...So I need to know where to start. lol. I've metal'd up outfits before, but with more of a goth style. Chains and stuff. I'm going to be learning how to silver solder too, but that's all. So how do I go about this? ((I'm not looking for a complete how-to guide, as I'm not a "dummy," Just tips and stuff to avoid. And, how do I get the stuff attached to the clothes?))

I'd reccomend starting with garage sales, you don't really need to go crazy with attaching things to your clothing, just get stuff that looks old and victorian. I would also reccomend getting some goggles of some sort. Any sort of goggles will work as long as you get some rust/bronze colored spray-paint and spray-paint the goggles. I would reccomend having warmer colors too, but that is just my preferance. I have seen steampunk outfits in all sorts of colors ranging from brown, to bright pink, to black. I would just reccomend looking up victorian clothing or steampunk clothing on google images to get an idea then just go round some garage sails till you find something smile also, just stores like Target and stuff often times have things that can work so just look around.

This is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for, I never would have thought of the garage sale thing. Thanks mate. And I checked Google Images first, but there wasn't too much stuff that looked useful on it.

Thrift stores are a good place to look for some things that you can repurpose. Goodwill, Salvation Army, and any local flea market can sometimes have some really cool stuff.
