Team M O N O C H R O M EWalking down the halls, you see a door with Red and Blue splats of color, freshly added purple, light pink, and light purple ones as well. Its door split into two, with two knobs on it instead of one. Using the highest knob, about four or five feet of the ground, let you open the whole door, while the bottom knob, about three or two feet off the ground, let you open only the bottom half. Additionally, two strange pads, one light green and the other dark green, that looked like some kind of pedal was under the knob, a paw print on it. It was another way of opening the door that was made for four legged pokemon, upon stepping on the light green one, the highest knob clicked open, and upon stepping on the dark green, the lowest one clicked open. It looked very crude, but well thought out.
On the inside, it was like a mixture of things. All the walls were white, some drawings and colorful pawprints every here and there. A small sign was on every wall that stated 'draw on me!'. There were two bedrooms side-by-side, but only one seemed to be in use. There was a small kitchen with high counters, low counters, and spots built for four legged and no legged pokemon as well. There were some toys scattered across the floor and coloring books along with them, broken crayons with little tooth marks on them. Light shone on them through a window, where a six foot tall book case stood. It was odd looking, with claw marks on it and spots where there were lumps of wood sticking out. It seemed to have been carved out of an old tree recently, it still smelled of forest. Some books were on the shelves in alphabetical order, if you checked the inside covers you could see that there were names written in them, none of them belonging to the pokemon that lived there. A few wooden chairs were set up next to the book shelf, also freshly carved with soft pillows on them to keep from getting splinters. An open book sat on the arm of one of the chairs, title golden lettered but unreadable.
There was also what seemed to be a living room, a small couch with a carved wood table that had the remains of a board game on it, a radio with fuzzy reception to its side, it looked old and junky. The whole room seemed to be made of salvaged or old things, and yet it had a comfortable feel to it. For those that called this home, it was just what they needed.

Reds bed - A purple velvet pillow that is always clean, its very warm and soft. Its a mystery how Red got her paws on it, but ever since she was young she had used it as her bed. It was unnoticable, but there were some small marks where the pillow had been mended time and time again. Next to the pillow lies a silver brush and a pile of shiny stones, also mysterious as to how they were obtained. The stones seem to have spit and slobber all over them, maybe its a good idea not to touch those...
Blues bed - A huge mound of dirt had been put in the room, the top flattened out with a small hole in it, maybe too small for others but just perfect for a Sneasel. A bush of sharp steel wires was on the outside of the "bed", but other than that his personal items were all hidden inside of his "bed".
Purples bed - it looked like some kind of basket made of leaves and branches, a pile of soft and green leaves piled up inside of it. It is unknown weather purple has anything he keeps there, but sometimes what looks like the corner of a paper peeks out or a very dark branch from the pile of leaves.
The Ravens bed: Its a nest. Its made of rocks and shells. Theres a blanket and one very big, razor sharp shell. Theres also a jar of sand and a picture under it, but no ones seen what the picture looks like.
Goops bed: Goop doesn't sleep in a bed. Why? Because he's Goop. He seems to like the couch and any table he can reach, though. Oh, and the top of the book shelf.
Jays bed: Jay sleeps at the foot of a regular mattress with a blanket and a small pillow. He shares the bed with Vertigo, since its too big for the both of them.
Vertigos bed: Vertigo sleeps on the top half of her shared bed with Jay. She very much enjoys the fluffy footwarmer <3
Alaisdairs bed: Alaisdair doesn't sleep. Ever. He's too afraid of Jay, and so he drinks coffee all night to keep himself up. As such, he has become addicted.

