I know Tsubasa is great but what about the original anime? That's a bad question to answer. So here's the question... What was your favorite character in the original and what was your favorite scene that they were in?

You should add another option, such as " both " because to be quite frank, I love both series. I can't choose between the two.

yeah, I love both series! A lot! My favorite scenes with Sakura and Syaoran in CCS though would have to be..hehe! When Sakura and Syaoran were practicing in the morning for their sleeping beauty play, and Syaoran was flippin out because Sakura was about to kiss him.
And another favorite would have to be in the second movie, the final scenes...after Sakura has finished changing the card to a Sakura Card and then she tells Syaoran..and it was all sad until he responded. awl..

I like to think that CCS was my first real anime/manga series. It's what got me interested in the whole business of anime and manga and made me into the otaku that I am. biggrin I think CCS is better, because it was the original. All of its ideas were fresh and new, and Tsubasa just builds on that.
I don't have a favorite character, but one of my favorite episodes was the one with the Change card.

I love CCS, and it was my first manga, but I feel really out of it because I haven't seen the anime... redface But my favorite character is Yuki... I'm a big Yuki/Toya fan. So cute! heart
I don't think I can choose between CCS and Tsubasa... Like I said, CCS was my first manga and I really love it, but Tsubasa is awesome too! I can't pick! whee

Neiyuki yeah, I love both series! A lot! My favorite scenes with Sakura and Syaoran in CCS though would have to be..hehe! When Sakura and Syaoran were practicing in the morning for their sleeping beauty play, and Syaoran was flippin out because Sakura was about to kiss him.

Oh yeah, those are adorable moments. My favorite scene in the second movie is when Syaoran visits and Sakura makes him dinner. It's just before they eat, when she is making some tea and gets some cake for them to eat. She asks if he wants sugar, and saying he can do it himself reaches out the sugar cup unaware Sakura is doing the same. They're hands touch and both become all blushy. Aww. <33
In the series, I've been fond of the moments when Syaoran is discovering that he is falling in love with Sakura. I love the little song he sings when they visit the teddy bear musuem. ^w^

Hmmm....I can't decide between them.
In the anime, I think I liked the part in the first movie where she ended up staying at Li's over break. And the second movie, the ending was so awesome...dang it, I can't pick. There's just too many fun moments in CCS.

I love both CCS and TRC. It's hard to choose which on it better since they both have strong points in them. I love the end of the second movie where Sakura jumps of the cliff toward Syaoran. "I love you!" Haha, that was cute.

After watching the second movie, I wanted there to be something else.. like a thrid one, if at all possible. I've been drying to see those two kiss! T__T; I mean, fanart and stuff is cool but to see it done in the actual anime would have been nice, or at least the movie! I'm such a complainer when it comes to these things. .__.;

No, I know what you mean. It felt unfinished to me, the series. That's why I liked that part of the ending better in the manga. In the manga, it's over. done. finished. I still want to know more, but I know they're together.

Good to know. I agree completely. The last book of the manga is the only one I actually own because the ending is so adorable and sweet, a nice close. ^^;

Although, in my opinion, to make the ultimate ending, things should be combined from both manga and anime.
During the battle w/ Eriol/Clow, I thought it was better in the anime, about how Li helped Sakura. That was probably the sweetest part in the whole anime. In the manga he faints, and I didn't like that. Just seeing the two together, defeating Eriol, was the greatest event ever. But, I thought it was quite the twist when Clow was actually Sakura's father. They should've kept that in the anime. It explains how Sakura had more of a connection to Clow than Li did. Finally, I repeat what I said before. I just like the plain and simple "Li goes away and comes back later". My heart was bursting with happy emotion at that part, especially when he says he went away to get transfer papers so he could stay in Japan.

Mmmm! I cannot choose between both manga, they are both adorable as heck. <3~
It was a shame though, the ending to the CCS anime, where Sakura makes the jump to a waiting Syaoran. My sister and I used to joke about.. Maybe she didn't make it and fell. >_< Still, the first time I saw the second movie, I cried, because it was Syaoran who was supposed to forget about his feelings for Sakura. (See how they somewhat reversed it for Tsubasa?) Luckily for the both of them that the power of the Hope was able to reverse it! That was so cute!
I would have liked to see more of the CCS manga put into the actual anime though. Such as when S+S go to the shrine in the second manga series (Forth book) and insted of the scarf that she makes for him in the anime, Sakura makes Syaoran a yukata. He looks so gorgeous! Quiet Daydreamer is right though - The entwining of Clow into both Eriol and Fujitaka should have been implied into the anime. Reason being is that most of the viewers would have understood why it was Sakura and Touya that had magical abilities about them. (As it was passed through their father - Part of Clows Reincarnation)
It also would have been nice to see the photo that Tomoyo was planning to take of the duo once they had sealed the Void. There was a picture of it running around online, but... Common, we all wanted some S+S action! <3~
Anywho, that's my two cents!

I dunno... I was pretty fond of Meiling, both my sister and I. She would have been fun to Cosplay. ^^
I thought that her character had a fair bit of spunk to her. She was... Pretty headstrong, which gave her a... "I soooo don't care what you think, I'm going to do it anyway" attitude, but you'd have to look at her history and think... "Gaw, the poor little sprite". ^^;;
She had to endure a heck of a lot, considering that she was part of the Li family, and bore no magic.
And you have to admit, she has some of the most funkiest hair one had ever seen. X3~
