Anything you know... I started to see him when he became Greed... (I had only read the first two manga chapters up until then.)
Now I wanna know everything you know...
like... does he EVER open his eyes?
And how do you pronounce the name of his country?

Ling...*fangirl sparkle* Okay, I'm not a fangirl. *sparkles fall like lead* Ling Yao is one of the emporor of Xing's (zing) many sons. His eyes are closed about 80&#xof; the time, he opens them upon feeling emotion, but they're usually closed. He, like Ed and Al, is in search of the Philosopher's Stone, only he wants to use it to stabalize Xing (once again, pronounced zing). Xing is very far east of Amestris, far east of Ishbal, near east of the great desert. It is FMA's equivilent to Asia. There they epecialize in medicinal alchemy. This is Ling. Ah, Ling.
Eodaiya basically got the most of it (but I -think- it might actually be pronounced 'Shing' because the Chinese 'x' tends to sound like a 'shi'. I could be wrong though)
Oh yeah, and he's 15. In case you wanted to know.

Eodaiya basically got the most of it (but I -think- it might actually be pronounced 'Shing' because the Chinese 'x' tends to sound like a 'shi'. I could be wrong though)
Oh yeah, and he's 15. In case you wanted to know. I was taking my best guess with the phonetic 'zing'. If no the 'zzz' sound, though, I'd thing it'd be a 'ching' though. Hm. As for Mei and Ling, I think the only real connection is that they're both from Xing. I don't think it ever mentions his {apparently} many brothers.

Ling is awesome. I didn't start liking his character until recentally... about chapter ... 47-ish? And now look what happened... crying
Ling is teh cool, and not only is he the same age as Ed and waaayyy taller (perhaps even taller than Russle Tringham?) but he's also a super cool moocher, who at one point when to jail for being an illegal immigrant (he didn't have his passport or something? I'm too tired to remember... X__x)
No worries, though --> he was broken out by Barry the Chopper (of all people) while going along in a much larger plot dealy..
And has no one mentioned Ran Fan?
*le tear* --> was Ran Fan for Halloween.
Ling's most loyal subject and probably the person who beleives and trusts Ling most is Ran Fan, who is currently arm-less. As you may or may not have noticed, The mention of Ran Fan was the only thing that triggered 'Greed' Ling's memory of who he used to be.
... and i'm too out of it to explain much more.

Oh, and I've been calling it ... (damn, how do I type this..) 'jshing' kinda.. (Xing) ... it's hard to explain over the internet.
