Masters and Mistresses are those with more dominant personalities. They prefer to lead, guide, and mentor others. They are people of clear personal strength who are more likely to give orders than to take them, and be served rather than serve. Pets are those who may be a bit more timid, submissive, or shy. They prefer to follow, serve, and be led. Pets are not slaves, and should not be considered so. They should be considered close companions who have a strong, mutually caring bond with their Masters or Mistresses. Master and Mistresses and their Pets should protect and comfort one another. The relationship formed should be akin to the best friend you have ever had, a guardianship, or a close family-like dynamic.

Masters and Mistresses are expected to understand that they hold a role of respect and leadership, as well as a title that can be stripped from them by the Head Mistress if their conduct is found unworthy.
Unworthy behavior includes taking advantage of their position in order to treat others poorly. Such treatment includes, but is not limited to; gross mistreatment of pets, using authority to humiliate others, using authority to coerce others, exerting authority over those to whom you have no claim.
Romantic relationships are allowed within the following guidelines:
-Relationships between Pets and their Masters or Mistresses are strictly platonic. Romantic relationships between Masters or Mistresses and their claimed pets are highly volatile and similarly, highly objectionable, due to the assertion of authority of one party over the other.
-Two pets of the same Master or Mistress are permissible when approved by that Master or Mistress, though these relationships are not necessarily encouraged.
-Sexualized relationships are forbidden within the guilds forums and very strongly discouraged outside of it. If a sexualized incarnation of your in-guild characters is discovered it will be considered grounds for banning.