( Red & Blue & Purple )Red and Blue sat on opposite sides of the couch, laughing as they threw game dice at each other. Purple was at the book shelf, reading one of the books he had taken from the top shelf. He was glad the shelf had a built in ladder on the side, or else he would have been in trouble.
Red stopped for a moment as she looked at the capsule on her collar, "The prize! I need to open it!" She exclaimed. Blue looked worried for a second, grabbing the capsule from her and holding it above his head. "Nope!" He said, throwing it expertly at the top bookshelf and watching it land and stay there, out of reach from a certain vulpix.
"Hey! What gives!" She whined. He sighed, going over to the spot where the teams mail was. Blue held up a notice and passed it over to Red, who read over it with some difficulty. "A tournament? What does that have to do with anything?" she asked. Blue looked at the ground, "I was thinking, and...I want to go"
Red looked shocked, and even Purple looked up from his book. Blue continued on the subject, however. "This is an amazing opportunity we have here. I want to represent for us, I know that Red is a good fighter and sometimes even more capable than me, and Purple is going to surprise us with some kind of hidden strength, I know it. But I've thought about it for awhile and its me that is going. If I get hurt along the way, then thats fine with me. But if one of you two get hurt...I couldn't bear it" He told them. Reds eyes swelled. "B-but..." "...but nothing."
"You've got guts, I'll give you that. Theres a fire in you, neither of us can match that determination. You know there will possibly be fighting types there that can easily tear through you, and yet you insist on doing this. I think you're a great choice"
The Rattata had closed his book now, marking his page with his hand. Red was torn apart, "And how do you think I feel! I mean, I might wanna go too" she said. It seemed like she was saddened and frustrated over not going, and her friend only smiled. "Don't worry. I've survived you, haven't I?" He told her with a wink. He looked over at Purple, "Watch her for me while I'm away. Make sure she doesn't get that capsule" He said, and with that he turned and left, a shocked Vulpix standing on the couch and looking after him as he did so.

( Red & Blue & Purple ) Blue gently knocked on the door, but he opened it anyways without even waiting for an answer. He walked in to find Red making disgusted faces, a bowl with some kind of green liquid in front of her. Blue curiously dipped the tip of a claw in, licking the little bit of liquid stuck onto it. He spit it out immediately, the bitter taste leaving itself behind in his mouth. "Arceus, what is that?" He said. She had her tongue out, "grinded up green stuffies, my mom taught me about them. If you ever got poisoned by a bug or burnt while playing she would get a ton of these herbs and make this stuff" She said. She sniffed it, turning away. "It smells and tastes terrible, and you can't carry the herbs themselves around because they don't do anything alone, and you need a bunch of them. It heals you all up, though, so I'll have to deal with it" She said. She took a deep breath and quickly lapped up what was left in the bowl, rubbing her tongue against the sofa when she was done to try and get the taste off.
Purple came out from the bathroom, what looked like toothpaste smeared all over his mouth. "Thats one heck of a remedy!" He said, cleaning the paste off of his mouth. He then took notice of the egg Blue had, "did you...?"
Blue blushed, "N-no! Its not like that, I swear!". Red smirked, slipping her tongue back into her mouth as she went over to Blue. "Ooo, Bluey has a girl friend!" she mocked. He kept blushing, "I-its not like that! T-this was a reward from our little ghostie fight, its not...ugh!" he put the egg down, storming off into his room as he shut the door behind him, the lock clicking shortly after. Red snickered, but Purple went over to the egg and looked at it all around. It was as big as him, maybe even bigger, so he didn't want to try and move it. He tapped it, "It'll be hatching sometime soon..." he said. He looked at it again, "I have no idea how to take care of an egg, Blue probably doesn't know either..." he looked over to Red, "Waddya lookin at me for!" she snapped. "Well, you are the only female..."
She was shocked, "Sexist!" she shouted. He shook his head, "You got it all wrong! I mean, usually its the female parent who sits with the egg, but I figure any female will do. You have that motherly instinct planted into you from birth" He said. She was furious, "I don't know nothing about hatching eggs! I can't raise no child!" she said, and she went away to the back of the couch.
Seconds later she came back, putting the egg on its side. "And I'll be taking this too. It'll die on your hands" She said. She rolled it over to the couch, rolling it up the side and onto it as she jumped up and curled herself around it. "We'll take shifts. I'll watch Eggbert now, and later either you or Blue will get him. I can't sleep on a couch, you know, and my cushion can't hold an egg. Besides, sleeping in this position would be murder to my back" she said. She turned on the radio nearby, it was too fuzzy to tell just what music was on but she seemed to like it. And thus, the egg/Eggie/Eggbert McFiddlywinkle Don Tinkle's saga begins...

