こんいちは。私はGaleです。 How should I write my psuedonym? ガレか。ガルか。Maybe translate it to 強風 (kyofu)?
I've been interested in the Japanese language for a while and have been learning it in my spare time at snail-pace without a teacher. I joined because I would like to meet some fellow learners to pick up some tips, find motivation, make friends and maybe have some conversations in Japanese.
Nice to meet you!

Welcome to the guild biggrin
Do you pronounce it like 'gail'? As in gale-force winds? If so, I'd probably go with ゲール。

Thanks! Yes, ゲール works. I'm never sure when I'm supposed to use ー when writing English words in katakana.

Gale Gynoid Thanks! Yes, ゲール works. I'm never sure when I'm supposed to use ー when writing English words in katakana. I find that really tricky too! especially in words where there's potentially more than one! Coffee for example コーヒー
