Well, I am for the get together, but here's how I see it.
Rally = Bad idea. Of all my past experiences, there is always trolls. Perverted, Sick Trolls. If possible, avoid this selection at all costs.
Towns = Good idea. A lot of people can be in a single map at once, so if we met up at the fountain, we could have a grouping so we could speak with each other and hopefully draw in members.
Friend Chat = Good, but limited. This is a confusing one. It's a good idea, but only those on friend lists may join. It's a good idea to attract friends in, but other than that, its lacking a bit.
Forums = Medium/Good. See rally for comparisons. In the forums, there will be trolls, but at least they are less of a concern than in Rallies. Besides, The messages are logged in pages, meaning that if someone becomes confused, they can refer back a couple of pages for information.
If I'm missing anything, feel free to add!
And also, tell me if this is a good thought! ^_^

definetely friend chat! that way everyone could help out with the costs and it would be worth it for the privacy, plus the get together could go over the course of a couple days depending on how long we rent a place. and we could use a password to get in, just make an announcement saying what the password is. if we want a fun, private get together then we should do friend chat.

The CB has waaaay too many trolls and most gaians with ADHD. Way too short attention spans for them to truly have a meaningful discussion, or chat, for that matter. The Welcome to Gaia sub-forums can rope in new members but I'm not sure that forum is the place for this. Then there is the next alternative, Zomg (unless they killed it when I was on hiatus) in zomg, you can have fun and earn cash all in the midst of talking to friends/ guildmates. The most popular places are gold beach near the null and outside papasaw mill, or green village fluff farming area (for recrewting newbie and hopefully active gaians). We save the confusion of the many server thingies in the rallies, get to earn cash killing stuff while talking and are able to have a fun time. I think Hollywood is another good place we could meet at too. No trolls around there like in Rally( as you have stated beforehand) P.S: I'm just discussing really. A penny for your thoughts? =]

A penny for your thoughts? =] I guess with my previous experiences, It just seemed that way to me. zOMG can work, but I'm not completely sure about it, I have been in several Crews, and I know that only 6 ppl can be in a crew at once. I don't know what the Guild function would be like, but hopefully, you wouldn't have to be restricted to a small party. As for the CB, Thats a given XD. CB, in the foreign language of intranetting, translates loosely to trolls. If anything, the Guild Forum would be our best bet. (Less trolling to deal with, at least it looks to me.) Back to the Rallys, I have been in group convos (think like...6-7 ppl) and someone just winds up following us around and just sabotaging it. We just need a date or two to put this in action! :3

There is always the normal talk button. If it is for going into instances for cash, then there is also no need. There are many animated around outside said instances. Rally: Well, other people might join who aren't in the group. Soo Rally is a total no-no.
Towns: It's a quiet place, but some people might not find you. It could be held at your house (internet), but you'll have to place your house in your profile.
Friends Chat: Such a good place to do it, but we might not be online and might miss the meeting. The good thing about it is that it's big and people who aren't in the group wouldn't pop out of nowhere. BUT everyone in the Guild has to be your friend.
Forums: I think Forums is a bad one. I guess other guild members can't see each other.
Others
Virtual Hollywood: Hollywood is like Rallies since people who aren't in the guild might pop up. But there is a lot of rooms so we can plan it to be in the apartmant, MStyle Lab, bar, hangout(Building next to MStyle Lab) and more. Soo it's a thumbs up to me.
zOMG: This might be sooo cool to do. All of us can spilt into groups and battle monsters and chat at the same time. The bad thing is like we might be on different servers and each of ous will be in different places in the game so.......