( Red )Egg Watch - Reds Shift Red kicked blue out of their room, bringing her and Eggbert into it and shutting the door. "My turn to watch him!" she said as she locked the door.
She put the egg on top of her pillow, sitting down and looking at it. "What should I do with you now..." she pondered. Sudden;y, she grinned, an idea coming into mind. "Coloring time!" she said, going over to get her markers and crayons. She could hear Blue on the other side, "Are you sure you don't want me to take over for you?" He asked, now slightly concerned about the eggs saftey. Red blew a raspberry from the other side of the door, "Oh boo. Let me do things my way, you get your turn when I'm done. Besides, last time I recall your species was the one that ate eggs" She said. She heard Blue on the other side fall silent and then walk away. Grining, she ran over to the egg, crayon and marker boxes in mouth. "Lets see...eww, not pink. Ooo! I have a glitter pen! Maybe if I get some of this green..."
She picked up a marker with her mouth, but instead of coloring on paper she began to color on the surface of the egg. She put it down and got another marker, colored, put it down, got a crayon, colored, put it down...and it went on like this until she got tired, stepping back to admire her masterpiece. She had painted a face on the egg, adding colors and glitter randomly all over. She smiled, nudging the egg to the side and off the pillow so she could flip it over. Under the pillow was an old Vulpix plush, and she held it up to the egg for it to "see". "Now, this is Howie. You can't see him, 'cause you're an egg, but he looks kinda like me. He's really fluffy, but you'll never get to know for yourself because you can't touch him. Ever." She said. She put the plush down, replacing the pillow over it as she went over to her pile of stones. "These are my sparklys. Its a really bad habit of mine, but sometimes I suck on stones. Its like biting your nails, only I don't do this in public or anything" she said. She then went over to her hair brush. "And this, this is also mine. You can't use this either, actually, don't even look at it"
She put the egg on her pillow, curling up around it to give it warmth. "And that, Eggbert, is my stuff." she said. She pondered what to do next, but increased knocking on the door was distracting her and very much annoying. She blew another Raspberry, "Piss off, I'm thinking!"

