GENERAL RULES

Quote:
All rules must be followed from the first to the last.

Because otherwise there would be no point in writing them down 3nodding

Quote:
Follow Gaia's ToS

Being a good guildie starts with being a good Gaian. Good Gaians are needed in life 3nodding

Quote:
The Guild Owner's randomness allows him to change the rules at will.

... but you are lucky. The Guild Owner will let you know when such changes happen wink

Quote:
It is not the Guild Owner's or his Crew's duty to test if you know the rules. It is your duty to read and know them.

Your current Guild Owner loves to punish ignorant guildies twice for their ignorance...

Quote:
You will show respect as appropriate.

This includes:
* Showing respect to the thread creator, even if you think the creator's talents are lacking compared to yours.
* Showing respect to the joined roleplayers. They have bothered joining your roleplay, now make it worth their while.
* Showing respect to all the original artists. If you use anything belonging to another artist or that is copyrighted, then credit as appropriate.

Quote:
Keep it real.

* Creating overpowered characters, auto-hitting, God-moding and puppeting is NOT allowed.
* You will not create 15-year olds knowing arts that take a lifetime to master or characters that carry all legendary/unique equipment, wounds take time to heal, running long distances is tiresome...
* Immortal characters (as in: can't die by age, not as in: is immune to anything that kills it) are allowed if the RP Creator allows it.

Quote:
You are free to ask for help or information.

I think many guildies forget this one... 3nodding

Quote:
There is always a chance for problems... Then what?

* If you're having troubles with another guildie, you might do wise to read the "What do do when things go wrong?"-guidelines. In any case, do NOT drag people in the discussion that aren't directly involved.
* If you aren't directly involved in the problem but see a discussion heating up, you should stay out of it. Informing a Crew member or the Guild Owner is a wise decision.

Quote:
We have chats. Do you have words?

Thanks to a huge donation, the Guild now has its own Chat Room. Feel free to enter and talk with the guildies ^^

Guild Chats :3

GUIDELINES TO CREATING AN RP THREAD

Quote:
Each RP contains at least 3 threads:

You should have:
* One INFO-Thread for all background/setting information.
* One RP-Thread for obvious reasons.
* One OOC-Thread for outgame information, questions and discussions concerning the RP.

All the RPs and their related threads should be created in the RP Workbench. When your RP is ready, the Crew or Guild Owner will move them to the appropriate forums.

Quote:
Your RP should offer enough information.

Your RP should offer future players at least following information:
* What is the RP about?
* What is the setting (environment, timeline, races...)
* Access to open plots or a general idea of the storyline is always useful.
* A Skeleton Character Sheet might be useful, too.

Quote:
Respect your players.

You don't own the characters your players make, thus it is wise to communicate with a player if you need his/her character to do something specific.

Quote:
Credit as appropriate.

If you use anything belonging to another artist or that is copyrighted, you credit as appropriate. If credits are lacking, your RP will be closed.
Editing something that already exists/copyrighted doesn't make it yours. You will still credit as appropriate.

Quote:
Be careful with pushing storylines.

Having an NPC, a deity or another means to get the story going is always interesting. However, it doesn't give you permission to auto-hit, God-mode or puppet characters. Be careful not to abuse your powers.

GUIDELINES TO JOINING AN RP THREAD

Quote:
Read the Info first, then create the character.

* Make sure you know what the RP you're about to join is about and what is/isn't possible for your character.
* If there is a Skeleton Sheet, fill in as appropriate. Do you wish something 'special' or do you have questions? Use the OOC-thread or PM the RP Creator.

Quote:
Respect the RP Creator.

It takes a lot of energy and time to create an RP, and you're following someone else's story. Don't go complaining because the RP isn't giving you your dream.

Quote:
Let the RP Creator know if you are going on hiatus/quiting the RP.

It's the least you should do so not to waste other people's fun.

Quote:

WHAT TO DO WHEN THINGS GO WRONG?

Quote:
If you have troubles with a fellow member...

Try solving your problems together, but don't drag people in the conflict that aren't directly involved with the situation.
If the problem can't be solved, ask Crew or Captain for advise. They are there to help you and should remain neutral in situations as these.

Quote:
If you have troubles with the RP Creator/Roleplayer...

Try solving the issue by talking with the Creator - the problem should not drag people in it that aren't directly involved in the situation.
If this doesn't seem to work, ask Crew or Captain for advice. They are there to help you and should remain neutral in situations as these.

Quote:
If you're having troubles with a Crew member...

If the problem can't be solved by talking, you can always ask the Guild Captain to act as a referee.

If you're having troubles with the Guild Owner...

If talking doesn't seem to work... then you're most likely in trouble lol
