What if you could be censored from your own life?

For Dustin, life has never been hard. He's heard tales from the past about how people would go to war and come back with only their torso and neck to keep them company. But that's never been his world. He's never had to deal with loss or sadness or loneliness. Until he wakes up one morning to find himself erased from his family's, friend's, and neighbor's memories. And he's the only one who knows he was ever alive.

When he is greeted by a strange girl who goes by the name of Fifi -- "long story" --, he meets a group of kids that have been "Censored" from the world. In other words, only they know they're there. Dust joins them as the group continues on until they have enough people to head toward the Bin, or where the Censored go. Along the way, Dust finds that the world he's come to know is made up of a complex tapestry of lies, illusions, and censorship. The simple life he thought he would lead quickly turns into a thing of the past as he uncovers the truth of what is real and what is fake. What he finds leads him to a stunning reality.

But all this will be much clearer soon because... "You've just been Censored."

I've been thinking about this idea for a while. I think being Censored would be a very scary thing seeing as you're not only ripped from whatever life you're leading only to join a group of people you don't know, but you also have no idea what happens once you reach the Bin.

I was also wondering if anyone finds this idea to be intriguing or how I can improve on it.