( Red & Blue & Purple & The Raven & GOOP ) Red lay sprawled on her pillow, fast asleep. She snored rather loudly, but it didn't matter if no one was home. At least, when she had fallen asleep no one was home. Suddenly she heard something in the room fall rather loudly, and her eyes slowly opened. She started standing up groggily, "For the love of..."
She saw something out of the corner of her eye, but when she turned her head to see what it was it had run away, hiding under a stray blanket on the floor. She looked at it cautiously before turning away, and whatever was under there let out a breath of relief. And then suddenly, BANG! She hit the lump of blanket with a baseball bat, not once, but five times. Just as she was about to go for a sixth, the lump let out a whimper and a cry.
Baseball bat still in her mouth, she cautiously took the blanket off of the lump. A little pink Shellos lay there curled up in a ball, it seemed his jelly like body had kept him from getting any serious damage. He looked up at Red, a tear going down his cheek. Even if it didn't break any bones (did he even have bones?) it friggin hurt! Red looked at him with a sorry look, "I-I didn't mean to! Promise!"
He sniffled, and she sat down on the floor. Putting her front paws up to her face, she stretched her cheeks out and began to make faces at the Shellos. He quickly cheered up, "gweee~" coming out of his mouth. She laughed, "So whats you're name anyways?"
He tilted his head to the side, "GOOOOOOOOO?" he said. She scrunched up her nose, "You're name is Goo?" she asked it, his reply being "PAH!"
"So you're name is GOOP?" she asked him, once again getting a strange reply, "Goop!" he imitated, and she laughed. "Betcha you're hungry, huh GOOP?" she asked, and he nodded his head furiously. Smiling, she opened the door for him, and lo and behold did she see a sight.
Blue, Purple, the egg, and a strange Piplup all sitting on the couch, resting. Their position was that of a lazy fat man, so far down their backs were where their butts were supposed to be and their heads were where their backs were supposed to be. Their bellys stuck out, and they passed a bowl of chips mixed with popcorn and various other greasy or sugary foods around as they listened to the fuzzy radio.
Red was furious, "and just WHAT is this?" she screamed, They turned their heads to her, simultaneously but lazily. "We're just chillin' in our bro cave, bra" the Piplup said. Blue nodded, "Yeah, our bro cave time" blue followed, purple straightening his position somewhat to face her, "Yes, our time set out for brothers cavern!"
Blue and Raven looked at him, but said nothing. "Anyways, we're just gonna chill here and rest up, just the bro's. You got me, blue bro, little bro, egg bro, and- hey, where'd pink bro go?" he asked. GOOP came out from behind Red, and the Piplup laughed. "Get over here dude, you all sorts of strange!" he told him. The Shellos dashed over as fast as he could, throwing himself into the snackbowl and eating.
Red looked at them in disbelief, "You got to be joking. Oh, and by the way, his name is GOOP" she said. The Piplup turned to face the Shellos, "GOOP? I kinda dig it. Oh, and no joke dudette, its been a hard day. We need some bro time to rest up." he said. Reds eye twitched, she was ready to argue about this and get them off their lazy butts, but something about that Piplup was so calming...
She sighed and jumped on the couch, sitting in a similar position to them. It...felt pretty good. "Atta girl, now its bro and bra time!" the Piplup said. She shrugged her shoulders, "Pass me the food, I wanna get some before GOOP eats it all mister..."
"They call me The Raven bra." He said, passing her their heart attack in a bowl snack

( Red & Blue & Purple & The Raven & GOOP & Jay & Vertigo ) Once Jay and Purple had come back the room was clean, back to how it had been before. Jay helped Blue replace her bandages, and once they had finished a knocking came a the door.
"I'll get that" Jay said, jumping off of the couch as he trotted over to the door. He opened it all the way, showing a Pelipper standing outside, messenger bag over her shoulder. There was a box next to her, and she held a clipboard in her beak, presumably for someone to sign.
Jays eyes lit up like a little kid at a candy store, and he signed for it as quickly as he could. The Pelipper nodded and flew off, on her way to deliver more mail. The Zorua grinned, breaking out into a delighted laughter as he turned into a Donphan, pushed the rather large box in, and closed the door as he changed back. "I didn't think she'd actually send it, but its here~"
Blue rubbed the egg on his lap, looking at the box questionably. "Whats in the box?" he asked, the Zorua already ripping the tape off. "You'll see" he replied, tape stuck to his fur.
Eventually, he got it open, pieces of machinery and CD's tumbling out. "Its my DJ equipment, all of it~" he chimed, turning into a Machamp. "I can get this all set up, no sweat. I'm great with technology" and that he was, though he didn't seem like it he was a technology expert.
Blue looked at him, but said nothing as Jay began to take everything to an empty spot in the room. He laid out a chess board for him and Red to play, choosing to ignore the Zorua for the time being.
Time passed, and blue was about to get Red in check...when a loud, sudden burst of unce unce unce startled him into knocking everything off the board. He glared over at the source of the sound, Jay with a big grin as he played with some of the knobs on the very impressively set up system he had. Blue gave him a glare that could kill, and Jay gave a nervous laugh as he turned the volume off. "...just testing the sound"
"Next time you do that, warn someone" He told him, stroking the egg. Jay nodded, suure he would. The door to their room burst open, The Raven coming out with a glowstick on his flipper, "PAAARTY!" he yelled. Blue glared at him, "No party" "No party?" "No party" the Piplup frowned, dragging himself back into the room. Well darn.

