Okies, this is how this works. Someone posts a prompt, and everyone goes away and scribbles something. It can be a short story, a poem, something that might become a novella, or just an idea. If you're keen on playing, but don't get anything from a prompt, do it anyway. It might be dull and awful, but it might not.
Then you come back and tell us what you came up with. biggrin Don't post any part of the work itself - the idea is to be free to experiment and do something that could be really awful. Sharing something, while awesome, does put you under the spotlight and often people aren't happy enough with what they've done to want to do that. Keep the work you do, or toss it away. Rewrite it into something great, or consider it the worst thing you've ever done... it's not important, as we won't see it (unless you want to post it for critique in another thread).
This gives us the opportunity to see all the different things that different people can get from the same prompt (picture, word, line, question). We share the idea, rather than the end result.
If people are keen to play, I'll post the first prompt in a day or two biggrin

I'll play. Sounds like it could be a good time, something to bring some life into this poor guild. 3nodding

Sweet! biggrin
Okay, this one is from "Writer's Book of Days" by Judy Reeves. (I'll try to grab them from all over the place in case you end up buying the book or something and all the prompts therein would be second hand xp )
The first prompt is: Rising early to begin the journey

I admit to having a difficult time with it. I'd get the beginnings of something, like a sentence or two, and then that'd be it. emo
