Celesta felt the presence of Mikalla's force, hissing at it and fighting back. The strength of the girl rising, she was beginning to see only one way out. As Mikalla's life was sacrificed to save Akiko's Celestia began to burn and tore herself away from the child's purifying body. She arose as but black mist at first, holding no body of her own anymore.
There was no part of Celesta that was even close to human anymore. She floated above Akiko's body and glared, her once elegant features now a cloud of toxin dripping to the ground. Still, she used it as her physical form, as physical as she could become. An inhuman cry deaffened through the world, to the Angels, and to demons below. Her eyes emmitted only one thing--hate. It was powerful, vengeful, sturring the souls of the Angels who surrounded the toxic creature. Soon, Celesta began to morph and change, turning not into a being one might call 'human', but something else...she almost resembled a dragon.
Shawn awoke upon the scream's shattered passing. With what strength he had he pushed himself up to sit on his knees, looking at the creature that was Celesta. The toxins dripping from her were like acid, burning what all they touched. His eyes widened in horror at the sight, turning to disgust as she floated over Akiko. The younge girl lay, becoming splattered in the acid yet unable to move.
Insane eyes fell upon Zach as he flew towards Celesta. He shouted an attack at the now serpent-like enemy, only to have the shreeking cry sung once more to him. Celesta lifted her dragon-like body and flew at the collosal attack. Her toxic poisons mixed with the water and blackened it before she gained control and sent it flying back at him.
Seeing his chance Shawn ran to Akiko and lifted her body, cradling it as he brought his sword to his side. "Akiko...wake up..." he said. Stroking her cheek lightly he begged her to wake up. He patted out the burns forming from Celesta's poisoning and looked to her constantly. He was tired, but if he had to he would fight more. He would give his own life to save Akiko. At that, he kissed her.
As Zach and Kila fought Celesta she retorted with every spell she knew, every dragon curse she had she flung at them. The ground shook like nothing before, sending lava all around the fighters as through symbolizing the ring which they were to stick to. The dragon woman was weakening, however. The blasts of water that hit wiped away some toxins, revieling beneath human flesh. But too soon the guise of the dragon reformed and repelled.
Kira's snow held great effect. What she was able to freeze shattered Celesta's strength and added to further burdening to the dragon. Zach fell to one knee. He was approaching exhaustion. "We need more time...or more help..." he muttered. The pair knew their limitations, and while fighting also had the responsibility of protecting Shawn and Akiko. Zach being protective of his sister put aside his slight dislike of Shawn to protect him, as well.
Akiko's eyes fluttered open at the kiss. It seemed to give her strength. "Sha...Shawn?" she couldn't believe he was there. And alive. The boy was so injured and drenched in blood he looked like he'd been swimming in it. Akiko began to let tears drip. How could he get himself so wounded? Shaking her head she decided she would slap him later.
Together they rose, giving eachother strength. Shawn picked up his sword and charged with the wind's force to Celesta. With Reina out and Bolt watching over her Shawn held new reason for fighting.
The battle went on forever, though only minutes passed. Zach had been beaten and tossed aside like a rag doll, his power up but not without consequence. Celesta was now more human than dragon, the poison covering her body in rips. Her face was half human and half dragon. Her eyes tore between dimentions, looking one red and one green unto the group. They held power and loathing, but weakness as well.
Kira clashed snow and ice to poison and acid, becoming covered greatly. Her body burned, her wings were loosing their feathers. "This isn't what was supposed to happen..." she started. The little snow angel's eyes filled with shimmering ice tears as she beat frost from her wings. She didn't know what else she could do, what capabilities she held left to battle against her foe. Celesta came upon her and swiped a clawed hand to her, slashing the girl across the chest and sending her flying. Kira landed hard to the ground and skidded to a stop on her stomach. Blindingly Celesta ran and slashed again, catching the girl's white wings.
Screams of pain and torment emmitted from the girl as she tried fighting back but was slashed again and again. Her body burned with acid and ached with exhaustion. Every fiber begged her stand down. But she didn't. She tried standing once again, and before Celesta could whip her down Shawn's wind blasted the evil creature in the back and sent her away, flying into lava. She nicked the edge of the shooting pillars of molten fire and screamed in utter hate, rather than pain.
Kira was right beside Reina. Akiko and Shawn came running to help the girl but she knew she wasn't strong enough to last now anyway. "Stay back..." she ordered. She looked to Reina, a sad smile forming. She formed a dagger of the purest ice and looked down at her lifeless friend. "Reina...we can't beat her...we need you..." she said smiling. "Take my life as your own and live on..." she said as she plunged the dagger into her heart, mimicing Mikalla.
She'd done it too quickly for anyone to stop her. Her life floated in a brilliant white glow, one that would even make Akiko's soul envious. It floated over and within Reina's body, making it glow blindly before dimming. In a silent second nothing happened. Until a sudden breath entered Reina's lungs, and a heart once again beat.
Reina stood. There was something different about her. She had three wings. As Celesta rose and saw the once dead girl reborn and standing before her she growled in hate, reaching out to the girl and shot off as much acid as she could bring forth. She flew towards her and slashed, only to be halted by Shawn's blade. She swiped at him only to have him counter once again. He smirked at her as he fought back.
He was giving Reina time to regain her strength. Akiko joined and blasted as much light as her body would, and more. Burning and blinding Celesta, Shawn was able to attack more fiercely. He rose his sword and slashed it at the creature's back, leaving a deep grove. The acid began eating away at his blade, however, and soon he was forced to withdraw it.
Reina took no time in gathering her strength. She summoned her spirit up and formed all the energy she could. All of a sudden the spirits of the Earth and its elements gathered together in attack that was to send one being off the face of the planet.
With Reina's energy set Shawn and Akiko sent in theirs to feed the three-winged angel. Together they launged a formidable attack, the force of it cratering the Earth as it hit Celesta. With mind bending screams the dragon woman was obliterated, never to bother the world again...
In her death, the world returned to normal. Even Reina's soul came back from it, flying back to the girl's body. All that remained of Celesta were pettles of the blackest blue. There were but three, laying on the ground where Celesta had been beaten.
