After I lost my class ring in a lake about a year ago, I have been searching and searching for a nice ring, preferable a silver band with a small-average garnet stone. I'm not really finding the usual stuff on Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, etc all that attractive. I have trouble finding rings as it is because I inherited my father's insanely large hands and so I wear a size 12 ring.

I'm assuming that at least some of you wear rings, and I was wondering where some nice places might be online to find something?

My ring sizes are all between 10 and 12 myself, so I do share your frustration in finding rings.
Etsy is typically my choice for jewelry shopping these days; it can be a lot to search through, but there's usually going to be at least two or three crafters or designers who made something that suits your tastes.

For example - would this work?

If you've ever wanted larger rings, I also recommend HardCandyGems; the stones are wonderful. I own one of her labradorite rings, which is very sturdy and comfortable. It's well worth the relatively small amount she charges for her work.

Etsy also has the benefits of offering a service (Alchemy) where you can request a custom piece from other people; you set the materials, the style, even the amount you want to pay, and people bid to take the job.

Thanks, I always tend to forget about Etsy, even though I have so many of their pages marked for jewelry making supplies. If I was any better, I'd make my own rings but, alas...I am not.

I'll probably get on there tonight and do some searching around. I only found one other place on the internet that sort of had something I was into, and it was in my size, but the possibilities on Etsy seem almost endless, and Alchemy sounds like a really good idea as well to consider.