Once they had all calmed down, everyone went back to as they had been. Red fumbled with the radio, Jay drooled over his gift, Purple read his book, and Blue hummed as he hugged the teams egg.
Everything was still, everything was silent.
Suddenly, the egg in Blue's lap shook. A tapping noise came from inside, and Blue's mouth opened in surprise. "Everyone! Its hatching, its hatching!" He yelled out, still holding it on his lap. Red stopped what she was doing, rushing over to his side. Purple and Jay did the same, and soon after followed The Raven and GOOP. The whole team was either on or around the couch, all of them looking at Blue's lap.
A crack formed, followed by more tapping. A hot pink foot broke out, followed by another hot pink foot. The egg wobbled from side to side before it fell on the ground, wobbling around before it started walking. Blue was thrown into panic mode, Purple putting his arms out as if telling everyone to stay where they were. They were all frozen in place, watching as the egg had its first steps before it even hatched.
Blue got off of the sofa, chasing after it. It unknowingly ran away from him, colliding into a wall. The egg cracked into little pieces, Blue managing to catch the pokemon inside before it could fall.
It was something they had never seen before. Blue stayed frozen as he held the hot pink and gray Scraggy in his arms, the pokemon opening its eyes, blinking them twice before staring at Blue.
More awkward silence.
The Scraggy blinked one more time before opening its mouth, "MOMMY!" it screamed, jumping up and latching onto Blue's back. Red burst out into laughter, "Well well, mommy Blue, looks like you've got quite the kid there" "Shut up"
Purple tried to hold back a giggle as he walked over, looking at the Scraggy. "She's a girl" He declared, and Red let out a loud "YAY!" at this. Purple wasn't done here, however.
"2 + 2" he told the Scraggy. She tilted her head to the side, "Four" she answered, and he clapped his hands. "15 + 9" "Twenty-four"
"6 x 2"
"Twelve"
"10/5"
"Two"
"10,000 - 1528"
"8,472"
Purple smiled, "By gods I've done it!" he remarked, walking back over to the couch. Red stood up, skipping over to Blue as she looked at the Scraggy, the girl still clinging to the Sneasels back. She stared at her, squinting her eyes as the Scraggy only looked curiously. "c'mon, you must have learned something..." Red mumbled.
The Scraggy blinked before sticking her tongue out, blowing a raspberry at her. Red laughed, Blue face palmed. "SUCCESS!" she yelled, walking back to the couch.
Blue glanced over to the Scraggy, "...Vertigo" he said aloud. Red tilted her head, "What?"
"Vertigo, the feeling of motion while one is stationary. We've taken her everywhere in the egg, so she has been moving, and yet she has stayed still in there the whole time, somewhat stationary. It suits her" he said. Girl went through a lot before she was born...
The Scraggy smiled, "Tiggs!" she said, and Blue laughed. "We'll call her Tiggs for short"
Vertigo clapped the best she could, she liked her mommy!

( Purple & Alaisdair )To put it briefly, it was storming outside. The rain had begun late at night, and everyone was too asleep to hear it. Vertigo, naturally scared, was given a pair of earmuffs, Red and Blue had grown up with storms like that, Jay was the earmuffs, and the rest of the team just didn't seem to care.
Purple sat on his usual chair with yet another book open, a candle on for light and a cup of hot chocolate on the table at his side. He would never be able to sleep with this lightning, and he might as well make the most of it.
Maybe the storm was just random, or maybe it was the heavens crying for all those who had been lost recently.
A bright flash of lightning lit up the sky, the brief light flashing through the teams window. Purple took a sip of his chocolate, choosing to ignore the noise. A small tapping at the window, however, got his attention.
He walked over and noticed a small leaf pointing out. He opened the window and looked out, a shivering Oddish standing outside. "H-h...he...el-el...el...m-me...m..."
Purple grabbed the Oddish and pulled him in, grabbing a nearby folded up blanket and putting it on the small pokemon as he closed the window. "Th...thank you" the Oddish said, and Purple only smiled. "Its quite alright, don't worry about it. Care for a cup of hot chocolate?"
"...y-yes. I would like that. Very much"

