It looks like the old dorm except it has a little more room.

Katsumi had asked for another key to a newer dorm and eventually found the new dorm. She then opened the door and dragged her luggage inside. "Come on Petro, I get this bed." she said as she tossed her stuff on the bed that was closer to the door and sighed heavily.

Petro had followed Katsumi laggingly, before entering the new and blandly-decorative dorm with her. He stood in the threshold, his eyes sparkling like a young child's with a new toy, scanning the small room with a cheerful gaze. He took slow steps inside of the room, careful to take his old shoes of so he wouldn't dirty anything. He shuffled slowly onto the carpet flooring, and ran his hands along the drywall, which were smooth, and cool to the touch. He made his way into the "bedroom", still marveling at the grandeur of the place, compared to his other homes. He took a seat on the second bed, his body sinking into the plushy material. He chuckled slightly, and gripped the soft mattress firmly, it's sponginess forming to the counters of his hand. He looked up at Katsumi, his sadness replaced with a look of joy, and nodded at her. " My heart...it cannot thank you enough. I am forever in your debt..", he said with a heavy breath, the words tumbling out of his mouth. He then proceeded to lay down on the mattress, breathing out a sigh of relief as he structured out his body.

Katsumi listened to what Petro said and chuckled softly. "No problem Petro. I told you that I've been in the same situation as before, didn't I?" she said as she started unpacking, putting her clothes away in a drawer and hanging up what remained of her rock posters. She then changed her sheets to match her part of the room before she sat down and started tuning her electric guitar after she plugged in the amp. She then started playing an old classic, singing the lyrics with a smile on her face. (She's playing this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCnNyoKuwiM )

Petro turned his head slightly as he watched her unpack her sheets, clothes, and the other valuables she carried with her. She was lucky to have an abundance of stuff with her, being able to customize the room to her taste. When Petro came over to the U.S however, he was not one of the people who could aptly bring all their possessions along with. He was literally " smuggled" aboard a European cargo vessel, carrying nothing more than the clothes on his back, and what little money he had been able to save up: about $300. It was a wonder that he was able to survive as long as he has in the U.S, and an even bigger wonder he got into this prestigious academy. But the things he had to do to get here, well, he'd rather not talk about in such people areas. The train of thought was soon broken by the signature, metallic sound of an electric guitar, juiced up by a sizable amp. He cocked an eyebrow as he watched the young girl tune up her instrument with her soft fingers, before letting rip with a salvo of notes. He suddenly grew a powerful smile, one that is triggered by stimuli, his gray eyes beaming a look of intensity as she continued to play. He reverted his look back to the ceiling, trying to tap his bony fingers to the melody of the powerful beat. Her voice took on a different aspect to, one that was sinister and powerful than before. After she was finished with the classic, he clapped quietly for her, beaming her a look of awe. " That...that was exhilaration, no? Has anyone ever asked to be in one of those...er, bands?", he asked with curiosity, his gray eyes still sparkling. She certainly was a good guitar player, none the less, and her voice wasn't band, either.

Katsumi heard the applause and smiled at Petro. "Thanks. I've played since I was really little. Do you wanna try?" she asked as she offered the cherry red Fender to Petro, seeing as though he was just laying there. "Why haven't you unpacked yet?" she asked as she made sure the guitar was tuned so that he wouldn't sound weird when he played. She just hoped she wouldn't attract too much attention. (( I don't understand why you're coughing so much...)) " Oh, I can't play instrument. Never had time back in Motherland, anyways.", Petro said with a soft sigh, his thick accent making his voice sound a tad bit melodic. He seemed whisk his hand in a no thank motion, and rolled onto his side, looking at her with a content gaze. " I have unpacked, see?", he asked, pointing to his wallet, and a faded pack cigarettes which on his wooden nightstand. " I told you already. I have nothing to unpack, I am nomad.", he said with a slight chuckle, rolling onto his back once more, the covers crinkling up under his motion. " When I come here, I had to move out of Ukraine with such haste. There was no time to pack anything. It was either you get going, or get killed in the crossfire.", he sighed, his words tumbling out softly. By "crossfire", he meant the civil unrest going on in the Ukraine, particularly Kiev. Anyone who watched the news would know the violence going on, and he was one of the many immigrants who fled their homeland. (( Soon he'll come, soon.))

