Lavaridge Town
DESCRIPTION - Lavaridge is a tiny town located at the foot of Mt. Chimney. The Town is well known for it's natural hotsprings and is a popular destination for elderly citizens to come and relax. If you are going to come visit, whether it be for a Gym Battle or to relax, make sure you pick up some Lava Cookies! It's a town specialty!
LOCATION - Lavaridge Town is located in Central-Western Hoenn.
PEOPLE - There are only 28 residents in the entire town, being that it is located in a small nook high up in the mountains. Most of the residents are Elderly who have come here to spend the rest of their retirement in comfort.
RESOURCES/EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST -
Poke Center - Right next to the Department Store, and a short walk from the Gym. This Center is a bit different from your typical Pokemon Center, because this one has an exit in the back that leads to the hot springs! This means while your Pokemon are healing, you can do some self-healing as well!
Pokemon Gym - Lavaridge Town, small though it may be, houses the 4th Gym on your road to becoming a Pokemon Master! If you wish to collect all the badges, you must get past Flannery and her Fire-type attacks! If you defeat her, she will present you with the Heat Badge. Only then will your journey continue.
Hot Springs - Connected to an opening in the back of the Pokemon Center, this is the place to relieve all that tension Pokemon Training works up. The spring never runs out, so draw as much water as you like! The magma in the active volcano nearby causes veins of water to well up as hot springs.
Pokemon Herb Shop - The Herb Shop sells 4 different kinds of herbal medicine. They are extremely bitter and not too many Pokemon actually enjoy eating it, but it works! Remember: "Bitter taste - better cure!"
Jagged Pass - On your way into town, you surely noticed the Jagged Pass, considering it is the only way to get to Lavaridge Town! Jagged Pass is the only way to get to the summit of Mt. Chimney... other than the cable car, of course. The passage is steep and treacherous. Be careful when breathing, since ash constantly falls from the volcano and covers everything in a blanket of gray.
Mt. Chimney - This place is hot hot hot! A Hoenn Landmark, Mt. Chimney over looks the entire Hoenn main-land. You can either get here by climbing the dangerous Jagged Pass, or by riding the safe and comfy cable car! Here is the place to buy those Lavaridge Specialty Lava Cookies! Breathing can get a bit difficult up here, as the air is filled with hot ash and soot. The view is lovely, though!
Fiery Path - A tunnel going straight through Mt. Chimney. Pretty handy for travelers who need to get to the other side of the volcano, but don't want to do a lot of hiking to get there.
MYTH/LORE - According to legend, the hot springs are said to calm tension, relieve muscle ache, even solve romantic problems and attract money! Is there anything these springs can't do!?
