Odilon sighed, adjusting his glasses as he took the book from the library. He just had time to get a bite to eat before bed, he thought, and as long as he kept to his schedule, his few sparring sessions seemed to go well. He was getting stronger every day, and perhaps soon he would be able to find that Noir woman again and have that rematch. He would show her he wasn't one to be trifled with... As he walked, his eyes caught sight of a pawn nearby, her bright blue hair startling enough that he stopped and just looked for a few moments.

((I'm just assuming he left the library and is in the courtyard, LOL)) Mimi twirled about as she hummed a happy tune, spinning her little skirt as she bowed to the little butterflies in the air whom had followed her into the courtyard. Apparently, her hair had been a bright beacon to them, seeming to captivate them more than the flowers in the meadow from where she came.
Still singing and dancing, she caught sight of the pawn staring at her and stopped abruptly, making one of the butterflies bump into her and get tangled in her hair.
"Oh, hello there! What's your name?"

Odo stared for a moment, hesitant, then shifted from one foot to the next, resisting the urge to reach up and pull off his glasses. She was awfully pretty, though... he had to wonder how she acted out on the field, against the Noir. Was she so silly then? Surely not.
"I'm Odilon," he said belatedly, realizing that he'd been staring and not answering. His brows drew down in frustration at himself, and he added awkwardly, "You can call me Odo."

((She's just lucky those Noir's went easy on her. OTL)) She seemed to stare at him as if deep in thought, then her eyes opened wide and a smile spread across her face.
"Ododo?"
She giggled as she pulled the struggling butterfly out of her hair, and released it into the sky.
"My name is Mimi! It's very nice to meet you Ododo!"

Odo frowned at the corruption of his name. "Odo. Two syllables," he corrected, his voice firm. "Or Odilon if you prefer three." But even as he spoke, he had to marvel just a little. Her touch must be very delicate to leave the butterfly intact...

His words were lost on her as she gleefully repeated her version of his name. "Ododo! Ododo!" She reached out and grabbed his hand, shaking it enthusiastically. "Hi Ododo!"
Noticing the book tucked underneath one of his arms, she peered at it curiously, then looked up at him, as her head lowered to get a closer look at it.
"What's that?"

Odo so wasn't ready for this. She was beautiful, but her utter lack of... well, attention! "Odo," he stressed sourly, even as he handed her the book of tactics he'd borrowed. "You're making me sound like some deranged bird!"
He folded his arms over his chest to keep himself from reaching out and shaking her a little. He'd never make Knight if he couldn't control himself better, after all.

Mimi blinked as she didn't understand why he was so upset, clutching the book with both hands, not even paying attention to it.
"You...you don't like my nickname for you?" she pouted.
She sniffed softly, then looked down at the book he handed her.
"B-book of Tactics..." she read out. She looked back up at Odo and smiled softly. "Are you training to be a knight?"

"Yes, I am," Odo nodded firmly, and then added, "And no, I don't like the nickname. I answer to Odilon or Odo. Just those." Earnest green eyes watched her quietly as he waited to see whether she'd actually listen to his complaint. It wasn't that he wanted to be rude... but the name sounded foolish, and with the glasses, he already felt foolish enough.

She gave the book a good long stare before thrusting it back at Odo with a giant smile on her face.
"Then I wish you luck, Odidi!"
She frowned slightly as he told her he didn't like it.. even though she herself didn't realize she had changed his name yet again.
"But... it sounds cute?" she giggled, reaching out to ruffle his hair.