She handed him the guitar and made him use his fingers to hold a regular 'G' chord. "Basic 'G' chord. You don't need a pick to strum an electric guitar. Just run your finger lightly over the middle of the guitar." she said as she helped him hold the chord while strumming the guitar to make it give a smooth sound. She then let him go so he could get used to the feel of the chord and strum it on his own. "Then I need to find you some clothes. Please, let me take you shopping later. After I take a bath. But first I wanna show you some basic progressions. Is that alright?" she asked as she grabbed her other guitar, tuned it, and showed him the chord she wanted him to play and strummed it.

Petro turned slightly when she came over to him, a crook in his thin eyebrows. He saw she was holding the guitar, with that " I wanna show you something" in her soft eyes. He slowly sat up then, popping his back, before coming eye to eye with the young girl. He wanted to refuse lightly, but his throat constricted the words, and forced them back down his windpipe. Maybe it was because after all she had done for him, it was the least he could do. So, he submitted his hands to her, watching her mend them with her own, before wrapping his left around the fret board in the correct position. It felt uncomfortable, the way his fingers gripped the strings in an awkward manner. He strummed with his right, gliding it over the middle of the guitar. It sounded sour and unorthodox, but it was still remotely close to what she did. He tried it a couple more times, each one sounding less disgusting than before. A small smile cracked his lips as he continued with the only chord, before silencing the strings, and looking up. " I am pretty good, no?", he asked with a light chuckle, before setting the guitar down slightly. " And please, go take bath, or shower. I will wait here. You can show me..erm, more strumming after you, eh, clean up, no?", he asked in an awkward tone. It was hard to communicate with someone who spoke English so well. He had been slapped one too many times by a girl for sounding like a pig, when really he just wanted to know something.

Katsumi noticed the slicy sound of his first strum and jumped slightly. But after he adjusted his fingers and kept strumming, it sounded much better. Giggling, she nodded to his statement. "Yeah. That's pretty good for a first-timer. I'm glad you didn't need me to correct yourself. That's a hint that you're going to be a quick learner. Here, use my beginner book and learn some of the 'D' progression chords. That includes the 'G' chord." she said as she took hold of her white and purple electric guitar and put it on its stand. She then dug around in her bag and pulled out a paper back book with a guitar on the front. "The dots are where you place your fingers. Just try the 'D' progression. Can you try? Only if you want to. No pressure. Have fun~" she said before she went over to the bathroom and turned the hot water on to make it steam. She then walked back out and found herself a pair of tight skinny-jeans that had cloth strings holding large pieces of the thighs together. She then found her favorite t-shirt: a black shirt with 'Lynyrd Skynyrd' in his famous logo with a confederate flag and rock concert description on the back. Smiling, she took the clothes into the bathroom and set them down on the sink. The bath was full, so she closed the bathroom door and locked it. It was out of habit that she did this. Even if he did come in there, she still had her knife in her sweatpants pocket. And she hoped she didn't have to use it on him. She doubted that though. After taking her clothes off, Katsumi steppes into the tub and relaxed, sighing heavily in relief. "God this feels great...." she said to herself as she allowed the steam to open her pores as she washed in the tub and relaxed. After about 20 minutes in the tub, she had finished relaxing and fixing her pedicure up and drained the water out. Sighing happily, Katsumi stood up and grabbed a towel and dried off. After motioning her body, she pulled on her rock-star outfit and teased her hair to make it look very volumized. She then sprayed some of her favorite perfume over her shirt and jeans before coming out of the bathroom. She was going to her bag to put her clothes away that she had worn before she had taken a bath.

