Awai is a small town on the coast. It is possibly the oldest town in Kouhai,
having been around for centuries. Although it was sacked by the Shou as they rose to power, the peaceful townspeople rebuilt it and it is now just as beautiful as it ever was, if not more so. It is governed by the Shou, but it's so small that they generally ignore it. They don't see it as a threat. On weekends, vendors roam the streets selling all kinds of merchandise, from food to art supplies to furniture to clothing to toys. Awai has a beautiful view of the ocean, being right next to it. Its inhabitants sometimes sit all day, just looking out at it. Awaians are known to be carefree, because the only thing they have to fear is that someday, the tides will come in too far and flood the town.