( Vertigo & Jo(e)y & Saraph ) Vertigo was curled up next to Joy, the Audino had volunteered to watch her while everyone else had a much needed rest. It had been just about a week since he escaped, and yet he had already taken a liking to her. What could he say, she was cute.
There was a knock at the door, and he gently slipped his arm out from under her head before going over to the door. He opened it as silently as he could, though it was in vain as he could already see the Scraggy getting up. Standing before him was a Ralts with black hair and gray horns, from the waist down his body that of a black Ponyta's. Joy stared at him, wide eyed, "You...You look like..."
The stranger bowed his head, "You are Joy, correct? I was told about you and your teammates." The Audino looked up at him, "What are the likes of you doin' 'round here?" he asked, his paw on the door to hold it open despite him wanting to slam it shut right then and there. The Ralts wasted no time in answering, "My father sent me here, he told me that the ones here were strong...I mean no harm, I only wish to learn from you and your comrades"
Joy crossed his arms as he stared him down, looking away after what seemed like a long time to check on Vertigo. The Scrafty was walking over, and she wrapped her arms around the hybrids leg in a hug. "Friend?" she liked new people, everyone new was always so nice and cool! The Ralts smiled, "Yes, I am a friend" he told the little pokemon. She let go, clapping her hands. "I'm Vertigo, but mommy calls me Tiggs! And you?"
The Ralts walked inside, Joy still eyeing him suspiciously. "I am Saraph, but if you would like you could call me Raph" He gave her a cheery smile, the best he could manage. "Thank you, for being so kind with me!"

( Jo(e)y & Saraph ) Joy sat hunched over on the couch, staring at the floor as he held a lantern in his hands. Yes, they had flashlights but...this just seemed so much more right. At least, to him anyways.
The soft pounding of hooves on the ground broke his trance, and he glared at Saraph as the centaur walked in. The hybrid showed no reaction, and this only earned an angered growl from Joy. "Yer up to something" the hybrid didn't turn, his hands passing over what books they had, looking for something of interest. "You anger over nothing." Joy stood up straight now, "You..."
"Yer just gonna take me back, ain't ya?" Saraph scanned over the books slowly, "I don't know what you're talking about" the Audino spat, his spit soaring over to the nearest wastebasket and falling in. "Don't play dumb. Yer the wardens kid, afterall..."
Saraph sighed. "Alright. You won't take my silence, so listen now" The Ralts never once looked down at the person he was speaking at. "Yes. Yes, by all means, I should take you back. I should have a long time ago" The Ralts stopped at one book for a moment, this one? No, no, keep going...his hands kept moving over the spines that bound them together as he spoke, "You didn't finish serving your time and you know it. You have not yet been able to end your punishment, and thus you should still be suffering"
"But its my parents that play warden, not me. While they are bound by their souls to their job, I am allowed to do whatsoever I please. And I choose not to enforce what authority and power has been given to me as a sort of birthright"
"however, there are some rules I must still follow, for I share tainted blood"
Joy grumbled and fumed. And then, wait..."You can end it? Tell me!" his voice had changed to a more pleading one now. Saraph finally settled on a book - one of purples - and began to look through the pages with interest. "I am not allowed to help, only guide. I can give you a hint, however"
"Remember Carmine and Serenata? They were being punished, just as you were. Serenata, once taken to her prison, had been turned deaf. Her punishment was that she would never hear the sound of her brothers music, not ever until she was able to forgive herself. Carmine had his very singing voice taken away, so he may never know the joy of singig in unison with his sister...until he was able to forgive himself too"
"until they break free of the idea that their punishments weren't their faults, they will suffer"
"You suffer because you can't remember. The only way you will ever be able to forgive yourself for what you have done is if you know what it was in the first place" Joy stiffened. Yes, his lost memory...but..."So you mean to tell me that I hafta try n' remember my past, right?"
Saraph closed the book. "Its late. I'm going to sleep" he trotted off to his own room, leaving Joy there alone to wonder.
"...I won't ever sleep until I'm free"

