her name, she watched the river serenely. She always enjoyed the water, whether she was just watching it or swimming in it, it was just a beautiful thing. Then again, everything on this planet was. She let out a happy sigh as she turned her attention back to the male.
She smiled warmly at him, watching him bow his head. She giggled softly when he groomed his paw. She could not groom herself in front of another, odd, she knew, but it was just a quirk of hers. But she wasn't going to stop him from doing so himself.
"Hm... oh not too long I suppose." She replied, looking back to the water, especially when a fish splashed the surface of it quickly, giggling softly. "Yes, it's very lovely." She stated softly, her short tail swishing gently behind her. As the wind blew, she closed her eyes, enjoying the soft, cool breeze over her spotted fur. She would love to find a territory of her own like this, especially near the river, but she would be happy with any place to call her own... but it would have to be large enough to support a future family she really wished the have.

"So you don't live here?" Fintan clarified, following her gaze to the river. It seemed like a perfectly nice place, which made him wonder if some family hadn't already claimed the land. It seemed doubtful, however, since this female was the only one he'd come across in quite some time, and it seemed like she would have said something if someone had already moved in.
"Seems like a good place to raise a family or somethin'," Fintan said, already rummaging his brain to find something else to talk about. "I guess the world's big and nice enough to leave some places unexplored," he said with a slight shrug.
That was when an idea struck him.
"Hey! Have you gone exploring yet? We should go exploring, see what's around!" Fintan said, a grin lighting his furry face. "Have you explored yet?"

At his question, she simply shook her head, though was smiling at the thought of living around here. Her little daydream was even going as far as trying to nit pick the details of what her perfect family would be; from her mate to the ideal amount of kits she would have. When he mentioned that the area would be a good place to raise a family, she looked to him and nodded. "Yes, I agree. A family would be lucky to have a prime location such as this."
Now, she wasn't against exploring, she's been doing it for most of her life really. But the thought of having one certain place to return to, to call home -that- that would be nice. So, his suggestion threw her for a small loop as she blinked at him. "E-excuse me?! Exploring? Well, no, can't say I have... at least, not in this area."

"We should," Fintan said, smiling brightly. "Because you're not lost if you have someplace to go back to," he looked around pointedly--this could totally be their home base--then back to her. "And it's always way more fun to explore with a friend than alone," he added, flashing another bright grin. He wouldn't know for sure, exactly, because he didn't usually stick around in one place long enough to make friends to go exploring with, or if he did, they usually parted ways after not that long.
But she was really pretty. Maybe it'd be different with her. Especially cause she seemed so nice.
"So, whatcha say, Charlie?" he asked, grinning wider and dropping playfully to the ground, his haunches waggling in the air excitedly. "Wanna explore with me?"
