Circle of Light
.::.Pounding Wings.::.

It was suggested (( By Zephyr D`Ca to Be exact. X3 )) that this guild have an RPG or two, so here you go.
Our first RPG. heart

Intoduction to RPGing
For those of you who don't know, an RPG is a Role Playing Game.
I suppose you could say in an rpg, a person takes a character of their creation, possibly of another's creation, and...well...forms a story with other people. Any number of people can participate in an rpg.
Each post in an rp is linked to the storyline, and to the other peoples previous posts.
For instance, if you were rping in medieval times and someone had just built a fire, you wouldn't turn around and start talking on your cell phone, or go dive into a swimming pool. Especially since, odds are if someone built a fire, it's cold outside. xP
Hopefully that covers the basics... sweatdrop

This RPG will take place in, what else, medieval times.
I'm not going to get into specifics on the storyline, but I will go as far as giving the initial setting.

We'll start in a deep forest, in the middle of a dark night.
As though it weren't dark enough, it's recently started pouring down rain.

I'll leave the rest up to the first few people who post.

Starting -
Upon you're first post, please include you're characters...
Name:
Species:
Gender:
Age:
And a short description, including anything you'd like.

And I'll include this in the second post, so new comers to the rp can see it.

Note- Try to be literate, will you? This simply means, try to use whole words, not letters.
Example: "U" and "R" Are not words, they are letters. Lets try to rise above that shall we? whee

Ayo walked through the wood, the rain dampening her hair. She stopped beneath a large weeping willow tree and put a hand against the tree. How could she not have noticed the rain comming? She leapt into the crotch of the tree and sat down. She wrapped her coat around her and held a throwing daggar tight in her hand. Today, the rain was affecting her hearing and everything meshed together into a blurr. What was wrong with her? Why couldn't she recognise any sounds?

Name: Spike and Shadow
Species: Elf and Dragon
Age: 53 and 46
Description: A qoute says it best:
Bigfoot TI
Sometime around midnight, Torokal stirred himself, blinking the sleep away from one eye. A shadow among the other sleeping dragons shifted, and began moving towards him. As it moved closer, it resolved into a small dragon, not more than forty feet long, whose hide was mottled with black, gray and brown patches of various shades. This enabled the dragon to hide wherever any of those shades appeared, but even on this grassy area, his outline seemed to constantly shift, so Shade bobbed his head side to side for Torokal to keep track of. His rider, Spike, was a smallish elf with the long fingers of a born thief, or "liberator of goods", as he termed himself, and wore a cloak that exactly matched the pattern on Shadow's hide, making him as elusive as his mount. Spike pushed back the hood of his cloak, revealing ears that were peirced for three rings on each side. He pushed his shock of white-gold hair back from his face, and rubbed at Shadow's neck.

Ayo sat quietly in the crotch of the weeping willow tree, rainwater trickling down her face. Her aging father had sent her out in search of her younger brother, who had dissapeared just yesterday. As the sky let loose its tears she knew that most hope of finding him was lost.

Shadow worked his way along the muddy road, his wings curled back to keep the tips clean. This rain was depressing, and he couldn't take off easily in the wet. He blinked slowly, his dark eyes focusing on a wide tree at the side of the road. A weeping willow. Good to keep the rain off, but not big enough to keep all of him out of the rain, but it'll do. Moving uder the tree, he lowered his bulk to the ground, and let his head down with a wet shplot. A shape stirred on his back, and flipped it's hood down. "Aw, nuts. Will this ever slack off?" the short elf grumbled. All of his supplies were wet and soggy, the bread was ruined, and Shadow couldn't hunt because all prey was tucked away in its own little den.
Looks like it has set in and will be here for several days, maybe a week.

Ayo held the throwing daggar tight to her chest and listened to the elf and beast. Could it be her brother? No. He was taller. She had expected to find him near a dragon, but she knew it wouldn't be like that. She leapt deeper into the woods, to another tree. She was on a simple search mission. To find her brother, and being that neither the elf nor the dragon was her brother than she had no buisness with them.

"Did you hear someting?"
Yes, the rain. We are both tired, hungry and wet, so put your hood up and go to sleep. I'll take first watch.
The elf flipped his hood back up, blew some rain off the tip of his nose, and curled back into the small patch of merely damp on Shadow's back. No sense wasting energy hoping for food, because there wasn't any.

Crouched in the nearby tree, Ayo turned back to look at the dragon. She knew their eyes did not hold that same fire, they could not, but she could not help herself. She knew that her brother had fled. No one had ever favored him for anything, and considering his 'accursed defect', as Father called it, she knew her brother had wanted to leave. Everyone knew about, and no one liked his 'changes'. Mama had said that he was both a fire dragon, a lord of the underworld, and a wood elf, a protector of nature. "The two simply cannot live together in harmony Ayo. Your brother is doing his best, and so are we." Ayo knew that her mother had had her stories. But she knew her brother was both...a strange twist of both dragon and elf. Wood elf by day, red dragon by night.

Urgh. Shadow's nose was getting clogged with wet sloppy mud, and there was only one way to clear it. The dragon took a long, slow breath in, and released it in a jet of flame, scorch-drying his nostrils, and leaving two trails of dry in the mud, which quickly filled in with more mud. Releasing one foreleg from the muck, he put it under his long chin, holding his mouth and nose out of the slop, but putting pressure on certain nerves...
I am going to regret this in the morning.

Ayo looked back at the dragon, his chin on his foreleg. 'Poor thing...' she mumbled. She muttered something under her breath while holding her fingertips together. She had just begun studying the magic and spells of the wizards. So far she only knew a few spessl for survival and travel. A transparent sphere appeared above the willow tree, sheilding the dragon and it's rider from the rain. 'That's the best I can do for now...sorry. Wish I could help a little more.' she mumbled again.

Shadow lifted his head up. The air tingled with magic, and he knewhow powerful some spells could be, before he realised that he was not getting rained on. In fact the sound of the rain was muffled, as if from indoors... He panned his head around, looking at the perimeter of the dome, and slowly tilted his head up, noting that it was a dome.
Interesting...
He curled his tail up, and was about to test the type of magic it was, by poking it. Then he thought better of it, and let his tail down.
No sense pushing my luck.
With the sound of the rain pushed back, he noticed another sound; too big to be game, too quiet to be anything but an elf, it was somebody breathing carefully. Any other race would just overlook it as the sighing of the trees, but he had been trained by an elf since hatching. Spike was thirteen years his senior, but he was in no way his superior; it was an equal pairing.

Ayo crouched in the tree, watching the dragon's reaction. She could tell that the beast could hear her. She sat down in the tree. 'I suppose I don't have to get going just yet' she thought. The rain droned on through the night and Ayo, perched in tree had just began to sleep. Suddenly she woke back upand clutched her side. Pulling her hand away she saw it was covered in blood. "Damn." she muttered. She could feel the blood seeping from her body, she licked the blood off her hand. Her eyes began to turn red and demonic markings appeared all over her body. She pulled a talisman from het trenchcoat, but befeore she could recite the enchantment she keeled over and fell from the tree.