The plain box that rested within the room of Team Monochrome suddenly began to emit a loud noise. It was the garbled voices of many creatures, all spouting out words too quickly and too intermingled with one another to tell exactly what they were saying.
After about a (loud) minute, the voices would die down leaving only a box with a note and a certain something inside.
Put that ridiculous voice to some use.

( Purple & Violetta )A light knock on the door would bring Purple up from his reading. Gently, he set the book down on the table next to him, getting up and stretching.
The team was out for the day doing god knows what. He'd heard something about taking Tiggs out to the park. Whatever it was, they had left him to watch the house. Which he had no complaints about, he had actually volunteered himself up to do it. It had been awhile since he got some silence. Yet, this knocking that disturbed him, he didn't mind that one bit. Too much silence was deafening.
He reached up for the knob, turning it and opening the door. The smile on his face was polite, and his first instinct was to look up. He was fairly shocked when he saw nothing there, when you were his size most everything was bigger than you. so, his head tilted to what what in front of him...and then was was below...well, he certainly didn't have to look down at things every day. But here was something, another Rattata, petite and young, who beamed a bright smile up at him.
She smelled of the sea, and in her paws was a basket full of seashells. "Hi there!" she squeaked, waving at him slightly. "You must be purple, right? Daybreak told me alot about you!" Purple rolled the name over in his head. Darbreak, daybreak...oh! That little Poochyena fellow they helped out once, yes, he remembered him now. "Ah, are you a friend of his? No wait, where are my manners, come in, come in" He stepped out of the way, and the little Rattata...wip

( Purple & Alaisdair & The Raven & GOOP & Joey ) Joey opened the door slowly, sniffing the air as he entered.
It was nice to know that the door was unlocked as it always had been. The team never found reason to lock it, the guild was a safe place and they were always open to visitors. Joey gestured with his paw, signaling for the others to come in. One by one they filed in, looking around and inspecting their home.
Not much had changed. It was as it always was, crayons and coloring books in the corner where the sun came in that Red liked to go to, board games on the table, the couch was old and dusty as ever. The radio still gave out a steady stream of static and there were fresh signs of children at play, though the room was vacant except for one.
"What a pleasant surprise"
The rattata put down his book and took off his reading glasses, a little something Blue had gotten him as a gift after he noticed the old normal types eyesight was starting to falter a bit. The bookshelf had also been expanded and added to, now being the old big shelf and a smaller one. Actually, a lot of things had been changed while they had been gone, though they weren't easily noticed - the table in front of the couch didn't wobble anymore and there were many new plushies and toys lying around, among other things. Two months certainly was enough time to get some housework done.
Purple coughed as he got down from the chair, stretching and yawning. "I just heard the announcement, but its hard to believe. Its too...ah, let me think..." The rattata chuckled, "My, I spend my days with these words but now I can't find them. Surreal is the closest I can get. It was already given to us as a fact that you had passed. I'm certainly glad we were wrong this time."
"Red and Jay are out doing god knows what right now. Maybe at the beach or taking a stroll. She was in some shock for a while but she got over it quickly with his help - its not like her to be depressed anyways. Blue, however, has been quite taciturn since your disappearance. He spends most of his time on the roof of locked in the room. He only ever lets Red in...The girls have been otherwise normal, though not as upbeat. Me, same as ever - I prefer the company of these books than of the outside world, though I am willing to socialize with just about anyone"
"Its been lonely around here - come, sit, have some tea. I'll start helping you catch up on how its been so far"