Petro was glad she didn't have to much of a heart attack when she heard his revolting strumming. He watched her as she dug around in her decal-ridden bag, before pulling out a faded paperback, edges worn down, with the nostalgic picture of a guitar on the front. He lightly took the book from her, feeling the cool, laminated covers in his hands. He skimmed through the rough book, pictures of diagrams and different styles of playing crammed in the pages. He put the book down next to him, and looked up to her with a smile on his face. " Thank you, Katsumi. Now, go make yourself clean. No need to keep eye on me. I am not dog.", he said in an awkward humorous tone, the accent butchering some of the comedy. He waited for her to enter the bath room, waited for the metallic click of the lock to happen, before getting up.
He left the book on his simple bed, picking up the faded pack of cigarettes from the night stand, before shuffling to the screen-door further down the dorm. He fished around in his pockets, before finding a greasy, beaten zippo lighter, the skull decal on it faded beyond origination. He could see through the wire mesh of the door that the balcony sat on a small hill, over-looking the bustling city in the distance. Pines and evergreens were dotted along the hillside, looking like toothpicks in the distance. He slid open the glass door quietly, a blast of warm, Summer air hitting his body. He then carefully opened the screen, slowly transitioning from the A/C cooled room, to the hot and muggy outside. Once he was outside on the wooden patio deck, he closed the door behind him, isolating himself from the dorm. Petro then flipped open the small box that held the "cancer" sticks, and nudged it between his lips. He opened the Zippo lighter, and flicked the flint sparkler, a little sliver of flame ejecting itself from the metallic nozzel. He held it to the cig, and cupping his hand over it, lit the tip of the tobacco-filled stick. He breathed in slowly, the smoldering flame brightening, before exhaling, a thick cloud of gray smog curling around his head, before rising up into the air. He looked out onto the hillside, a crisp wind blowing in his direction, getting the loose pieces of limp hair out of his gray eyes. He took another puff, thinking of how lucky he was to be in the spot he was.

After Katsumi noticed that Petro hadn't played, she smiled softly and put her treasured memories away for another time. But the smell of cigerettes soon filled her nostrils and she smirked lightly. She knew she would get along with this guy easily. Katsumi then tossed her bathing supplies in her bag before pulling on some black converse and heading to the patio portion of the dorm. "Loan a smoke? I'll give you two when I go out again." she asked as she pulled out her lighter, which looked like a small handgun to be ironic, and spun it around in her hand. The smell was so addictive to Katsumi. Not to mention the taste and slight high she got from it either.

Petro starred almost blankly out onto the city-scaped horizon, the star-studded night sky making for an excellent back-drop. The gray smoke clouded his vision once more, the thick material exiting his mouth and nostrils in a slight torrent. He didn't hear her step onto the deck, but the solid wall of cooled air that hit his back was a sure give away of her presence. He turned his head over his shoulder, catching an eye-full of her. Even through the smoke, the scent of perfume and hair-spray entered up his nostrils, and into his mind. The outfit she wore, which was tight in some places, loose in others, accented her already drop-dead body, a body that surely did attract a large portion of male traffic on her side. He could see the exposed pieces of her thigh, which were being "held" by the tattered jeans, and didn't know if this is what she usually wore, or she was doing this to tease him. He hid the thin piece of thin that was streaked across his face by turning around once more, and regaining his composure.
He shifted around once more, a cigarette lightly held between his bony fingers. " You look very much like a...em, "rock star", Katsumi. Do you plan on having...eh... a concert tonight?", he asked with a nervous chuckle, his accent straining the vowels in his choppy accent. He exhaled again, before sliding the cigarette into her fingers, before turning around once more, gazing out onto the rolling hills.

Once she had the cigarette in her fingers she pulled the 'trigger' of the hand gun, causing it to lite the spark and start her cigarette. She let the trigger go and put it in her pocket, placing the cigarette in-between the middleman ring finger on her right hand. After taking a deep breath and exhailing it slowly, Katsumi turned around to face Petro. "This? I usually wear this type of outfit to school and to hang out. Try not to stare~" she teased playfully as she sat on the patio swing, taking another deep breath of her cigarette and watching for his reaction. Her composure was perfectly calm and collected as she looked out to the scenery of the city under the hills. It always amazed her how the city lights looked from a place like this. So distant, yet so beautiful. She exhaled her smoke slowly, smirking as she waited for a nervous reply from Petro.

Petro had to keep his gray eyes from drifting downwards as he looked at her, a slight smile cracking his thin lips. He took the dangling cigarette from his loose lips, and placed it between his fingers, careful not to place the burning tip against the legs of his pants. " Well, I try not to "stare", if you try not to "show"~", he said with a warm chuckle, his gray eyes beaming dimly in the night air. It didn't come without it's side effects, as the pink streak across his face only grew bigger and more noticeable. His "chill" smile turned into his once-again flustered look, and he turned around to face the other way, to keep his already dwindling image. He exhaled breathily once more, the slight winds causing the thin fabric of smoke to wrap behind him. " So...Katsumi is your name, no? It doesn't sound like the "American" names I have heard before.", he commented with a calm tone, the accent only aiding the feeling. It was true, quite an unusual name for someone living in the "land of the free". But then again, North America was known for being one gigantic melting pot.
