The name Migoto Riku means "beautiful land," which is a complete misnomer. This village may have been beautiful once, but it was completely destroyed by the Shou, who saw the villagers as a threat to their dictatorship. Now it is little more than a wasteland- barren, rocky, and grey. Parts of it are used as landfills and junkyards. The houses are few and far between. Some are underground. Most are uninhabited. The few that live in Migoto Riku are mostly hermits and recluses. Others flee there because they fear the Shou, who now have no reason to attack it, or simply because they have nowhere else to go.
