the Midterra, closest Geostrata to the surface of the planet The housing for the most part that outsiders see is simmple block and block stack geometry, neatly paved roads with solid but common place grannite,. The lands closest to the surface that serve as entrances for trade and communion with the dwellers of the surface are like a thowback of several thousands of years. There are great wooden gates that lead to the deeper levels of the Midterra however non dwarfs are forbidden entrance, unless under extremely special cases. However beyond those gates the architecture drasticaly changes, as does the quality of materials and craftsmanship, and not by any small measure. Their are 3-d geometric honeycomb like apartments carved in massive rock pillars and along the rock walls, everything is runed and reinforced with advanced masonry and stone architecture knowledge High grade rack and actual dwarf stone is used in the building of roads and complexes not to mention in the goods. and this is just the midterra beyond just one huge solid wood gate... However The quality to dwarfs might be lacking but to outsiders the materials are what dwarf goods are famouse for: tough as granite, enduring as a legend. The primary exports going out from the Midterra are stones and stonework, Low grade dwarf beer (sold as high grade) , rune crafting of the lowest grade and low grade dwaf stone coated weapons. The Dwarf people you greet here are wild, and nutty, blunt and to the point, quick to drink, quick to brag, quick to throw a fist... or a rock. But are otherwise accepting of anyone who can handle them. They may not be your friend in a few minutes but you may walk away happily drunk with the sound of a few good drinking songs still ringing in your ears...
